The head of pediatrics at St Stephens Hospital in New Delhi has blasted the World Health Organization and Bill Gates’ GAVI vaccine partnership for pushing a deadly vaccine program on India. The pentavalent vaccine has already killed at least 40 babies in India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. The vaccine program has been suspended in Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Pakistan after deaths and adverse reactions. This pentavalent vaccine combines the outdated whole-cell DPT (withdrawn in the US) with Hib and hepatitis B. It is the brainchild of the Bill Gates GAVI vaccine partnership, which boasts of rolling it out around the world.

FDA Approves a Dangerous New Antidepressant—for Hot Flashes!

The FDA has approved the first non-hormonal treatment for hot flashes associated with menopause. The drug is paroxetine mesylate (marketed as Brisdelle). Paroxetine, an SSRI, is the active ingredient in two drugs for depression and other psychiatric disorders, Paxil and Pexeva. What is not mentioned is that the FDA’s Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee voted 10 to 4 that the overall risk-benefit profile of the drug did not support approval—that the benefits over placebo were “minimal,” and that all of the severe side effects associated with SSRIs, such as suicidal thoughts and osteoporosis, outweigh the minor benefits.

France Launches Long-term Study on GMO Health Risks, Ends GMO Field Trials

The research department of the General Commission for Sustainable Development (CGDD) Department of Ecology issued a call for the establishment of a consortium under the research program Risk’OGM, a national research program on the environmental and health risks of GMOs. “The purpose of this call for the creation of a consortium is to investigate the health effects of long-term consumption of GMOs,” announced the ministry, which added that the grant to the consortium will be “in the order of 2.5 million euros.”

Meanwhile, France’s last-remaining experimental open field trial of GMOs in France has been stopped. Bees dying by the millions

Local beekeepers are finding millions of their bees dead just after corn was planted here in the last few weeks. Dave Schuit, who has a honey operation in Elmwood, lost 600 hives, a total of 37 million bees.

“Once the corn started to get planted our bees died by the millions,” Schuit said. He and many others, including the European Union, are pointing the finger at a class of insecticides known as neonicotinoids, manufactured by Bayer CropScience Inc. used in planting corn and some other crops.

Researchers determined a total of 10 key areas where grass-fed is better than grain-fed beef for human health. Contrary to popular arguments, factory farming is not a cheap, efficient solution to world hunger. But instead of shifting away from GMO corn, or from corn altogether, many are doubling down on insect-fighting technology, deploying more chemical pesticides than before. Companies like or that sell soil insecticides for use in corn fields are reporting huge increases in sales: 50 or even 100 percent over the past two years.

Steiner, the Nebraska crop consultant, usually argues for another strategy: Starve the rootworms, he tells his clients. Just switch that field to another crop. “One rotation can do a lot of good,” he says. “Go to beans, wheat, oats. It’s the No. 1 right thing to do.” But large industrial farmers seem unwilling to give up the lucrative corn cash crop.

Farm Family Threatened with $700,000 Fine for Raising Pigs

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR), through the Michigan Attorney General, is asking the judge hearing Mark Baker’s case to fine him $700,000. DNR believes Mark has 70 “illegal pigs” being raised in violation of an invasive species order (ISO). Possession of prohibited swine carries penalties of up to two years in jail and fines of up to $10,000 per violation, so the state is asking for the maximum fine allowed under the law for raising what the state deems the wrong breed of pig.

Supreme Court rules Drug Companies exempt from Lawsuits

Among all the press coverage on recent Supreme Court rulings, most media sources barely even mentioned that the US Supreme Court also made a ruling on lawsuits against drug companies for fraud, mislabeling, side effects and accidental death. From now on, 80 percent of all drugs are exempt from legal liability. In a 5-4 vote, the US Supreme Court struck down a lower court’s ruling and award for the victim of a pharmaceutical drug’s adverse reaction. According to the victim and the state courts, the drug caused a flesh-eating side effect that left the patient permanently disfigured over most of her body. The adverse reaction was hidden by the drug maker and later forced to be included on all warning labels. But the highest court in the land ruled that the victim had no legal grounds to sue the corporation because its drugs are exempt from lawsuits.

Vaccines: Why are informed consent laws being ignored?

Throughout the 20th century, countless medical consumers have battled to obtain the right to informed consent. Although the U.S. Constitution does not specifically address the issue, multiple court cases have upheld the premise that the constitutionally guaranteed right to privacy insures that people are protected from governmental interference when deciding private matters, such as when they make decisions about accepting or refusing medical care. Every medical consumer now has the legal right to participate in their health care decisions via the doctrine of informed consent, but when it comes to vaccinations, these laws are being ignored. Vaccines are a medical intervention. As with any medical procedure, there are risks involved to certain individuals. Under the informed consent doctrine, you have a right to know these risks and alternative treatments prior to granting your consent. Remember, informed consent is the law – not simply an option.
