Virgin Coconut Oil Beats Mineral Oil for Skin Health in New Study on Dermatitis

A study published in the Philippines compared the topical effects of virgin coconut oil and mineral oil on 117 children suffering from atopic dermatitis (AD). The study was published in the International Journal of Dermatology.

In this randomized, double-blind clinical trial, virgin coconut oil was the clear winner: “among pediatric patients with mild to moderate AD, topical application of virgin coconut oil for eight weeks was superior to that of mineral oil based on clinical (SCORAD) and instrumental (TEWL, skin capacitance) assessments.”

No surprises in this study, as the healing properties of coconut oil in treating various skin conditions are quite well known in tropical climates where coconuts grow, and supported by several other studies published in recent years.

Ginger Treats Osteoarthritis with Topical Application

Research from Australia’s Edith Cowan University has confirmed an ancient treatment – that osteoarthritis pain and mobility is reduced with the application of ginger root topically. The researchers recruited 20 adults between the ages of 35 and 90 years old – average age of 64 years old. All of the volunteers had been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. 85% of the patients had osteoarthritis of the knees and/or hips. The researchers randomly divided the patients into two groups, and treated half of them with a ginger (Zingiber officinalis) compress, and half with a ginger transdermal patch – a patent-pending product from New Zealand. The patients applied the patch or compress daily. They were monitored weekly with a Health Assessment Questionnaire throughout the 24 week study.

The patients in both groups experienced significant improvement in pain, fatigue, well-being and mobility after only seven days, and this improvement increased through the study. Researchers concluded that “This pilot study suggests ginger therapy using both the ginger compress and ginger patch has the potential to relieve symptoms and increase independence for people with osteoarthritis.”

DNA Testing: Do You Have a Right to Test Your Own DNA? FDA Says No!

There’s a reason your government is whittling away at your healthcare options and driving costs out of control—and not a good one. On November 22, the FDA sent a warning letter to 23andMe.com to stop its inexpensive ($99 per test) “do-it-yourself” genetic testing service for health screening and ancestry purposes, because consumers could be “misled” and harm themselves by “self-treating.” The FDA’s stance on DIY genetic testing could very well drive up healthcare costs. Besides premiums being raised on those forced to report DNA results to insurance companies, in-office testing is far more expensive. As tests are priced anywhere from $300 to $3,500, this could significantly add to the overall cost of healthcare.

The FDA’s true message is clear: because individuals can’t be trusted to make sound health decisions, they don’t have a right to private information on their own DNA.

The highly controversial Gardasil vaccine has now been found to be completely worthless for African American women, by scientists at Duke University School of Medicine. Apparently this fact will not stop doctors and nurses from continuing to vaccinate them, however.

Reason Magazine Abandons Libertarian Principles: Openly Advocates Forced Vaccination

One aspect of the police state that is particularly bothersome is forced drugging. We see this manifest in a variety of situations, usually involving children whose parents question their doctors or want to pursue alternative health care solutions. Being a complicated and emotional issue, many people end up siding with the courts in pursuit of mandatory medication. While this position is to be expected from the average statist, it is somewhat alarming when a well-known and respected publication like Reason Magazine comes out in favor of forced mass-drugging of the population, or as it was gently termed, “coercive vaccination.” These ideas, promoted under pseudo-libertarian shroud, cannot go unrebuked.

Reason is a 45-year old magazine, traditionally promoting the libertarian cause, and has published a lot of thoughtful and compelling work over the years. Yet, it seems that there is a faction of the staff that is promoting a contentious view of “liberty” when it comes to certain topics regarding science. One blogger, with the consent of a sympathetic editing staff, is so adamant about promoting the consensus of mainstream scientists that he believe that it should be mandatory for all. He argues in no uncertain terms that he not only believes that coerced medicine is libertarian, but that there is no libertarian argument for declining a vaccine.

Coercion doesn’t line up with any Libertarian Party plank that I’m aware of, nor does it stand up to actual libertarian logic. The fact is that coercion is what happens when statists can’t win in a battle of ideas. I hope that Reason will reevaluate whether its current strategy of militant vaccine promotion is in line with its mission statement. Until then, we will be calling out advocates of compulsory medicine as the police state pushers that they are.

