Ketogenic Diet Can be used to Control Seizures

A high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet called ‘ketogenic diet’ could be used to control seizures in epilepsy patients. According to a latest study, there is a direct link between metabolism in brain cells and their ability to transmit signals.

The research by scientists at McGill University and the University of Zurich shows that metabolism can control “the processes that inhibits brain activity” seen in people with epilepsy. The study team wanted to know why putting children with epilepsy on high-fat and low-carb diet is effective in controlling seizures.

Other researchers had previously assumed that metabolism and signalling in brain cells are un-related processes. However, the current study shows that both the pathways are connected.

The ketogenic diet lost its popularity post-1950s after anticonvulsant drugs hit the market. But, these drugs carry many side-effects and also don’t work in about 20 percent of the patients. The current study might offer a different approach on controlling the condition.

Mississippi Parents say it’s time for the state to allow parents to have the legal right to select, delay or opt out of vaccines

Mississippi Parents for Vaccine Rights says it’s time for the state to allow parents to have the legal right to select, delay or opt out of vaccines.

About 30 members of the group rallied [January 22nd] at the state Capitol in an effort to push for a bill this year to allow exceptions to the state’s immunization law. Mississippi doesn’t allow philosophical or religious exemptions from immunizations.

“There are 48 states that allow that right,” said Mary Jo Perry of Pelahatchie, co-director of Parents for Vaccine Rights.

Currently, the only way parents have of getting around the vaccines required to enter school is to homeschool their children.

Perry and others in the group said they aren’t anti-vaccine; instead, they are concerned about the rapid, piggy-back schedule of the vaccines.

“Some parents would like to slow it down,” Perry said of the vaccination schedule. “We want to have that option.”

Perry said her son suffered a grand mal seizure, which she said she believes it was due to a vaccination since it occurred within hours of her son getting the shot.

She said it is difficult to get a waiver for health reasons from the vaccinations.

Lindey Magee, co-director of Mississippi Parents for Vaccine Rights, said the group has heard from some parents who won’t move to the state because of the lack of a vaccine exception in law.

Family Farm in Michigan Threatened with Armed Enforcement from DNR for Raising Heritage Pigs

Mark Baker of Baker Green Acres gives an update on their ongoing battle with the State of Michigan regarding their heritage breed free range hogs. Their case might be reaching a dangerous point with the State of Michigan, as Mark is reporting that a USDA field agent has stated in writing that Mark is a “gun-waving lunatic” and that the USDA would not come to visit his farm, but that “armed DNR agents” will come instead.

Health Impact News has reported on the Baker Green Acres family farm situation since April 2012, when the DNR decided to label all free range hogs in the State of Michigan as illegal, by classifying them as “feral” pigs. Mark and others have reported that the new definition of “feral swine” adopted by the DNR in 2012 came directly from the commercial pork industry, which raises all commercial pork indoors in confinement.

Since the State made it a criminal offense to keep their heritage breed hogs that have now been ruled illegal, most hog ranchers destroyed their herds and went out business. They did not want to face arrest on criminal charges.

Mark Baker decided to challenge the ruling, however, and has been involved with a long legal battle with the State of Michigan since then. Various actions have been taken against the Baker family to try and force them out of business, such as levying a fine of $700,000 against them, and getting the USDA to refuse to process their pork at a USDA processing facility, effectively eliminating most of their market to sell their pork.

Now, with court case getting closer, Mark is worried that since they believe they have such a strong case against the State, they may try something else before he gets his say in court. As you watch the video below for the latest update, he will explain that he and his family are peaceful people, and portraying him as “gun-waving lunatic” is not true.

Study: OTC Pain Relievers Taken During Flu Season Lead to an Additional 700 Flu Deaths and Several Thousand More Infections a Year

More bad news for over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers. A study just published at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario links common pain relievers that reduce fever to spreading the flu virus, resulting in hundreds of deaths and thousands of more flu infections each year.

This particular study does not even address the toxicity of OTC drugs like acetaminophen (Tylenol). Last year ProPublica revealed that thousands of people are dying every year from the toxic effects of acetaminophen. Another study published last year linked acetaminophen with increased rates of asthma and autism.

In this new study, according to researchers in Canada, popping acetaminophen, ibuprofen or other pain relievers can actually help spread the flu to others.

The study was published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B, and suggests that, based on factors like the quantity of pain relievers sold and the reproduction rate of the flu virus, using these drugs leads to an additional 700 flu deaths and several thousand more infections a year.

CDC Misleads Nations Ob/Gyns -Covering-up The Most Massive Fetal Death Reports Associated With The Influenza Vaccine in the History of Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS)

Dr. Gary Goldman’s study on the 4,250% spike in fetal death reports during the 2009/10 H1N1 “pandemic” was originally rejected by the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (AJOG), who is charged by the National Coalition of Organized Women (NCOW) as complicit in a massive cover-up and manipulation of data associated with the 2009/10 flu season fetal deaths. This report is now available free to the public. Subsequently published in the Human & Experimental Toxicology Journal (HET), as a Sage choice study, the Goldman study is now listed in Pub med as a free PMC article.

