Texas “Free Enterprise” Raw Milk Bill Scheduled for Vote

Texas lawmakers will have the opportunity to make it easier for consumers to buy raw milk on Thursday (May 7, 2015), when House Bill 91 is scheduled to come up for a vote on the floor of the House.

The bill, which was approved by the Public Health Committee, will loosen the current regulations that only allow raw milk to be sold on the farm by allowing dairy farmers to sell raw milk at farmers’ markets and to make delivery arrangements with their customers.

“Currently, Texans have to travel to a licensed dairy to buy raw milk,” explained Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance Executive Director Judith McGeary. “This bill reduces costs and hassle for consumers, while allowing farmers a fair opportunity to market their products,” she continued.

Texas State Rep. Dan Flynn(R-Canton), the bill’s sponsor, has called it a “free-enterprise” bill. “If you have a legal product, it seems like you should be able to sell it at a farmers’ market,” Flynn told committee members at a hearing on April 21.

European Parliament Addresses the Gardasil Scandal in Europe

What is the justification for using HPV vaccines? What is the benefit/risk profile? What place do HPV vaccines have in the cervical cancer prevention strategy, and at what cost? Texas CPS Kidnaps 19-month Old Child for “Failure to Thrive"

The Giwa’s are not the kind of parents who come to mind when you think Child Protective Services.

“They’re well educated they are hardworking people the mom actually has a PHD in special education dad works for an energy company here in Houston” says attorney Jon Parchman.

The couple says they know their 19-month-old son is not developing like he should but say they’ve never gotten a medical reason for his developmental delays and say they’ve never denied him medical treatment.

In court documents CPS admits the reason for the boy’s developmental delays are not known but still that state agency is accusing the parents of medical neglect.

As for the medical neglect the attorney says CPS’s only witness in court was a doctor who never saw the boy or talked to the parents.

“The most they really got was the hospital room was a little dirty that was the extent of what they proved in court,” Parchman says. “The judge said so you’ve proven there’s a dirty hospital room that doesn’t get us to danger in returning the child home.”

Still the judge ruled in CPS’s favor granting them temporary custody and only allowing the parents to see their son for one hour twice a week. “It’s horrible he’s never been without us he’s my baby the entire family is a mess because of it we can’t function,” Giwa said.

Cancer Drugs Reach All-Time High: The $100 Billion Disease that Depends on No Cure

The 2014 sales figures for cancer drugs were just published by the IMS Institute for Healthcare Informatics. Sales of cancer drugs have hit a new all-time record: $100 billion. That’s up more than 10 percent from 2013, and up from $75 billion five years earlier.

Cancer is obviously big business, as many new cancer drugs and now even cancer vaccines are in the pipe line.

Forty-five new drugs for cancer hit the market between 2010 and 2014, including 10 last year alone. These new drugs come with steep price tags, usually over $12,000.00 per month, or well over $100,000.00 per year.

Cancer is much too big of a business now to allow anyone to cure it.

Whistleblowers Reveal CPS Child Kidnappings in Kentucky Adoption Business

Investigative reporter John Boel has exposed much of the corruption taking place in the “child protection” system in Kentucky. His reports were broadcast in the local media, and include some amazing interviews with former CPS whistleblowers, documenting the depth of the alleged corruption within Kentucky CPS.

In a report aired originally on WLKY Target 32 News, news anchors begin the story by explaining that the station had to go to court just to get permission to air their investigative report, because the State of Kentucky attempted to censor their report from the public.

Reporter John Boel states that they were “being swamped with complaints” against CPS in Kentucky. He explains that his report gives an “in-depth look” into Kentucky CPS which exemplifies what they were hearing from so many other families who were coming to them.

Boel reports that children are often removed quickly with no evidence of parental wrong-doing, and that the State retaliates against those who try to fight back.

Campaign Against Glyphosate Steps Up in Latin America

After the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared glyphosate a probable carcinogen, the campaign has intensified in Latin America to ban the herbicide, which is employed on a massive scale on transgenic crops.

It is used not only on transgenic crops but also on vegetables, tobacco, fruit trees and plantation forests of pine or eucalyptus, as well as in urban gardens and flowerbeds and along railways.

Stédile, who is also a member of the international small farmers movement Vía Campesina, hopes this region and Europe will ban its use in agriculture, as Mexico, Russia and the Netherlands have done.