U.S. Supreme Court Orders Obama Administration to Explain Why They Want to Deport German Homeschool Family

After fleeing persecution for homeschooling in Germany in 2008, the Romeike family was granted asylum by Immigration Judge Lawrence O. Burman in 2010. The Obama administration revoked their asylum in 2012 and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the administration’s position saying that Germany was merely enforcing a general law regarding truants. HSLDA appealed to the Supreme Court on October 10, 2013.

The Supreme Court ordered Attorney General Eric Holder to respond in writing to Home School Legal Defense Association’s petition on behalf of the Romeikes.

“The government initially waived its right to respond, apparently thinking that Romeike v. Holder wasn’t worthy of the Court’s consideration,” Mason said. “Clearly someone in the Supreme Court disagrees. ”

In a separate recent case, an immigration judge ruled that Obama’s uncle could stay here even though he came to the United States illegally.

Florida Judge Orders Homeschool Children to Attend Public School

The right for parents to educate their children as they desire is under attack. As we have reported previously, homeschooling is growing seven times faster than public schooling, and the U.S. government is progressively taking actions to restrict it. Parents are increasingly keeping their children at home to educate them, avoiding government intrusion into their family lives, which includes mandatory vaccinations, toxic school meals, and questionable educational materials among other things.

Having access to the nation’s children is an economic necessity for the distribution of vaccines and government subsidized food provided to the schools. As public school enrollments decrease, it causes economic hardship on pharmaceutical companies and large commodity processed food corporations.

Prejudice against homeschooled children is still prevalent, as can be seen in this recent case in Florida, where a judge ordered homeschooled children to attend public school. The children had been appointed a guardian by the court in a visitation dispute between their divorced parents. While neither parent had any issues with the children being educated at home, the guardian and judge acted independently and decided for themselves what they deemed best for the children, and ordered them to start attending a public school, even though both parents were committed to raising them Catholic.

FDA Pertussis Vaccine Study Shatters Illusion of Vaccine-Induced Immunity

Recent vaccine research again reveals the gulf between what you’re told about vaccines—how they work and how effective they are at preventing infectious disease—versus what is truly known about naturally acquired and vaccine acquired immunity.

Nearly a century after the release of the whooping cough (B. pertussis) vaccine, mounting evidence suggests that widespread mandated use of the vaccine could potentially be doing more harm than good in the long term—in addition to having been found lacking in the effectiveness. New research suggests that while the vaccine may keep people from getting sick, it doesn’t prevent them from spreading whooping cough — also known as pertussis — to others.

This may partly explain recent outbreaks of whooping cough among the highly vaccinated U.S. population, in which 95 percent of children have received at least five doses of pertussis vaccine between two months and six years old. The media and the pharmaceutical companies continue to blame whooping cough outbreaks on the small minority of the population that are not vaccinated, but the data does not support this.

CDC Finally Acknowledges Real Lyme Disease Rates to Create Market for New Vaccine

U.S. Military Starts Producing Vaccines: New Billion Dollar Experimental Vaccine Market?

The U.S. military is getting into the vaccine business. And why not? Pharmaceutical companies are desperate to develop new products to recover lost profits from expiring patents on block-buster drugs. It’s a win, win, win market for the pharmaceutical industry, and a lose, lose, lose way of life for the U.S. military and American public.

Utah Health Official Bans Gardasil Vaccine

The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting today that the physician who directs Utah’s Southwest Public Department of Health has decided to exclude the Gardasil HPV vaccine in public health clinics.

Given the fact that national talk show host Katie Couric just aired a program this week calling Gradasil “controversial,” for which she was widely criticized and attacked by mainstream media who were claiming there was “no controversy” regarding Gardasil, this story breaking in Utah today suggests that even in the U.S., physician support for Gardasil is not as unanimous as the mainstream media would like you to believe.

And this is not even “new” news in Utah, as “The decision to exclude the vaccine from its public health clinics in Beaver, Iron, Garfield, Kane and Washington counties was made years ago….”