Despite an apparent trail of documented collusion and misconduct amongst the CDC, AJOG (Elsevier) and 9 non-profits including the March of Dimes, this alarmingly poor outcome of the 2009/10 H1N1 vaccine experiment on the fetuses of pregnant women was successfully covered up by the CDC until Goldman exposed the statistics, documenting the harm in his recent publication.

Dr. Marie McCormick, chairperson of the CDC’s H1N1 Vaccine Safety Risk and Assessment Working Group (VSRAWG) testified, and submitted deceptive reports to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), contending no unusual signals nor adverse outcomes in the pregnant population during the 2009/10 public experiments on pregnant women.

However, pressed by the NCOW statistics extracted from the government’s own data, Dr. Shimabukuro of the Centers of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) corroborated the NCOW data in a public presentation (slide 20) in Atlanta, Georgia, in October of 2010. This contradiction to Dr.McCormick’s testimony evidences that the CDC indeed knew of the increasing level in fetal-loss reports, in near real time. Yet the CDC failed to immediately notify the nation’s Ob/Gyns, who, uninformed, continued to double-dose their pregnant patients with the fetal-fatal flu shots that collectively delivered up to 50 micrograms of mercury. Due to the success of this well-orchestrated cover up and the complicity of the non-profits and AJOG, pregnant women are now pressured to get 4 vaccine doses, (Flu, TDaP) and thereafter are mandated to give up to 49 vaccine doses to their surviving children in order for them to attend school.

Ambien Becoming Better Known for Triggering Murders and other Bizarre Behavior than it is for Treating Insomnia

On March 29, 2009, Robert Stewart, 45, stormed into the Pinelake Health and Rehab nursing home in Carthage, North Carolina and opened fire, killing eight people and wounding two. Stewart’s apparent target was his estranged wife, who worked as a nurse in the home. She hid in a bathroom and was unharmed. Stewart was charged with eight counts of first-degree murder; if convicted, he could face the death penalty. Even though there was evidence that Stewart’s actions were premeditated (he allegedly had a target), Stewart’s defense team successfully argued that since he was under the influence of Ambien, a sleep aid, at the time of the shooting, he was not in control of his actions. Instead of the charges sought by the prosecutors, Stewart was convicted on eight counts of second-degree murder.

The Ambien defense was also used in the case of Julie Ann Bronson, a 45-year-old flight attendant from Texas. In April of 2009, Bronson took a couple of Ambien to help her sleep. She had been drinking wine earlier in the day, and went to bed early. She awoke the following morning in jail, still in her pajamas, barefoot and terrified. When she was told that she had run over three people, including an 18-month-old girl who suffered severe brain damage as a result of the wreck, she was horrified. “It was surreal. It was like a bad dream.” In May of 2012, Bronson pleaded guilty to the felonies of intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid. “I did the crime but I never intended to do it,” she testified. “I wouldn’t hurt a flea. And if I would have hit somebody, I would have stopped and helped. We’re trained in CPR.” Bronson faced ten years, but because of the Ambien defense, she will serve six months in prison and have ten years of probation

Ironically, you are more likely to be successful using the Ambien defense if you injure or kill someone than if you just crash into a parked car or a tree.

Lawsuits Against Hospitals Begin for Loss of Employment due to Mandatory Flu Shots

As we reported earlier, a Michigan nurse has filed a $100 million class action lawsuit against the hospital that fired her for refusing a flu vaccine as a requirement for employment.

So we did some research and we found out that there are lawsuits around the country currently in litigation from healthcare workers who have lost their jobs as a result of refusing the seasonal flu vaccine. We report on a few here.

As we have previously reported, the recent move by hospitals to become so strict over requiring their employees (whether they have contact with patients or not) to receive the flu vaccine, is due to a provision in the new Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) that states health care facilities must have 90% of their employees vaccinated for the flu or lose federal reimbursement for Medicare and Medicaid. That amount was 1% in 2013 and is reportedly going to increase up to 2% by 2017.

So now that the avalanche of lawsuits has begun against health care facilities for terminating employment based on flu vaccine status, or requiring people to wear a mask the entire flu season, the financial question they will need to consider is whether the potential one to two percent loss in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement is enough to cover all their legal fees in trying to mandate the flu vaccine against desire of their employees, and the ensuing litigation that could result from terminating employment or forcing them to wear masks.

Of course, President Obama has rewritten so many aspects of the Affordable Health Care Act, that maybe he could just step in and strike out the clause that penalizes health care facilities for not having 90% of their employees vaccinated for the flu. Or is the pharmaceutical lobby too powerful to allow that to happen?

Nurse Fired for Refusing Flu Shot Sues Hospital, Federal and State Governments for $100,000,000

Nurses all across the United States are having their Constitutional rights trampled upon for refusing mandatory flu vaccinations. As we have previously reported, thousands of nurses across the United States are taking a stand against forced flu vaccinations, choosing to either lose their job as a result, or endure shame and ridicule for being forced to wear a mask while on duty during flu season.

It was only a matter of time before some of these nurses began taking legal action to protect their rights. Some litigation began last year, but details are not available publicly.

