Now, top Swiss researchers, led by Dr. Uffe Ravnskov, have urged the National Cholesterol Education Program, the National Institutes of Health, and the American Heart Association in the United States to follow their lead, and reverse years of dangerous and harmful dietary advice that has led to an increase in the consumption of refined carbohydrates and Omega 6 polyunsaturated fats in place of saturated fats. They have published their comments in the April 2014 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings.

The revolving doors between academia, government, and industry have effectively led to a situation where it’s now extremely difficult, if not impossible, to trust conventional health advice, even if it comes from supposedly reputable institutions. Big Pharma Hiding Dangers of Cholesterol-lowering Statin Drugs

Are statin drugs the biggest fraud in the history of medicine? Consider the evidence:

And now, in both the USA and the UK, doctors are being encouraged to prescribe even more statin drugs. Fortunately, many doctors are now stepping forward and speaking out against this biggest medical fraud of all time.

Alzheimer's Deaths Vastly Under-reported: Actually 3rd Leading Cause of Death

This week, a study published in the journal Neurology stated that the number of deaths attributed to Alzheimer’s Disease is vastly under-reported. One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia, according to Bryan James Ph. D., a researcher at Rush University Medical Center.

The new study indicates that Alzheimer’s disease may be one of the leading causes of death in the United States. The study reports that Alzheimer’ may be an underlying cause of five to six times as many deaths as currently reported.

“The numbers that we estimate from this study, about half a million deaths from Alzheimer’s disease a year, would put it right behind heart disease and cancer,” said Dr. James.

As we reported earlier this year, Big Pharma has a terrible track record in producing Alzheimer’s drugs. Many drugs have been abandoned after years of research because they were ineffective or harmful.

With this new study, however, the market for new Alzheimer’s drugs just grew by “five to six” times. The standard statement regarding Alzheimer’s Disease is that “there is no cure.” This statement simply means there are no drugs approved by the FDA to cure Alzheimer’s. One has to wonder if this study is not a pre-cursor to approving ineffective drugs for Alzheimer’s, since the market is so huge. Even Alzheimer’s vaccines are currently in development.

There is plenty of research, however, showing that Alzheimer’s is a form of diabetes, and is now referred to as a type 3 diabetes. Like type 2 diabetes, there are lifestyle and dietary actions that can be taken to prevent, and even reverse, Alzheimer’s Disease. Gardasil: My Family Suffers with Me

My husband and I have three young children. Before Gardasil, we were a very active family and did a lot of different things with our children – we had fun. I personally have always walked a lot, up to 15-20 km a day, as well as cycling about 20 km a day in my job as a social and health careworker. Deputy Chairman of British Medical Association Condemns Statins

What is one way to get doctors to wake up to the dangers of the drugs they prescribe? Put them on the same drugs!

Apparently, this simple technique has worked in the U.K, as leading doctors speaking out against the dangers of statin drugs now include Dr. Kailash Chand, deputy chairman of the British Medical Association. What has caused Dr. Chand to sound the alarm? The Daily Express reports that he has suffered “awful” muscle pains while taking statins, and claims that plans to prescribe them to millions more adults will “only benefit drug companies”.

Dr Chand warned that giving the drugs to low-risk patients was “a commercialisation device” and not in their interests. Many experts say it is unnecessary to “medicalise” a problem which could be controlled with simple dietary changes, pointing to a study showing that eating an apple a day cuts cholesterol levels as effectively as taking statins.

Dr Kendrick, who has written a book called The Great Cholesterol Con, said: “I can stop people dying from heart disease by pushing them off the edge of a cliff. They might not like the end result.”

Big Pharma Tries to Discredit Documents Hidden By CDC Linking Vaccines to Autism

On February 21, 2013, we published the press release from A Shot of Truth which announced that after nearly 10 years of trying to obtain documents from the CDC through over 100 Freedom of Information Acts (FOIAs), that Dr. Brian Hooker had finally obtained documents showing that the CDC had been hiding data linking the mercury in vaccines to autism.

This story has gone viral on the Internet, receiving a lot of attention, as can be expected given the fact that the CDC now admits that one in every 50 children in the U.S. are now diagnosed with autism.

This news is obviously seen as a threat to the multi-billion dollar vaccine empire.