Dr. David Blodgett, the director of the Department of Health gave the reasons why they are not stocking the controversial Gardasil vaccine in the Salt Lake Tribune:

“The backlash and sentiment against it was strong enough that there’s no reason to go there. No one wants it and it’s too expensive when we’re not funded to provide it.”

Blodgett cites other problems with Gardasil, namely that it was fast-tracked through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a belief that its benefits were oversold by drug maker Merck.

“The science wasn’t good… We had physicians in our community arguing that we not make it available,” said Blodgett.

So this is not a lone doctor crusader expressing doubts about Gardasil, but a reflection of many physicians in the community.

Is Trans Fat “Ban” Paving Way to Promote New Monsanto GMO Product?

The recent “ban” on trans fats may actually be a way to promote a Monsanto GMO product. It’s important to note that since this is a proposed rule, and not a final one, there’s still a chance it could be changed or dropped. In the rule, the FDA mentions that the agency is open to alternate approaches to addressing partially hydrogenated oils in food, such as the setting of acceptable trans fat threshold levels. The timing and intent of the FDA’s rule is suspect for two reasons. First, it was announced only after most companies had already eliminated trans fat—it’s currently only in a handful of foods. Second, the ban will promote market demand for two new GMO soybeans by Monsanto and DuPont, which are engineered for trans fat free oils.

Support for Lawton's Raw Milk Family Farm Forces Delay in Board of Health Public Hearing to Shut Them Down

The town of Foxborough Massachusetts is proposing new stricter raw milk regulations which would put The Lawtons Family Farm out of business. The farm has spanned 11 generations dating back to the 1700s.

But at a Board of Health public hearing, so many people turned out to support the Lawtons, that the hearing had to be postponed until they could find a larger venue. The regular meeting room only holds 80 people, and more than 140 showed up, most of them to show support for the raw milk farmers.

Mainstream Media Attacks Katie Couric for Publishing Truth on Gardasil Vaccine

Popular news broadcaster Katie Couric interviewed the mother of a young lady who died after receiving the Gardasil vaccine, as well as one of the lead doctors who conducted clinical trials for Merck on her day-time talk show Wednesday December 4th. She also interviewed another mother and daughter who have been affected by the vaccine.

That a major network allowed something negative about vaccines to be aired is quite rare. If you visit the Katie Couric website to read about the show, however, you will find nothing in print that is negative regarding the Gardasil vaccine, but instead you will find an article by a physician recommending the vaccine, as well as links to the CDC which of course is pro-vaccine.

The issues communicated in the show regarding the Gardasil vaccine, which are readily available online, are probably less significant than how the mainstream media responded to the show. Attacks on Katie Couric for talking to a parent of a child who died from vaccine injuries, and a physician who was involved in bringing the vaccine to market, clearly shows the mainstream media bias and censorship that still exists regarding vaccines. If you read the hit pieces being written against Katie Couric today, you would have to assume that she was standing up for mass murders.

Yet, all Couric did was to ask a simple question: Is the HPV vaccine safe? According to Michael Hiltzik of the LA Times, “Merely to ask the questions is to validate them.” The topic of vaccines are exempt from regular investigative journalism, and if you ask the wrong questions, expect to be attacked just for asking the question. The public does not deserve such information – journalists know better.

If HPV vaccines were consumer goods would they still be on the market?

The latest statistics from the USA’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) statistics concerning the serious side effects and deaths associated with HPV vaccines such as Gardasil make for chilling reading. A single investigation of the VAERS database, widely accepted as being 10-100 times under reported about, shows the following: 148 deaths recorded after HPV vaccinations, over 3,000 hospitalizations, and more than 6,000 who did not recover from the new medical conditions experienced after HPV vaccines.

In the case of Gardasil for some reason the same safety issues that govern say; automobiles, baby equipment, tires, peanut butter and more do not apply. Vaccines appear to be subject to very different standards, standards where it is quite acceptable to have deaths, life threatening and life changing illness associated with your product.

To put this in perspective, imagine if Gardasil were a car associated with the same level of deaths (to date over 148) and tens of thousands of serious adverse events; would the car still be on the road?