Dr. Karen Sullivan Sibert, herself a pro-vaccine doctor, wrote an opinion piece explaining how requiring nurses to wear masks for refusing the flu vaccination violates HIPAA law for patient privacy.

In addition to the violation of personal rights, the CDC published a study in 2013 showing that vaccination of healthcare workers with the seasonal flu vaccine offered no significant measurable protection of patients from the flu.

And as we have reported here at Health Impact News, the flu vaccine is not without risk. The governments own data on settled cases due to vaccine injuries show that the flu vaccine causes more serious injuries, including death, than all other vaccines combined.

Now, the Law Offices of James Elsman has issued a press release stating that they have a client who is a nurse that has lost her job due to refusing the flu vaccination, and she has filed a class action suit for one hundred million dollars against the hospital that fired her, as well as the state and federal governments.

It should be noted that the new Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) has mandated that healthcare facilities must have 90% of their employees vaccinated with the flu vaccine to receive full reimbursements of Medicare and Medicaid payments.

Are Unvaccinated People Being Wrongly Blamed for New Outbreaks that are due to Faulty Vaccines?

Almost every time an outbreak of a disease occurs in the U.S. for which a vaccine exists, people who refuse vaccines are automatically blamed for the outbreaks. Unfortunately, this blame is based on belief in doctrine more than on data and science. Justina Pelletier Finally Leaves Boston Children's Hospital, but not Returned to Parents

The Boston Globe and the West Hartford Patch are reporting that Justina Pelletier has finally left Boston Children’s Hospital, where she was held captive against her desire, and the desire of her parents, for almost one year. She has not been returned to her parents, however. She has reportedly been transferred to the Wayside Youth and Family Support Network in Framingham, Massachusetts, and is still under the care of doctors at Boston’s Children’s hospital.

A judge ruled earlier this month (January 2014) that Boston Children’s Hospital could not indefinitely detain Justina in their Children’s Bader 5 psychiatric unit, and reportedly ordered that a plan be put into place to transfer her back to Connecticut, which is where her home is and where her parents live. It is also where Tufts Medical Center is located, the facility originally treating Justina before Boston Children’s Hospital had the Massachusetts Child Protection Agency seize custody of Justina due to a disagreement over her treatment.

Beau Berman, a local investigative reporter from Fox CT, has covered this story in depth. He gives background information regarding Justina’s case, showing how Boston Children’s Hospital has a history of seizing children from parents. Some of those children have even died.

Unless a local media source picks up the story, or it happens to someone you know, most Americans are totally unaware that this is happening quite frequently in the United States. Medical tyranny is sadly a reality today in the U.S., and if you disagree with a medical professional over the care of your child, you face losing custody of your child.

Justina’s case is especially bizarre, because the parents were actually following a treatment plan for her that was recommended by doctors in their home town. Their only “crime” was to disagree with the doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital and want to discharge her and take her back to her original doctors.

Boston Children’s Hospital is part of the Harvard Medical School system, with strong ties to funding from the federal government. Boston Children’s Hospital “is home to the world’s largest research enterprise based at a pediatric hospital. More than 1,100 scientists, including nine members of the National Academy of Sciences, 11 on-staff members of the Institute of Medicine and 9 members of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.”

Could it be that Justina is part of a medical research trial?

The Nutrition Monopoly Is Beginning to Crumble

When it comes to nutrition, it is very important that you have the right to freedom of choice and information. Unfortunately, organizations such as the American Dietetic Association (now calling itself the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or AND) are threatening your freedom of choice about health and nutrition.

The AND has pushed state laws to block almost anyone, except their registered dietitians (RDs), from legally giving nutritional advice.

Their mission is to censor the broader nutrition community, which includes many well trained and educated practitioners, such as clinical nutritionists, pharmacists, naturopathic doctors and traditional naturopaths, acupuncturists, herbalists, nurses, mental health professionals, homeopaths, personal trainers, and the like.

All across the U.S., however, this nutritional monopoly is beginning to crumble, especially at the state level.

Study: Intermittent Fasting and Ketogenic Diet Effective in Cancer Therapy

One of the truly exciting new frontiers in nutrition therapy is the study of the high-fat low-carb ketogenic diet, especially in relation to preventing and curing cancer. The ketogenic diet as a therapeutic diet is not new. It has been around at least since the 1920s, when researchers at John Hopkins discovered that the diet could cure some children from epileptic seizures where drugs had failed.

In 2013 we published a few stories highlighting new research showing the ketogenic diet’s value to cancer patients. Many of these studies are looking at not only the ketogenic diet, but also the concept of intermittent fasting or calorie restriction. These are beneficial aspects to study, as generally they cannot be mimicked by drugs.

There are indications that the way the ketogenic diet produces “ketones”, or the “ketogenic effect”, is being studied in order to produce pharmaceutical products (drugs or vaccines) that can mimic the same effect. With years of experience now documented in using the ketogenic diet with children suffering from seizures, one of the most common complaints is that the diet is difficult to adhere to, as the child has to abstain from refined carbohydrates and typical childhood sweets such as cakes and candies. The reasoning is that a drug would make life more bearable instead of following such a strict diet.