Internet Trolls May be Trained Government Agents According to Leaked Document

Glenn Greenwald, a journalist, constitutional lawyer, commentator, and author of three New York Times best-selling books on politics and law, has been working with NBC News the past few weeks publishing a series of articles on how covert government agents infiltrate the Internet to “manipulate, deceive, and destroy reputations.”

The information is based on documents leaked by National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden. Greenwald’s article, How Covert Agents Infiltrate the Internet to Manipulate, Deceive, and Destroy Reputations, is based on four classified documents produced by the British spy agency GCHQ, and presented to the NSA and three other English speaking agencies reportedly part of “The Five Eyes Alliance.”

In this shocking piece, Greenwald publishes a copy of a spy training manual used entitled: “The Art of Deception: Training for Online Covert Operations.” Greenwald writes that agencies like the NSA are “attempting to control, infiltrate, manipulate, and warp online discourse, and in doing so, are compromising the integrity of the internet itself.”

FDA Starts to Take Control of American Organic Farms

My book is called ‘Thoughts of Yesterday.’ The reason I gave my book this title is because when Mammy was at her worst with Alzheimer’s, she could still remember her first day at school, but her thoughts of yesterday were gone. The mother of Justina Pelletier, the 15 year old girl who was seized by Boston Children’s Hospital and held for over a year, reportedly collapsed in court Monday when she learned the judge was placing her daughter in foster care.

Lou Pelletier, the father of Justina, had made a round of news and talk show appearances the previous week, telling the story of their daughter which has garnered national media attention. There were high hopes that they might see some positive results from this case that has been going on for over a year, but their daughter was not returned to them this time either. She will reportedly be transferred to a foster home until the next court appearance later in March.

Abandoning Traditional Fats for Processed Vegetable Oils Has Led to Declining Health

2014 Farm Bill & the Legalization of Hemp

Editor of Millennial Magazine, Britt Hysen, discusses the 2014 Farm Bill and the legalization of hemp as an agricultural commodity. Hemp is the sterile version of marijuana, and is sold legally in the U.S., but is illegal to grow. The 2014 Farm Bill removed some restrictions for research, but it stopped short of actually legalizing it.

One week after the Farm Bill passed, Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky introduced legislation to allow American farmers to cultivate and profit from industrial hemp.

The Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2013 would remove federal restrictions on the domestic cultivation of industrial hemp. Specifically, the bill would remove hemp from the Schedule I controlled substance list under the Controlled Substances Act of 1970, and would define it as a non-drug so long as it contained less than 0.3 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Prior to World War II, Kentucky provided 94 percent of the nation’s industrial hemp. Today the U.S. is the world’s largest consumer of hemp, but it remains the only major industrialized country that bans farming the product. U.S. imports have consistently grown over the past decade – increasing by 300 percent over that period.

Mathematical Proof vs. Scientific Proof: Are They the Same?

Absolute proof is strictly the domain of logicians. In mathematics, for example, once a theorem is proven it is proven for all time and all circumstances. Mathematical proof is absolute. Mathematics, however, is not science. This is a point about which many are confused. Mathematics is a language used by science, but is not itself a science. Mathematical proof and scientific proof are not the same thing at all.

Scientific proof is not really proof at all, in the mathematical sense, but is either verification or disproof. Since scientists deal with a universe that is not of their own creation, they cannot prove their laws absolutely as can mathematicians. Although scientists use the term “scientific proof,” what they really mean is that a particular hypothesis has been verified or disproved. They don’t mean “proof” in the mathematical sense.

CDC Caught Hiding Data Showing Mercury in Vaccines Linked to Autism

In a press release issued last year, one that almost no mainstream media sources have bothered to report, it was announced that Dr. Brian Hooker had finally received documents from the CDC through a Freedom of Information Act that revealed the CDC had access to data linking Thimerosal in vaccines to autism, non-organic sleep disorders, and speech disorders.

Two members of Congress helped Dr. Hooker draft his letter to the CDC, after having spent nearly 10 years submitting over 100 Freedom of Information Acts to no avail.

This information was completely blacked out of the mainstream media.