As an alternative, he proposed “agroecological production that combines scientific know-how with the age-old knowledge of peasant farmers, to develop crops without the use of poisons, suited to each ecosystem.” That methodology has increased “the productivity of the soil and labour, better than practices that use poisons,” he said.

Special Needs Sisters Kidnapped From Homeschooling Family

Merck's Sales Soar on Measles Vaccine After Disney Outbreak

Bloomberg announced this week that Merck’s MMR vaccine sales more than quadrupled after the California Disney measles outbreak.

Of course, there is no single measles vaccine currently on the market, and one has to purchase the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine which is a 3 in 1 combo vaccine. Merck has been involved in a long federal lawsuit with allegations of fraud over the mumps portion of the MMR vaccine, in a case filed back in 2010 by two whistleblowers, virologists who worked for Merck.

There is also evidence that the MMR vaccine is killing more people than the measles virus, as there have been no deaths associated with measles according to the CDC, while there have been 108 deaths reported after the measles vaccine in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

In addition, reports show that between 50% and 86% of those who came down with measles in the Disney outbreak were actually already vaccinated.

None of that matters to Merck, obviously, as sales of the measles vaccine grew by over 24% during the first quarter of 2015.

Gardasil: When Will our Nightmare End?

My daughter, Abbey, was a healthy happy 13 year old when she started secondary school. On the 22nd September 2014 she received her Gardasil vaccine along with the Tdap vaccine in school. She had an adverse reaction straight away. For over an hour, she was left lying on a mat on the floor while the rest of the girls were being vaccinated.

During this time she had seizure-like jerking, rolling eyes, blurred vision, headache, nausea etc. Eventually after an hour and twenty minutes we were called to the school to pick her up. No ambulance was called. The school administrators were not informed this episode had happened until the next day.

When I arrived at the school and asked why an ambulance wasn’t called, I was told I was OVERREACTING and this would wear off.

The next day, her mother and I thought Abbey was suffering withdrawals. Little did we know our nightmare was only getting started.

Monsanto sued in Los Angeles County for False Advertising on Glyphosate Claim

On April 21, 2015 a class action lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County, California against the Monsanto corporation. The suit alleges that Monsanto is guilty of false advertising by claiming that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, targets an enzyme only found in plants and not in humans or animals. Monsanto makes this claim to support the contention that glyphosate is harmless to humans.

In the lawsuit, the argument is made that the targeted enzyme, EPSP synthase, is found in the microbiota which reside in our intestines and therefore this enzyme is found in humans and animals. It is further stated in the lawsuit that there are many human and animal health problems associated with the disruption of our intestinal microbes.

Residents of California can become members of the class in this action.

TV2 Denmark Documentary on HPV Vaccine Shows Lives of Young Women Ruined

TV2 Denmark has done something no mainstream media network in the United States will dare to do: look into the controversial HPV vaccine that many have claimed has ruined the lives of so many young women, and publish an investigative report.

In December of 2013 Katie Couric did a show on the HPV Gardasil Vaccine where she dared to interview the mother of a young woman who died shortly after receiving the vaccine. Couric’s program was hardly pro-vaccine, as she gave both sides of the controversy, with a huge emphasis on the pharmaceutical side claiming the vaccine was safe, but she was viciously attacked by the mainstream media anyway and forced to apologize for even asking questions about the possible risks of the HPV vaccine.

California Orange County CPS Sued for Kidnapping More than 5,000 Children

Attorney Shawn McMillan is continuing his fight against the corrupt Child and Protective Services in California, and has now filed a class action lawsuit against Orange County California for allegedly seizing more 5000 children in State-sponsored kidnappings.

This follows his December 2014 class action lawsuit against CPS in Riverside County in California, which is also accused of kidnapping “thousands” of children without cause.

Dr. Oz Strikes Back at Corporate-sponsored Doctors Tied to GMO Industry

Food And Chemical Companies Spent $63.6 Million In 2014 To Defeat GMO Labeling

Food and biotechnology companies spent $63.6 million in 2014 alone to oppose mandatory labeling of genetically modified food ingredients, or GMOs, according to a new analysis by EWG.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association, for example, disclosed $5.8 million in lobbying expenditures around GMO labeling in 2014, “up sharply from $60,000 in 2013,” according to the analysis. PepsiCo nearly doubled the amount it spent, dedicating more than $4 million to the anti-labeling effort in 2014, up from 2.6 million in 2013. Other iconic companies that spent big in 2014 to deny consumers the right to know if their foods contain GMOs include Kellogg ($2.1 million), General Mills ($2.6 million) and Coca-Cola, which put up more than $9 million – the most of any food company, according to the report.