I am very encouraged by this recent study, published in January 2014, looking at the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting as an adjunct nutritional therapy to be administered to cancer patients undergoing standard radiation therapy in cancer treatment. The study provides “dietary interventions” to be used along side “radiotherapy”. Therefore this is not really a study that lends itself to developing more pharmaceutical drugs. However, will physicians in the allopathic medical field seriously consider rigorous diet therapy?

Of course, there are plenty of cancer therapies that are effective and non-toxic, but they are not covered by insurance companies in the U.S., and most of them are not approved by the FDA, so one must go south of the border into Mexico or travel to another country to receive the best non-toxic cancer therapies.

Study: Essential Oil of Lemon Effective Against Candida Yeast Infections

A study published in the journal Mycopathologia showed that the essential oil of lemon can be used as a very effective natural remedy against candidiasis caused by C. albicans.

Candida albicans is a yeast (or fungus) that normally inhabits our digestive system. In healthy people, Candida does little harm because it’s kept in check by beneficial microorganisms or probiotics.

The study showed that the antifungal potential of lemon essential oils against Candida yeast strains was related to the high content of monoterpenoids and the type of Candida strains. The authors concluded: “Our study characterizes lemon essential oils, which could be used as very effective natural remedies against candidiasis caused by C. albicans.”

Dow Chemical Readies for a New Era of Superweeds - By Getting USDA to Approve Older Toxic Pesticide for GMO Seeds

One of the empty promises originally made when genetically modified technology was developed was that crops would need fewer pesticides. More than ten years later, however, we are seeing that not only have the genetically modified seeds developed resistance to pesticides, but so have many weeds, as we are seeing a new breed of superweeds that are resistant to Monsanto’s glyphosate (Round-up Ready).

Now, Dow Chemical has petitioned U.S. regulators to allow them to use an older pesticide on their genetically modified corn and soybean seeds, 2,4-D, which was part of the infamous “Agent Orange”. Agent Orange was the Vietnam War defoliant that was blamed for numerous health problems suffered during and after the war. Although the main health effects of Agent Orange were blamed on the other component of the mixture (2,4,5-T) and dioxin contamination, critics say 2,4-D has significant health risks of its own.

Earlier this month (January 2014), the USDA gave Dow Chemical the green-light to proceed after issuing an Environmental Impact Statement.

Glaxo to Stop Paying Doctors for Drug Promotion

Drug giant GlaxoSmithKline has announced it will no longer pay health care professionals to promote its products or the diseases they treat to “audiences who can prescribe or influence prescribing.”
Glaxo also plans to stop compensating its sales representatives based on the number of prescriptions that doctors write. Some experts believe the changes are designed to deflect attention away from recent scandals involving the company, including a $3-billion fraud settlement in 2012 and ongoing bribery allegations in China. In 2014, drug and medical device companies will be required to report and disclose all payments to physicians and the information will be displayed in an online government database that you will be able to search. You can also search ProPublica’s database to see the disclosed payments made to physicians in your state.

The pharmaceutical industry, and many doctors, appear to be making great efforts by to get as many people as possible vaccinated against shingles. Even if such an intervention was highly effective in preventing shingles, which certainly has not been shown to be the case, the information in this article should make it clear that such vaccinations are unnecessary. The side effects that would be suffered by a significant number of individuals need never occur in the first place. The real problem is that what is discussed in this article generates relatively little income for anybody in the healthcare industry.

Left to itself along with mainstream therapies that include analgesics, antiviral agents like acyclovir, and corticosteroids, the rash will generally resolve in two to four weeks. The pain is generally lessened little by analgesics. The clinical response of shingles to vitamin C therapy is decidedly different from its response to traditional therapies. While there are not many reports in the literature on vitamin C and shingles, the studies that do exist are striking. Frederick Klenner, MD, who pioneered the effective use of vitamin C in a wide variety of infections and toxin exposures, published the results of his vitamin C therapy on eight patients with shingles. He gave 2,000 to 3,000 mg of vitamin C by injection every 12 hours, supplemented by 1,000 mg in fruit juice by mouth every two hours. In seven of the eight patients treated in this manner, complete pain relief was reported within two hours of the first vitamin C injection. Furthermore, the blisters on Dr. Klenner’s patients were reported to begin healing rapidly, with complete resolution within the first 72 hours.

The Vaccine Myth of "Polio-free" Status - Polio Vaccine Caused 53,000 Paralysis Victims in India Last Year

There is a dirty secret in the vaccine business that is very well documented: the live oral polio vaccine can actually spread polio and causes “non-polio acute flaccid paralysis.”

This is very well-known throughout the world, but in the pro-vaccine U.S. mainstream media, this information is seldom, if ever, published, so most Americans are still under the assumption that polio has been eradicated due to vaccines.

Unfortunately, that is a false belief not supported by the facts.

As usual, we need to look at reports outside the U.S. media to find out what is happening with vaccines around the world.