If Gardasil were a baby sling, it would have been pulled from the market after just 3 deaths as was the case with the Infantino baby sling – one million were recalled in March, 2010.

In 1982 Tylenol recalled 31 million bottles of the product after 7 Deaths.

What committee is reviewing the considerable health issues that surround HPV vaccines? To date, the answer is none.

But it gets worse. Gardasil has not only far too many deaths and serious health issues associated with it, there is no proof that it works!

Avocados Found to Contain Antioxidant, Anticancer Fats

Recent research finds that some of the fats in avocado are antioxidant and block cancer growth. This is in addition to the incredible array of health properties of the humble avocado. The research looked at the antioxidant capacities of the avocado and found that the avocado’s lipophilic phytonutrients, which include tocopherols, sterols, monusaturates, carotens and acetogenins, provide the bulk of these antioxidant benefits. The acetogenins in avocados have been found to provide more than just antioxidant benefits. Researchers from Ohio State University found that two of avocados’ acetogenins – dihydroxyheptadecenyl acetate and dihydroxyheptadecynyl acetate – inhibited the growth of cancer cells.

Ohio Amish Girl Who Refused Forced Chemo Now Reported Cancer-free

A relative says an Ohio Amish girl diagnosed with leukemia continues natural treatments while hiding with her parents amid a legal case over whether she’ll be forced to resume chemotherapy.

Doctors fought the family’s decision to end chemotherapy, saying Sarah Hershberger would die without it. Her grandfather tells the Akron Beacon Journal that Sarah recently celebrated her 11th birthday and seems vibrant and healthy. Isaac Keim says blood and imaging tests showed the cancer is gone.

The family’s attorney says it fled home in northeast Ohio’s Medina County, leaving the country at one point to avoid having to resume chemotherapy treatments. A state appeals court has appointed a guardian to take over Sarah’s medical decisions.

Keim says the family returned to the U.S. but remains in hiding.

Her parents and family are only allowed one hour of monitored visitation and 2 20 minute monitored phone calls each week. Shockingly, this family has written proof that every medical action taken by them in their care of Justina was ordered by a physician. Despite this proof, BCH forcibly removed the parents from Justina’s care and have since assumed custody of their child indefinitely.

Institutional Corruption of Pharmaceuticals and the Drug Safety Myth

20 percent of all corporate crime is committed in the pharmaceutical industry. A recent report on the “institutional corruption” of pharmaceuticals was published the Journal of Law, Medicine and Ethics.

“Institutional corruption” does not refer to any violation of existing rules or laws. Rather it refers to “a certain kind of influence, within an economy of influence, that has a certain effect”. An activity is considered institutional corruption if it weakens the effectiveness of an institution, and/or weakens public trust in that institution.

8-Year Study Finds Flu Vaccines Ineffective in Decreasing Hospitalizations from the Flu

In a new report just published, researchers at the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation in Marshfield Wisconsin looked at hospitalizations during the flu season, covering an eight year time frame. The study looked at patients over the age of 20 with laboratory confirmed influenza.

The result of their 8-year study? “Vaccination was not associated with a reduced risk of hospital admission among all participants with influenza.”

A Pox on Cholesterol Lowering Drugs: Statins Raise Herpes Zoster (Shingles) Risk

A new study published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases reveals an association between statin drug use and increased risk of herpes zoster (shingles). Researchers from St. Michael’s Hospital, Ontario, Canada, conducted a population-based retrospective cohort study of Ontario residents 66 years of age or older, with a study period of thirteen years. They matched 494,651 individuals treated with a statin to an equal number of individuals not treated with one. In the main analysis, the rate of herpes zoster was higher among users of statins relative to nonusers of these drugs.

Against The Advice of Experts, Canada Approves World's First Genetically Modified Salmon Destined For Consumption In The U.S.

Running into opposition in getting their GM salmon approved in the U.S., Aquabounty has apparently switched strategies and targeted Canada instead. Environment Canada has approved the commercial production of GM Atlantic salmon eggs which grow to market-size twice as fast as other farmed salmon. The biotech company Aquabounty has revealed that it is no longer asking for approval to grow the fish in the US but plans to produce all of the GM salmon eggs in Canada and then sell “table-ready” GM salmon into the US consumer market. It is an alarming decision that sets Canada up to be the source of global environmental risk.