Has California Sold Out to Big Pharma to Lead the Nation in Medical Tyranny?

Dr. Richard Pan of California is the author of one of the most tyrannical bills currently being proposed in the U.S. to take away the right to informed consent for a medical procedure. SB277 is a proposed California bill that would remove all personal belief exemptions to vaccines and prevent children from attending school unless they are fully vaccinated.

A hearing on SB277 was held at the State Capital on April 15, 2015. The support was overwhelming opposed to the bill, with only 53 people present supporting the bill, and 743 present opposing it.

The Senate Education committee did not take a vote on the bill that day, as several members of the committee had reservations about it. A vote was put off until April 22nd, one week later.

At the April 22 meeting, after 13 minutes of discussion, the committee passed the bill by a vote of 7 to 2.

What happened? How could the committee pass a bill with so much opposition from their constituents?

Another Medical Kidnapping at Boston Children's Hospital: Baby Seized Over Formula Disagreement

Unable to pump enough breast milk for her prematurely born baby, the search began for an appropriate formula to feed baby Bella. Finding one that worked, they took their baby home in Alabama.

A trip back to Massachusetts, their former resident state, to gather belongings and visit family members resulted in difficulties in finding the same formula they had used in Alabama. They found one that the baby tolerated, but a visit to the local WIC office in Massachusetts put them at odds with a pediatrician who insisted on changing her formula, one that baby Bella did not do well with as her weight allegedly began to decline.

The parents decided to go back to Alabama immediately, to be with a pediatrician who was using the right formula. But Massachusetts DCF followed their case to Alabama, contacting Alabama DHR. Alabama DHR investigated the family, and cleared them after seeing how well the baby was doing.

But this was not good enough for Massachusetts DCF, which allegedly threatened the family with criminal charges if they did not return to Massachusetts. The frightened family complied, and their baby girl was put into Boston Children’s Hospital, where they soon lost custody. Now, Massachusetts DCF is planning to adopt out baby Bella.

One-Third of Seniors with Dementia Are Being Given Antipsychotics

One-third of seniors with dementia are being given antipsychotics—even though such toxic drugs are not approved to treat dementia!

A report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that nearly one-third of older adults with dementia who spent more than 100 days in a nursing home were given antipsychotics through Medicare’s prescription drug program in 2012. We previously reported that a similar situation exists with brain-damaged veterans—and even with infants and young children, especially those treated through Medicaid. They are all given these very toxic and inappropriate medications.

Why is this happening? Are Big Pharma profits more important than the health of our most vulnerable populations—seniors and young people?

Physician-Senator Continues Push to Make Oregon a Medical Police State

Oregon Senator Elizabeth Steiner Hayward is at it again. In February, Senator Hayward (who is a physician) introduced a bill to take away the right to informed consent and vaccine choice and mandate vaccines for all children statewide. The bill was vehemently opposed by her constituents in the state, and made national headlines. The bill was withdrawn as it did not have enough support in the State Legislature.

Now, she has introduced a new bill, SB895, which would require schools to publish vaccination exemption rates by disease and get parents granted exemptions in the past to either consult their doctor or watch an educational video about the decision against vaccinating. This new bill passed the Senate Education Committee this week on a 4-3 party-line vote with Democrats in favor.

Opposition from an informed constituent base that includes attorneys and physicians apparently means nothing to Dr. Elizabeth Steiner Hayward, who believes the entire state should be coerced into accepting her view, even though her first bill was overwhelmingly defeated. She’s seems absolutely determined to make Oregon into a medical police state.

How Can Homeopathy Be Both a Useless Placebo and Dangerous at the Same Time?

The FDA wrapped up a two-day hearing recently on whether or not homeopathic remedies should be regulated like drugs. Listening to critics of homeopathy try to justify why they don’t think the American public should have free access to homeopathic remedies leaves one wondering just what the real motivation is behind these criticisms.

The two dominant criticisms made against homeopathic remedies are antithetical to each other. Critics complain that due to a lack of regulation homeopathic remedies are dangerous, but then they turn around and say that homeopathic remedies are simply useless sugar pills with no therapeutic effect whatsoever, and no better than a placebo.