This week, LiveMint in India reported on the polio-free myth in India, explaining how the live polio vaccine was responsible for increases in paralysis. LiveMint is the second largest business newspaper in India, and has an exclusive relationship with the Wall Street Journal. So this report was from “mainstream” media in India.

What is clear from this report, and well documented in peer-reviewed literature, is that the term “polio-free status” is completely meaningless. The designation of a country as “polio-free” is simply a triumphant marketing cry by pharmaceutical interests to continue promoting their live polio vaccines, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that it does more harm than good.

Chicken Pox – Bad Vaccine or Bad Reaction?

The chicken pox is going around a community in the San Juan Islands in Washington State. The first case was in a boy who was vaccinated for chicken pox 10 days prior. So the vaccinated kids started the outbreak. Two other kids who got vaccinated also got the chicken pox. Chicken pox is a LIVE virus vaccine and live virus vaccines can in fact cause disease. Just like in this case.

Now get this. These children who contracted the chicken pox from the vaccine have been deemed to have not had the chicken pox but rather “a negative reaction to the immunization”. In an even greater twist of logic, these children who got the chicken pox from the vaccine have been cleared to return to school – even though a vaccinated child who contracted the disease from the vaccine started the outbreak – but the unvaccinated kids who DO NOT have the chicken pox, must stay out of school for 21 days.

So let me get this straight. If my kid is vaccinated and gets the chicken pox, it is not the chicken pox and he can go back to school but if he is unvaccinated and has no symptoms, he has to stay home?!?!?

Dr. Brownstein: New Flu Vaccine Worthless

Dr. Brownstein is one of those unusual doctors that does not take everything printed by the pharmaceutical companies as gospel truth, and does something that is quite rare these days among doctors: he actually reads the research before recommending a pharmaceutical product to his patients.

What would happen to the pharmaceutical industry if more doctors acted like Dr. Brownstein and put patient care above the interests of pharmaceutical profits? We would probably end up with far safer products than we have today!

In this article by Dr. Brownstein, he breaks down the research used to grant Fluzone approval by the FDA. This version of Fluzone is the flu vaccine designed for seniors above the age of 65, which is four times as strong as the regular flu vaccine. He shows how the results of their own published research reveals that this vaccine is not effective, and is basically worthless.

This is important to understand because injuries and deaths due to the flu vaccine are very real and cannot be denied. The U.S. vaccine court awards more damages due to injuries and deaths from the flu vaccine than all other vaccines combined.

The argument put forth to explain away flu vaccine injuries and deaths is that deaths and injuries due to influenza are even greater, and hence the vaccine is needed. The problem is that statistics do not back up the belief that the flu vaccine is actually effective in protecting one from any of the season’s range of influenza viruses. A comprehensive Cochrane review of the medical research used to justify flu vaccines reached the same conclusion.

The next time a physician recommends that you or someone you care for receive a flu vaccine, ask them if they have read the package insert and if they can explain to you all the risks and adverse effects associated with the flu vaccine. Chances are pretty good that they have not. Because the ones who do, like Dr. Brownstein, are not recommending the flu vaccine: they know it is dangerous and worthless!

It is especially sad to see flu vaccines forced upon senior citizens in some cases, and presented as “mandatory” when they live in managed senior care facilities. No senior should be forced to receive a vaccine that they, or their legal guardian, does not approve.

In addition to what Dr. Brownstein reveals here regarding the ineffectiveness of the high dose Fluzone vaccine for seniors, the package insert also reveals that 23 seniors died during the drug trials.

Should the Federal Government Mandate GMO Labeling?

The video here is Joel Salatin’s speech making the claim against federal initiatives to label GMO foods. He spoke in a debate with Dr. Mercola, who presented the pro-government labeling side. The debate was a fund-raising event sponsored by the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund in Atlanta. It should be noted that both persons debating are friends, and opposed to GMOs.

Both sides actually make great points, but Salatin’s message is the one less heard. He posted the transcript on the Polyface Farm Facebook Page here, which we copied below. It is a message that needs to be heard by all concerned about GMO products, and the dangers of relying on a government largely influenced by lobbyists from Big Ag and Big Food to do something to “protect” consumers.

Big Processed Food Companies Look to Eliminate GMO Labeling

Politico broke a story last week showing how the Grocery Manufacturers Association, which represents such processed food giants as ConAgra, PepsiCo and Kraft, is trying to preempt state GMO labeling laws by formulating a bill at the national level.

While the story in Politico mentions that this is a bill that could reach the floor sometime later this year, it is good to be aware of this potential strategy in case we see it end up as a rider or amendment in the current Farm Bill currently under debate.

More Accusations Emerge Over Boston Children's Hospital's Forced Medical Treatments

Another man attending the Justina Pelletier rallies outside the courthouse in Boston claims the same thing happened to his child, and that the hospital ended up killing his 2 year old son who had previously been healthy, and fed only organic food. He died in October 2013. Here is his statement on video.

Another published story from 2008 explains a child died while in custody at Boston Children’s Hospital, after being removed from her parents over a disagreement on medical treatment.