This information is very damaging to the CDC, which has stated for years that there are no studies linking the mercury of Thimerosal in vaccines to autism. You can watch for yourself the most recent testimony given by the CDC in the November 2012 Congressional Hearing on Autism. Thimerosal is still used today in the flu shot that is administered to pregnant women and infants.

The mainstream media’s official position regarding vaccines and autism has been that it has been “proven that there is no link”, and Dr. Andrew Wakefield is used as the standard scapegoat being presented as a “disgraced doctor” who supposedly got caught fabricating his study. Of course, Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s study has been replicated in at least 28 other studies, and no case has ever been won against Dr. Wakefield in a court of law. Litigation is still pending, and one of the doctors who was a co-author in the study has been completely exonerated in the U.K.

Yet, the man who supposedly conducted studies for the CDC proving that vaccines do not cause autism, is a wanted criminal for stealing millions of dollars from the CDC, and is still on the run from the law. But that story is seldom, if ever, reported in the mainstream media.

Students at Fordham University Experiencing Mumps Outbreak Even though They were Vaccinated Against It

WABC in New York is reporting that there is an outbreak of mumps among students at Fordham University. Ten students have been diagnosed with the virus.

As you watch the report in this article, you will learn that all those affected had received the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine, as it is required for all students.

The reporter makes this statement about the MMR vaccine: “It’s important to know that it’s (the vaccine) the best we have, but it is not perfect.”

This is not the first time that the MMR vaccine has been shown to be ineffective. In past outbreaks, however, the unvaccinated were always blamed.

Given the 100% vaccination rate at this university, I wonder how they will get away with blaming the unvaccinated this time?

The MMR vaccine is also controversial as there are over 28 studies linking it to autism.

Researchers Establish Benefits of High-dose Vitamin C for Ovarian Cancer Patients

Few things infuriate the medical community more than the health claims for simple vitamin C. The fact that simple vitamin C is as effective or more effective than drugs is information they fight hard against, not wanting the public to know or believe.

The FDA goes after companies or doctors who make health claims for vitamin C, and doctors can lose their license if they use vitamin C openly in their practice. According to the FDA, vitamin C is not approved as a drug, and therefore it is risky to use it professionally to cure anyone.

This is in spite of the fact that there are well over 200 diseases that vitamin C is effective in treating, which have been documented through research, including such distinguished scientists such as Linus Pauling who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1954.

So when another study is published from a major university in the United States on vitamin C, this time in its use for ovarian cancer patients, you can be sure it will cause a lot of contention in the medical field. We probably have Dr. Jeanne Drisko, M.D., director of the Integrative Medicine program at the University of Kansas to thank for getting this study published.

Loophole in the Regulation of GMOs Allows Scotts Company to Commercialize Unregulated and Unapproved GM Kentucky Bluegrass

In July 2011, the USDA gave GMOs a regulatory hall pass. The agency determined that, thanks to a tiny technical loophole, they had no oversight over GMO Kentucky bluegrass. This meant that the grass—and any GMOs created via the same GMO technique—could be planted anywhere, at anytime, with zero government oversight.

Late last month, Scott’s Miracle-Gro quietly announced that their employees will “test” the Roundup-resistant GMO grass by planting it in their home lawns in Marysville, Ohio. Scott’s hopes to have thousands more consumers planting their GMO grass by 2016—and thanks to the USDA, there’s no framework in place to keep this from happening.

Alarmingly, if your neighbor plants GMO grass, your lawn may become full GMOs, too. Cross-contamination of non-GMO crops is already a reality. Pollen can travel anywhere from the length of three football fields to thousands of miles away. Given this, and the fact there’s little to no space between suburban lawns—it’s completely unrealistic to assume GMO grass will stay where it’s planted.

Study: Taking Your Child to a Pediatrician Increases Flu Risk - Doctors are a Health Risk for Children

A new study published in the March issue of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology shows that routine well-child visits to pediatricians actually increase a child’s chance for catching the flu within two weeks.

This confirms what many parents have already discovered, that well-child visits are counterproductive, and usually a primary method of distributing vaccines.

Renowned pediatrician Dr. Robert Mendelsohn wrote about this phenomenon years ago in his best-selling book, How to Raise a Healthy Child In Spite of Your Doctor. He has a whole chapter devoted to this topic: How Doctors Can Make Healthy Kids Sick.