Both cannot be true.

Is this the new standard of scientific scrutiny that federal agencies are using to supposedly protect the public?

The FDA is clearly not concerned about homeopathic remedies because they are a danger to the public. There are no deaths associated with homeopathic remedies, and very few side effects. By contrast, FDA-approved drugs have millions of adverse side effects, including over 100,000 deaths each year.

Homeopathic remedies are a danger to the FDA’s monopoly on drugs, and so they clearly want to either eliminate the competition, or get in on the action and take over the market.

Study: Cholesterol-lowering Statin Drugs Worsen Coronary Calcium Tests

Coronary artery calcification has been found to be associated with cardiovascular events. In other words, there are more cardiovascular events when there is a higher coronary artery calcification score. The coronary calcium score can be measured with a coronary CT scan or a coronary intravascular ultrasound scan. Coronary scans are frequently ordered by cardiologists and primary care physicians. If the coronary calcium score on the CT is elevated, the doctor is most likely to prescribe a statin medication. You might think that a statin medication, if it was effective at treating and preventing heart disease, would be shown to decrease coronary calcium burden. Well, you would think wrong.

Another massively flawed study (basically routine for the HPV vaccine) will give Gardasil manufacturer, Merck & Co. the green light to once again create a vaccine awareness campaign on the pretext that it prevents mouth and throat cancers.

There are truthfully no safe vaccines, however the HPV vaccine is one of the 5 vaccines I strongly recommend to avoid. It is perhaps the one vaccine based on the most misrepresented data and unproven assumptions.

Glyphosate Is Spreading Like A Cancer Across The U.S.

American growers sprayed 280 million pounds of glyphosate on their crops in 2012, according to U.S. Geological Survey data. That amounts to nearly a pound of glyphosate for every person in the country.

The use of glyphosate on farmland has skyrocketed since the mid-1990s, when biotech companies introduced genetically engineered crop varieties (often called GMOs) that can withstand being blasted with glyphosate. Since then, agricultural use of the herbicide has increased 16-fold.

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup, Monsanto’s widely used weed killer, which according to the World Health Organization is “probably carcinogenic to humans.”

What followed was partially recorded by a home security camera, which showed Sheriff deputies repeatedly punching her, because she did not want them to remove her 18 month old son. The video has gone viral, and has been viewed over 400,000 times already.

Federal Government to Monitor Weight and Collect Data on Children in Daycare

The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that bureaucrats from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will weigh and measure children in daycare as part of a study mandated by First Lady Michelle Obama’s Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act.

Will this data be used by medical professionals as another way to medically kidnap children if they do not measure up to government standards for growth and weight, or are not eating government-approved foods?

Study: RoundUp Causes Cell Death to Human Placenta Cells at Levels Allowed in Drinking Water

Roundup is an endocrine disruptor and is toxic to human cells in vitro (tested in culture dishes in the laboratory) at levels permitted in drinking water in Australia, a recent study has found.

This is the first study to examine the effects of glyphosate and Roundup on progesterone production by human female cells in an in vitro system that models key aspects of reproduction in women.

Glyphosate alone was less toxic to human cells than glyphosate in a Roundup formulation; both glyphosate and Roundup caused chorioplacental JAr cell death which resulted in decreased progesterone levels – a form of hormone/endocrine disruption. Endocrine disruption did not precede the toxicity to cells but occurred after it. The decreases in progesterone concentrations were caused by reduced numbers of viable cells.

Texas Scientists Find Antibiotic Resistant "Super Bugs" Traveling Through the Air from Cattle Feed Lots

Phil Smith and Texas Tech University colleague Greg Mayer may have made their biggest discovery yet: DNA from antibiotic-resistant bacteria in cattle feedlots is airborne.

For years, scientists have known that humans can contract antibiotic-resistant bacteria by consuming contaminated meat or water. The findings by Smith and Mayer indicate that humans could also be exposed to so-called “super bugs” or “super bacteria” traveling through the air.

“This is the first test to open our eyes to the fact that we could be breathing these things,” said Smith, an environmental toxicologist at Texas Tech.

Maryland Couple Sues CPS Over Unlawful Seizure of Their Children

The Meitiv Family in Montgomery County Maryland is reportedly beginning litigation against Maryland CPS and possibly Montgomery County Police as well, for the unlawful seizure of their children this past weekend.