Intelligent Design vs. Scientism

If you were to come across Mt. Rushmore while hiking through the hills of South Dakota, having no prior knowledge of the structure, which statement is more “scientific” and which one requires a lot of faith?

1. Some intelligent being designed this.

2. Wind and erosion over millions of years created this.

If you choose #1 as the statement most “scientific” (with no guessing or conjecture as to who made the design), then you would be labeled as an idiot trying to force your religious beliefs on others by 21st scientists when applying the same scientific reasoning to other things found in nature.

If you choose #2, however, starting with the presupposition that #1 cannot be true, you have now created a new belief system from which to develop your theories or origins upon. This new religion, fueled mainly by Darwinism, is Scientism.

Scientism is the basis of much of western culture today. It gave us eugenics, for example, and was responsible for the medical tyranny that unfolded in Nazi Germany leading up to World War II.

What few people today realize, however, is that the foundations of the religion of Scientism is bringing about medical tyranny in many of the same ways as they unfolded in Nazi Germany, today right here in the United States.

If you want to understand #1, however, you need to study Intelligent Design. Intelligent Design (ID) is a branch of science which is constantly under attack today, and labeled as “religion” or something else it is not.

ID is quite different from “Creationism.” Creationism moves beyond the observation of scientific facts and makes statements as who the Creator is, such as what is written in the Bible (a worthy topic of study in and of itself!) ID does not deal with the “who,” but leaves that up to religion.

Teen-age Girl Forceably Held by Boston Children's Hospital Might be Transferred Back to Connecticut

A teen-age girl who has been held at Boston Children’s Hospital against her will and the will of her parents for 11 months due to a dispute in medical treatment may be transferred back to Connecticut soon.

These are the reports coming out of the most recent court hearing in Boston. The judge presiding over the case has issued a gag order, so it is difficult to get details.

The judge reportedly ruled that State of Massachusetts will not receive permanent custody of Justina Pelletier, where she has been held in custody in Boston Children’s Hospital “Bader 5″ psychiatric unit. It appears the judge would like Justina to go back to Connecticut, which is where she was originally being treated until Boston Children’s Hospital intervened and kept her detained in their psych ward because of a disagreement over her diagnosis. The family had brought Justina in to Boston Children’s Hospital to simply receive treatment for the flu. They have not been allowed to bring her home now for 11 months, as they watch her condition deteriorate, only being allowed to visit her once a week.

Ted Glanzer of the West Hartford Patch has also been covering this story, and he reports that Kathleen Higgins, a former Boston Children’s nurse, wrote a Jan. 8 letter to Olga Roche, commissioner of the Department of Children and Families, stating that the hospital’s treatment of Justina in this case was more akin to “torture.”

Unfortunately, Justina’s story is not all that unusual. There are many cases very similar to this one, where Child Protection Services or a similar agency, is used by a doctor or hospital to seize children away from their parents when they did not comply to their recommended medical treatments.

Doctors in Pennsylvania Intimidating Parents over Vaccines and Misrepresenting State Laws

A mother submitted a photo from a physician’s website in Pennsylvania stating that since 2012 “children who are not fully vaccinated will be denied entry to the school building.”

She asks: “Is that legal? We live in Pennsylvania.”

No, the information is incorrect, even though it is written on a physician’s form. Find out what the actual law states in Pennsylvania, and in other states regarding legal vaccine exemptions that allow unvaccinated children to continue attending school.

How Much Money do Doctors Make From Flu Shots?

What would readers think if I provided an admission in writing from a medical doctor as to a reason why the medical profession should consider administering flu vaccines?

One MD, who also is a speaker for Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, and Sanofi-Pasteur – all vaccine makers, says: “Giving influenza vaccine is also good for the financial health of your practice.”

That candid remark, made in writing, came from Richard Lander, MD, and was published in the article “Influenza vaccination makes sense for everyone” on Healio Pediatrics webpage about Infectious Diseases in Children.

Guess how much the vaccine administration fee is? According to Dr. Lander, it should range from $14 to $30. Dr. Lander uses a hypothetical patient base of 2,000 and explains who may or may not receive the flu vaccine. He contends bottom line and revenue results are $14,000 to $30,000 from only 1,000 patients receiving the flu shot. However, Dr. Lander throws in a financial wild card regarding 100 patients, who called to get a flu shot and then end up scheduling a well visit. According to Lander, a doctor “should be generating an additional $10,000. Bottom line: $25,000 to $42,500, which is not bad!”

Pro Vaccine Doctor Explains how Mandatory Flu Vaccines for Healthcare Workers Violates HIPAA Law

We guard the privacy of patients in my hospital zealously—we take care of a lot of celebrities since we’re right in the shadow of Beverly Hills. And of course we live in terror of HIPAA violations, those federally mandated HHS rules that protect individually identifiable healthcare information and could bring down “civil money penalties” upon us if we don’t keep our patients’ medical records strictly confidential.

But for healthcare workers—physicians, nurses, technicians, even medical supply vendors—in LA County, the usual privacy rules don’t apply any more. Now everybody gets to know at least some of our medical history: whether or not we’ve been vaccinated against influenza.