The study conducted by researchers at the University of Iowa was based on a large data sampling of over 84,000 families. They concluded that well-child doctor appointments for annual exams and vaccinations carry a risk that translates to more than 700,000 avoidable cases of flu-like illnesses each year.

Dr. Lisa Saiman wrote in the commentary that the true effects are quite likely much larger, since the study only looked at actual records visits to doctors or hospitals, and therefore would not include those who got the flu but never went in for a doctor exam. So the well-child visit could easily be causing over 1 million cases of the flu each year.

The only statement made by the lead author, Dr. Phil Polgreen, that seemed to have no corresponding data referenced, was this statement: “Well child visits are critically important.”

Important for whom? The financial health of the medical system and its sales of childhood vaccines?

Whooping Cough Outbreaks Among Vaccinated Older Children Increasing

Health officials in California are becoming worried at the number of older kids who are coming down with whooping cough. Most of these are children who have received 5 vaccines for pertussis between the ages of 2 months and 7 years. The vaccine clearly doesn’t work: “The effects of the vaccine does not seem to last as long as we had hoped,” said Jonathan Fielding, director of the L.A. County public health department. “There is a lot of work going on to understand why it is waning.”

And for the first time, they are admitting the fault is the vaccine, and not the small percentage of unvaccinated children: “Of the pertussis cases in Los Angeles County, 8 percent were individuals who had never been vaccinated. Experts say the number is not a significant factor in the spread of pertussis.”

Yet, the media continues to blame unvaccinated children. Why is this failed vaccine still in the childhood vaccine schedule??

One in six American service members is on at least one psychiatric drug and between 2005-2011, the U.S. Department of Defense increased their prescription of psychiatric drugs by nearly seven times. That’s more than thirty times faster than the civilian rate. Last year, more service members died by suicide than in combat and 22 veterans are killing themselves every day.

Both of the award recipients are intimately familiar with the devastating rate of drugging going on in the military under the guise of “treatment.”

FAIL: Another Mammography Study Finds They Don't Save Lives

But now, adding to the growing awareness that mammograms don’t make sense, a groundbreaking new study published in the British Medical Journal reveals regular mammogram screenings do not reduce breast cancer death rates – the only true measure of whether they benefit women who undergo them. Moreover, the study found that women in the mammography arm were more likely to be ‘overdiagnosed’ (a euphemism for misdiagnosed) with breast cancer that wasn’t there.

Many bacteria are developing cross resistance; a situation where a bacteria becomes resistant to multiple drugs, making them virtually impossible to eradicate once they infect you.

Oregon Farmer Wins Case Challenging Raw Milk Advertising Ban

The Oregon Department of Agriculture today agreed to stop enforcing that state’s ban on the advertisement of raw—or unpasteurized—milk. This comes in response to a Nov. 2013 federal lawsuit filed by Christine Anderson, owner of Cast Iron Farms in McMinnville, Ore.

Until today, it was illegal for farmers like Christine to advertise that they sell raw milk, a perfectly legal product. This meant that Christine was banned from posting flyers at local stores, advertising sales online or via email, or displaying a roadside sign at the farm saying “WE SELL RAW MILK.” Christine was even ordered in 2012 to take down prices for her milk from the Cast Iron Farm website. If she did advertise her raw milk, she faced $6,250 in fines and civil penalties as high as $10,000—plus a year in jail.

Fighting Forced Vaccination in America in 2014: 58 Bills in 24 States Threatening Right to Refuse Vaccines

Big Pharma’s vaccine products are a huge failure. But since the Pharmaceutical industry is one of the largest sponsors of the dying mainstream media, and since they also have more lobbyists than any other industry influencing U.S. government policy, they continue to grow their market. Consider the vaccine market today in America:

1. U.S. law protects vaccine manufacturers from any liability due to faulty vaccines, or damages and deaths caused by them. So many people were suffering or even dying from vaccine injuries in the 1980s, that Big Pharma basically blackmailed Congress by threatening to stop manufacturing vaccines if legislation was not passed to protect them from lawsuits. So now vaccine pushers have a blank check to put as many vaccines into the market, regardless of the consequences.