As we have seen in so many other cases we have covered here at Health Impact News, there were no criminal charges filed against the parents of Meitiv children, and the alleged “victims” of parental abuse or neglect were incarcerated by force, in a total violation of their civil rights. The children were walking home from the park when police and CPS detained them for hours, not even allowing them to call their parents.

Danielle Meitiv, the mother, has posted an article on her Facebook Page showing that the neighborhood they live in has recently been voted one of “The 10 Most Caring Suburbs In America,” and yet she now fears to allow her children to walk alone in their neighborhood due to the threat of kidnapping by local police and CPS. Such is the sad state of affairs in the United States of America today, where parents fear having their children kidnapped by government authorities more than they fear other criminals who could harm their children.

Dr. Brownstein: Pneumococcal Vaccine Worthless for Adults

I am frequently asked by my adult patients if they should get the pneumococcal vaccine. If you want the short answer, I can give it here: NO WAY!

Let me explain.

An article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA—February 17, 2015, volume 313, N. 7) reported on the new guidelines which advise doctors to recommend two pneumococcal vaccines in adults. The recommendations state that “…adults 65 years or older should receive one dose of the 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) followed by a dose of the 23-valnet pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPSV23) 6 to 12 months later.” After reading that, you would assume that the two vaccines have been shown to be effective at preventing pneumococcal-associated illnesses and death from pneumonia. But, you would think wrong as the vaccines fail over 99% who take them.

As reported in the JAMA article, Stretococcus pneumoniae is a common cause of respiratory tract infection and community acquired pneumonia (CAP). In 2012, there were 31,600 cases of pneumococcal infection and 3,300 related deaths in the U.S. The highest rates of infection are among children and adults aged 65 years and older. The PPSV23 vaccine was licensed in the U.S. in 1983. According to a 2013 meta-analysis, there is no consistent evidence that the PPSV23 vaccine is associated with reduced rates of all-cause pneumonia or all-cause mortality.

What should you stock to protect yourself?

Recently we reported that, while many across the country were concerned about measles, which occurs in a largely vaccinated population and has caused no deaths, a larger threat wasn’t receiving proper attention: drug-resistant tuberculosis—and antibiotic-resistant “superbugs” in general. These infect at least two million Americans each year and kill 23,000, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As we’ve reported previously, superbugs are created through antibiotic overuse—both by doctors who rely too heavily on antibiotics and by industrial farming operations. Consider these statistics: a Medscape poll found that 95% of healthcare professionals said they prescribe antibiotics when they aren’t even sure they’re needed. A whopping 70% of all antibiotics used in the US are used on livestock.

Fortunately, there are alternatives to using pharmaceutical antibiotics, and essential oils head the list.

Study: Oil Pulling with Coconut Oil Decreased Plaque and Gingivitis

A 2015 study published in the Nigeria Medical Journal looked at the effect of “oil pulling” with coconut oil on plaque formation and plaque induced gingivitis. The study was conducted in the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Kannur Dental College, in Kerala, India.

Oil pulling is a technique that has become popular where one takes a spoonful of coconut oil and swishes it around in their mouth (without swallowing) for 15 minutes or so. Many health benefits are claimed from following such a practice, but so far published research has only documented the dental benefits. Even “mainstream” dentists in the United States are reporting benefits they are seeing in their patient’s dental health among those who regularly practice oil pulling.

Warrant Issuing Judge in Stanley Children Kidnapping Case Forces Sheriff to Reveal Documents

Reporter Clay Herrmann of the Hot Springs Daily News in Arkansas has published copies of the Search Warrant documents used to take the seven children out of the Stanley home on January 12, 2015 with the full force of a tactical SWAT-style team. As has previously been reported, the children were removed by Garland County Deputy Sheriff Sgt. Michael Wright, against the protests of social service workers and a medical team who were present at the scene and saw nothing warranting the children’s removal.

Mr. Herrmann went directly to the judge who issued the warrant, Judge Lynn Williams, who forced Deputy Sheriff Mike Wright to finally hand over the documents. So far, no criminal charges have been filed against the father Hal Stanley, or any other family member. And yet, the State retains custody of their children.

If you are a citizen of the United States living in Garland County Arkansas, maybe it is time to take action if you do not want to continue living in a police state where authorities can come and kidnap your children with no criminal charges filed. If Sgt. Wright does not believe he has to give an account of his actions because he can hide in Juvenile Court, maybe it is time for a “Citizens vs. Garland County Sheriff Department” complaint to be filed in Garland County, and specifically against Mike Wright.