How will anyone know whether or not I’ve had this year’s flu vaccine? Because policy dictates that I must publicly say so, whether I want to “out” that information or not.

As of October 2013, all healthcare workers in Los Angeles County must be vaccinated against influenza or wear a protective mask any time they might have contact with patients or stray into patient care areas. This is an order that came down by fiat from Dr. Jonathan Fielding, the Director of the LA County Department of Public Health, and now applies in LA County to every hospital and care facility.

In other southern California counties, healthcare personnel may still decide whether the risks of the flu vaccine outweigh the potential benefits, and keep that decision to themselves with the same right to medical privacy that everyone else has. But in LA County, you either get the vaccine or wear a mask, even if you’re perfectly healthy and haven’t got the slightest symptom of the flu. Because that’s what Dr. Fielding has ordered.

Let me point out the obvious flaws in this system. If I should become ill with a strain of influenza that hasn’t been covered by this year’s vaccine, since I’ve been vaccinated I don’t have to wear a mask though I could be quite contagious for at least a day before I develop overt symptoms. No hospital (to my knowledge) is requiring patients’ visitors and families to provide evidence of flu vaccination or wear masks, though they go in and out of patient care areas at will. If we are really to be logical and scientific about flu transmission, either we all should wear masks or none of us should bother.

Cancer Patients Die as FDA Restricts Dr. Burzynski's Treatment

In this article, you can watch a video (less than 4 minutes) to see the story of Dustin Kunnari, who was diagnosed with a stage 5 brain tumor at age 2. The doctors told his parents that when they began radiation treatment, if their son survived, he would be a vegetable because he was less than 3 years old.

The parents said “No thanks” to the standard medical protocol and asked for the boy’s records. The doctors informed them that they had more authority over their child than the parents did, and a legal battle followed. The parents persisted, however, and brought their child to Dr. Burzynski in Houston Texas, where the boy was totally cured.

Unfortunately, the FDA has relentlessly attacked Dr. Burzyinski, and now people are dying because they are not allowed to receive this potentially life-saving treatment like Dustin did, who is still alive today, years later.

Teenage Daughter Cured of Mono with Coconut Oil in less than 1 Week

Why is the CDC Ignoring Explosion of Recorded HPV Vaccine Injuries, as Other Countries Move to Take Protective Action?

Last month (December 2013), Katie Couric’s popular daytime television show aired an episode on “The HPV Controversy.” Both sides of the controversy were represented, but the show was widely criticized in the mainstream media for simply suggesting there was a controversy. Vaccine damaged families were interviewed (watch the interviews here), but according to the medical community, Gardasil and the HPV vaccine are completely safe.

So Katie Couric issued what was basically an apology and then aired a follow-up show which featured the one-sided standard government position, with an interview of Dr. Anne Schuchat, Assistant Surgeon General and Director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.

Dressed in military attire, the whole interview was basically an appeal to authority: Trust us, we are the authorities, and we know what’s best.

Norma Erickson is the director of SaneVax, the leading website on the Internet highlighting the dangers of the HPV vaccine. She was present with Katie Couric at the first show airing both sides, but no one representing the victims of the vaccine were present for the airing of the second show. She offers her rebuttal below, giving facts and hard science in reply to the spin piece by the government doctor, who is obviously trying to do “damage control,” which was aired on the most recent Couric show.

The U.S. government holds patents on Gardasil and also earns royalties from the sale of the vaccine.

People injured or killed by the Gardasil vaccine cannot sue Merck, as all vaccine manufacturers have legal immunity from lawsuits in the U.S.

More than 10 young women have recently sued Sanofi, the distributor of Gardasil in France, for damages due to the vaccine, including lupus, Guillain-Barré, ADEM, idiopathic hypersomnia, and multiple sclerosis.

Japan halted recommendations for the HPV vaccine and has begun a full scale probe over its safety, due to the large amount of serious adverse reactions reported.

Mentally Challenged Teen Killed by Police in Front of Parents

“My word that I want to get out to every family who has a mentally ill patient: do NOT call the police department for help, because your son will probably get shot and killed, just like mine did.”

These are the words of the mother of 18 year old Keith Vidal, who was shot and killed by police when they responded to a call from the family for help with their schizophrenic son in Boiling Spring Lakes North Carolina. The mother and other family members addressed the media after the Southport Police Department held a press conference, where the family reportedly was not invited.

According to the family’s report, as can be heard directly in the video below, their son was upset and had a small screw driver in his hand, which they could not get away. He was not threatening anybody with it, but they could not get it away from him. They were afraid he was going to hurt himself. A call was put in to the police to help them get the screw driver away from the boy. The boy only weighed 90 lbs. The boy was tasered first. Then two officers were holding the youth down with the father nearby, when a third police reportedly walked in, about 15 minutes after the first two policemen had arrived and were already dealing with the situation, and within 10 seconds reportedly stated “We don’t have time for this” and then drew his gun and shot the boy who was between the other two policeman.

The father jumped up and threw him back, and the policeman reportedly drew his gun again, and the father states he was afraid that he was going to be shot next: “I thought he was going to shoot me.”