2. Research to develop new vaccines is largely funded by tax-payer dollars. The NIH and probably other government agencies hold patents and earn royalties on vaccines.

3. The largest purchaser of vaccines is the government, both the U.S. government and the United Nations through UNICEF which distributes vaccines free of charge around the world.

What a great business to be in! You don’t need consumers to be on board and be willing to purchase the products – the government hands you a turn-key multi-billion dollar market. It also doesn’t matter if the vaccines don’t work, such as the failed pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine. No problem. Keep selling them until they can develop a new one to replace it. It’s a risk-free lucrative market!

But they’re not satisfied. If you read the market reports for the pharmaceutical industry, they are not happy about blockbuster drugs having their patents run out and allowing cheap generics to enter to the market, like what happened with the popular drug Lipitor.

So vaccines are seen as the key market area for growth, as we recently reported regarding new cancer vaccines that are in the pipeline.

There is one massive problem standing in their way, however, threatening their march forward and potential complete market dominance: parental choice and anti-vaccine parents (a growing segment of the population).

But they have a strategy for that too: pass legislation at the state level to remove parental choice. The only way they can really increase their market among children is through forced vaccination, against the will of parents.

So here is the National Vaccine Information Center to update us all on 58 bills in 24 states. If you don’t act, you may soon lose your ability to choose to refuse vaccines.

5 Families Sue Big Pharma in France for Vaccine Damages to Children

Here is a story that originates from the French media about 5 families with vaccine-damaged children suing the drug manufacturers for vaccine damages.

The parents of the five families who contend that vaccines caused their children’s disabilities have joined forces to take GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and Sanofi to court in hopes that the courts will acknowledge the side effects of vaccines and award compensation to their disabled children.

You will not, of course, ever read a story like this in the U.S. mainstream press for the simple reason that families cannot sue drug manufacturers for damages due to vaccines – it is against the law. There were so many lawsuits due to vaccine damages and deaths in the 1980s, that Big Pharma blackmailed Congress by threatening to get out of the vaccine business (which is exactly what should have happened if there were truly a free market in the U.S. where failed products and companies were allowed to fail) unless they were given legal protection from ALL lawsuits.

So Congress gave Big Pharma total legal immunity to any harm due to vaccines back in 1986, and the U.S. Supreme Court upheld that law in 2011. Instead, the U.S. law has set up a special “vaccine court” funded by taxes consumers pay on the vaccines. The U.S. Government has attorneys that fight on behalf of the government not to pay damages for vaccine injuries and death. But they have paid out millions of dollars in damages nevertheless, even though the mainstream media seldom reports this.

IRS Seeks to Limit Free Speech

The IRS has no business in politics or interfering with free speech. Recently, the Alliance for Natural Health told us about newly proposed IRS rules that would dictate what they are allowed to tell their readers and what they cannot. To give an example, they would be forced to remove every single reference to a candidate’s connection to any legislation from their website sixty days before an election—giving incumbents a free pass to introduce legislation with almost no public scrutiny. If this stands, Senator Durbin would be allowed to introduce an anti-supplement bill knowing that the Alliance for Natural Health (and other organizations) could not link him to it in print.

Now is the time to tell the IRS to rescind this political gag order and protect the right of political dissenters and organizations that represent individuals like you!

Monarch Butterfly Numbers Drop to Lowest Level Since Records Started - GMO Crops Blamed

The monarch butterfly — an orange and black icon that is Minnesota’s state insect — is facing dire population declines that have resulted in the smallest wintertime habitat since surveys began in 1993, an international team of conservation scientists warned Wednesday.

This year, conservationists say the area where the butterflies winter in Mexico was reduced by 44 percent, to just 1.7 acres.

Karen Oberhauser, a University of Minnesota entomologist who’s spent 30 years studying the butterflies, says the expansion of genetically modified crops in the Corn Belt is the primary culprit behind precipitous monarch declines over the past three years. These crops allow farmers to use herbicides later in the growth cycle, which has led to vast reductions in native milkweed and nectar plants that the butterflies rely on during the breeding cycle.

The monarch’s decline may be an indicator of larger ecological problems, she said.

“What is happening to monarchs is also happening to many other uncounted organisms — organisms whose loss would be equally tragic,” Oberhauser said.