Glyphosate Testing Skyrockets After WHO Report on Cancer

U.S. consumer groups, scientists and food companies are testing substances ranging from breakfast cereal to breast milk for residues of the world’s most widely used herbicide on rising concerns over its possible links to disease.

The focus is on glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup. Testing has increased in the last two years, but scientists say requests spiked after a World Health Organization research unit said last month it was classifying glyphosate as “probably carcinogenic to humans.”

“The requests keep coming in,” said Ben Winkler, laboratory manager at Microbe Inotech Laboratories in St. Louis. The commercial lab has received three to four requests a week to test foods and other substances for glyphosate residues. In prior years, it received only three to four requests annually, according to its records.

Tests by Abraxis found glyphosate residues in 41 of 69 honey samples and in 10 of 28 soy sauces; Microbe tests detected glyphosate in three of 18 breast milk samples and in six of 40 infant formula samples.

9 Year Medical Kidnapping Case in Arizona Reaches Federal Court - Mother Speaks Out

Leanna Smith of Arizona recently spoke out on her federal medical kidnapping case on the Robert Scott Bell show. In this interview, Leanna explains that she has two cases that will be heard on the 17th. One case is against the doctors who filed a report against her to CPS allegedly to cover up their medical malpractice that caused her first daughter to suffer, and which resulted in her losing custody of her daughter.

The second case involves conspiring to take custody of her second daughter because she had initiated the first lawsuit against them.

A panel of judges from the 9th Circuit Court will review the case. Leanna is hoping that the court will unseal over 1800 audio recordings in the case which will expose just how the medical system and CPS in Arizona work in taking children away from their parents by medically kidnapping them.

Parent advocate Steve Isham also spoke on the Robert Scott Bell show and stated that the secret dealings of Arizona Family Court will finally come to light in federal court. He stated that in his 40 years of working as a parent advocate on these cases, the secrecy in which family court operates in Arizona has never been for the benefit of the children, but to cover up injustice.

Healing from Vaccine Damage Begins in the Gut

Is it safe to discuss the option of not vaccinating your children with your child’s pediatrician? Are you risking being turned over to Child Protective Services, if you and your doctor disagree about vaccination?

During a recent conversation with Judy Converse, MPH RD LD, a pediatric nutrition specialist, I discussed the medical kidnapping of infants and children by agents of Child Protective Services. Judy Converse provides services to children with a wide range of neurodevelopmental conditions.

She is the author of three books on the topic of nutrition and child development, and has lectured at numerous national and local gatherings for parents and professionals on topics related to autism, Asperger’s, and related developmental conditions. Her work emphasizes the profound impact nutrition and a healthy gut have on the developing brain.

Is the FDA Getting Ready to Ban Homeopathy?

Homeopathy was one of the most common medical practices in the United States in the 1800s. In 1892, homeopaths in the United Stated controlled about 110 hospitals, 145 dispensaries, 62 orphan asylums and old peoples homes, over 30 nursing homes and sanitaria and 16 insane asylums. However, the pharmaceutical industry did everything it could to stomp out homeopathy, and it is not as widespread in the U.S. today as it once was. (See: American Medical Revolutions: How the AMA Took Over America.)

Worldwide, homeopathy is the second largest system of health care used behind conventional pharmaceutical-based medicine. The number of homeopaths worldwide doubled between 1999 and 2009, and the number of homeopathic hospitals grew from under 2,000 to over 7,000. Currently, there are no homeopathic hospitals in the United States.

There are still homeopaths practicing in the U.S., however, and we have highlighted some of their work here at Health Impact News. Their ability to help heal vaccine injuries, for example, is quite impressive.

Soon, however, the FDA may take steps to further reduce or even eliminate homeopathy in the U.S., as the Alliance for Natural Health reports here.

Parents of HPV Vaccine Victims Protest in the Streets of Colombia

Once again, news regarding injuries due to the Gardasil vaccine is routinely censored from the U.S. media. Thanks to Norma Erickson of Sanevax.org, we bring you this report from Colombia, where recently parents of the victims of HPV vaccine injuries gathered to protest in the streets.

Dr. Yehuda Shoenfeld, one of the world’s foremost experts on autoimmune disorders stated “If the negative effects outweigh the benefits, the vaccine should not be prescribed.” Merck’s own prescribing information sheet states for every 100,000 people who use Gardasil 2,500 serious adverse events are to be expected.