The last report issued in 2013 by the Department of Justice (Vaccine Court), for compensation made by the Health and Human Services for people injured or killed by vaccines, was released in December 2013, covering the period of 8/16/2013 through 11/15/2013.

There were 139 claims settled during this time period, with 70 of them being compensated. So, just over 50% of the claims filed for vaccine damages were compensated during this period.

Once again, the greatest percentage of damages compensated were for the influenza vaccine, and most of those were for Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS). Yet these facts, tucked away in a file on the Department of Health and Human Services website, are never reported in the mainstream media. So we will report them here.

Nurses Across the U.S. are Taking a Stand Against Forced Flu Vaccines

As 2014 begins to unfold, it is becoming clear that the medical care industry is facing a crisis.

We have already reported about how many doctors are refusing to participate in the new Obamacare health insurance exchanges. But another unintended consequence of new medical care legislation is the refusal of nurses to comply with new mandatory flu vaccination requirements. With a nation-wide shortage in nurses already problematic long before Obamacare was implemented, things are only going to get worse.

Nurses across the United States are choosing to lose their jobs rather than submit to forced mandatory flu vaccinations. This began last flu season, in 2012, and we reported many stories of brave nurses standing up for their rights and refusing to submit to mandatory flu vaccinations as a requirement to keeping their jobs.

Unfortunately, many of our nation’s best nurses were already lost at the beginning of the 2012-2013 flu season as new mandates in Obamacare kicked in, requiring medical care facilities to have a 90% compliance to the flu vaccine as a requirement to receive full reimbursements for Medicare and Medicaid.

The trend towards losing nurses over the mandatory flu vaccine has continued this flu season, in 2013-2014. For example, Dreonna Breton, a registered nurse in Pennsylvania, lost her job recently due to refusing the vaccine on medical grounds. She is pregnant, and has a history of miscarriages. Her doctor advised her NOT to get the flu vaccine, but her hospital refused her exemption and fired her.

For those nurses who are granted exemptions to avoid the flu vaccine, they are forced to wear masks while at work, for the entire flu season. Since studies show that even those who are vaccinated can still pass on the influenza virus, and since the requirement to vaccinate 90% of medical care workers with the flu vaccine is a financial consideration for getting the full federal funds available for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, this requirement to single out those refusing vaccines is a clear case of discrimination and harassment.

Nurses across the country are gathering together on the Internet, such as the Nurses Against Mandatory Vaccines Facebook Page, and proudly displaying their masks as badges of honor in not giving in to intimidation and medical tyranny. They are some of the few honorable people left in the corrupt medical system.

American Woman Sues Border Agents after Alleged Sexual Assault and Forced Medical Treatments when Re-entering U.S.

In 2013 we published too many stories about forced medical treatment by coercion. For example, we published the story regarding John Wrana, the WWII veteran who just before his 96th birthday was tasered and shot with bean bag rounds in his managed care facility, which resulted in his death, simply for refusing to go to a hospital for a urinary tract infection. The investigation regarding his death is still pending and we expect to publish an update here in 2014.

We saw other stories where children were taken away from their parents and forced to receive medical treatment against the wishes of their parents, including one teenage daughter who has been held by Boston Children’s Hospital for over ten months and has still not been released.

In this news report from KOB Channel 4 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, an American woman, who was returning to the United States from Mexico, was allegedly sexually assaulted and forced to have medical treatments against her consent, simply because a dog supposedly indicated she may have illegal drugs in her body somewhere. She was stripped and searched. When they did not find anything, she was forced to have X-rays and a CT Scan which turned up negative. She was billed $5,000.00 for the forced medical treatments. She was also allegedly subjected to a “cavity search” several times, all without a warrant and without her consent. The ACLU has taken up her case and filed charges for unlawful search and sexual harassment.

BMJ: Escalating Criminal Behavior by Pharmaceutical Companies due to Insufficient Penalties

This editorial written and published in the British Medical Journal does a good job of explaining why criminal settlements against pharmaceutical companies do NOT stop criminal behavior in the pharmaceutical industry.

20% of all corporate crime is now committed by pharmaceutical companies, and those are just the cases that are litigated and settled. The problem with corruption in scientific studies that are used to approve drugs do not even come up in litigation.

As Sidney M Wolfe points out in this article published last month in the British Medical Journal, the fines and penalties levied against corporations are just to0 small, and they are simply considered as part of the “cost of doing business” which lead to higher drug prices passed on to the consumers.

Gardasil: My Daughter’s Worst Nightmare

Cancer is a frightening word. Any parent in the world would do whatever was in their power to protect their child from this terrible disease. I had no idea adding Gardasil to our list of protective measures would turn our lives into a nightmare. My beautiful 12 year old daughter, Allie, was a victim of Gardasil and I believe that had she been given the 3rd Gardasil shot, it would have killed her as she barely survived the 2nd shot.

The authorities will not acknowledge this as yet, but someday they will, and until then I will be the advocate for my child. I will decide what medications she needs and what vaccinations she needs or does not need. I will do the research and investigate the adverse effects of all drugs.