Dr. Yehuda Shoenfeld state that he would not recommend HPV vaccines for his own daughter.

What Should Politicians Say When Asked About Evolution?

In my talk, I not only gave an answer to the question “What Should Politicians Say When Asked About Evolution?” but I first explained why it is a difficult question for many politicians, especially conservative ones, to answer. There are three main reasons.

First, the term “evolution” can mean several different things, ranging from (1) the scientifically uncontroversial idea of “change over time” (think of small-scale variations in the shape and size of Galapagos finch beaks) to (2) the more controversial notion of universal common ancestry (think of Darwin’s tree of life) to (3) the increasingly controversial idea that the mechanism of natural selection and random mutation have produced all the forms of life we see today without any guidance or design. The last meaning of “evolution” is what Richard Dawkins calls the “Blind Watchmaker” thesis.

CPS Defies Doctors and Police to Take Young Children Away from Mother

It was a sequence of events that could happen to any new mother, but Brenda Maney of Richmond, Kentucky, could never have anticipated that it would result in her losing her children, perhaps forever. But that is what is happening. In less than a month, on May 7, Brenda faces a hearing to permanently terminate her parental rights.

Brenda’s baby girl was born two weeks early via c-section. She went to the NICU and was in a coma for eight days. She was diagnosed with sleep apnea and severe GERD, and required an apnea monitor when she was finally released to go home. Between an infection in her surgical scar, and a monitor that sometimes went off every half hour or hour, Brenda wasn’t getting much sleep. She was also caring for her 11 year old special needs son.

She didn’t have much help either, because her mother had passed away not long before the birth, and she was a single mom. When her baby was 6 weeks old, she learned that she was going to have to move soon because the building she lived in was being sold. By this point, she was still under doctors orders not to lift anything over 10 lbs.

Then the transmission on her car went out.

It was a bit overwhelming, and Brenda called a friend, crying about the series of unfortunate events. Her friend offered to try to help her. Her friend was a bit naive, and called CPS to help the new mama, believing that their role was to help parents in time of need. That is when the problems really started. Although local police objected, CPS took away her children. Even after doctors cleared Brenda of any psychological or medical problems, CPS refused to give her children back.

Fast forward to 2015. If you walk into a cardiology office you will walk out with a stack of prescriptions and orders for testing such as treadmills and ultrasounds. But what are the benefits?

Student Who Refused to Lie About Vaccines and was Kicked out of Nursing School Fights Back with Lawsuit

In 2013, nursing student Nichole Bruff was dismissed from Baker College in Michigan for allegedly asking questions about the way her instructors were teaching nursing students how to coerce parents into receiving vaccines for their children, even if the children or parents did not want them. Nichole wondered why a patient’s right to choose or refuse a medical procedure was not being followed in administering vaccines. To her, this seemed to violate medical ethical issues she had been taught in nursing school, so she wanted clarification on why vaccines were different when it came to patient rights and ethics. Is this not part of the American educational process, the right of students to question their instructors?

Shortly before she was due to graduate, she was dismissed from the school without warning, and with no recourse to appeal the dismissal. She soon found out that her dismissal prevented her from being accepted at other nursing schools. Nichole tells Health Impact News: “My dream of being a nurse practitioner of midwifery is gone.”

Now, she is fighting back by filing a lawsuit against the school.

Cook Family vs. CPS Case in Texas Heads to Grand Jury

In this interview with Angel Cook, she explains how a Texas CPS worker came into their home after the death of one of their adopted children, and misrepresented herself as a police detective, and then accused her of murdering her child, a charge that was later dismissed in a court of law.

CPS removed their other 7 children from the home, and they were subsequently mistreated and sexually abused while in Texas foster care.

Today, the Cooks have their children back, but they continue to fight against the abuses of Texas CPS and the foster care system. Angel Cook and two of her sons have testified twice before legislative committees about the failings of CPS and the foster care system.

Although all charges were dropped against the parents for the death of their adopted son, who was allegedly abused and mistreated prior to coming into the Cook Family’s care, Angel Cook is now listed as a Child Abuser and can no longer get a job or visit her children in school. The social workers who knew about the mistreatment and sexual abuse of their children while in foster care remain on their jobs as social workers, and the foster parents who allegedly abused their children are still fostering other children.