Should You Get A Shingles Vaccine?

In older adults, is vaccination against herpes zoster effective and safe? A Cochrane Review stated that the herpes zoster (shingles) vaccine has demonstrated effectiveness in preventing shingles in older adults, yet if you look at the actual numbers, you will see that in those aged 60-69, the shingles vaccine was ineffective for 98% (forty-nine out of fifty) of those studied. For those aged 70 and older, the vaccine was 99% ineffective, since 99 out of 100 received no benefit. In addition, when looking at the adverse effect risk of this vaccine, you will find that for every 2.8 vaccines given, one patient was harmed. Furthermore, for every one hundred subjects vaccinated, one had a severe adverse reaction such as rash, fever, or hospitalization.

I am incredulous that anyone looking at this data could proclaim that the shingles vaccine was effective. In fact, it wasn’t. According to this data, the shingles vaccine was a 98-99% failure.

No Polio in the Philippines Since 1993, But Mass Polio Vaccination Program Targeted for 500,000 Typhoon Victims Under Age 5

How many Filipino children will now be sacrificed for the vaccine cause, in a country that has no polio and where measles has been declining and is rare?

The Environmental Costs of Corn-Based Ethanol

In 2007, Congress passed a law requiring gasoline to be mixed with ethanol, to reduce dependence on foreign oil and promote environmentally friendly biofuels. Corn is the primary source of ethanol in the United States, and this, ironically, has turned out to have devastating consequences for the environment. Fermented Wheat Germ Treats Multiple Cancers

New research has confirmed that fermented wheat germ – especially using sourdough fermentation methods – is a viable cancer treatment, able to halt the growth of cancer cells. The new research, from Italy’s University of Bari and Germany’s Martin Luther University, screened over 40 fermenting bacteria types and tested wheat germ fermented using traditional sourdough methods against raw wheat germ. The laboratory research then tested these against multiple human cancer cell lines. They found that while the raw wheat germ had no anticancer potential, the fermented wheat germs showed significant inhibition of cancer cell growth. This new research confirms previous research on fermented wheat germ as an anti-cancer drug.

My Personal Battle After the Gardasil Vaccine

My name is Jennifer Guldin and I am 27 years old. Gardasil has impacted the lives of everyone I care about. I am unique from a lot of the girls that have been injured by Gardasil, because I did not receive the vaccine until I was 25 years old. I was already happily married and had a beautiful 3-year old daughter, prior to receiving the Gardasil vaccination. Gardasil has not only affected me, but it has also affected my loved ones who have had to witness me suffer on a daily basis for the last two years. I truly believe it has been equally difficult for them, just in a different way.

In high school I was very active. After graduating high school, I went on to college where I met the love of my life, Dustin. We were married in July of 2007 and God then blessed us with a beautiful and amazing little girl in August of 2008. Life was near perfect in my eyes! Other than two knee surgeries, from previous cheerleading injuries, and being fatigued as a new mother, I was in very good health. This all changed in September of 2011, when I visited my OB/GYN for my annual pap smear and was approached about the Gardasil vaccination. The nurse explained to me that Gardasil was to prevent against a sexually transmitted disease, HPV, and that there were absolutely no side effects. I told her that I was happily married and was not concerned about sexually transmitted diseases. She threw the words “cancer prevention” out there! After taking into consideration that my mom had breast cancer not too long ago and that it would probably be silly for me to pass up something that could protect me from going through what she did, I reluctantly agreed to get the Gardasil vaccine. That single moment has negatively impacted the past two years of my life and quite possibly may affect the rest of my life.

Cervical Cancer Prevention: Are You a Medical Consumer or a Medical Test Subject?

In September, the following headline appeared in the UK Daily Mail, “Grandmother, 55, died from cervical cancer after her GP dismissed her symptoms as the MENOPAUSE.” This woman knew something was wrong, visited her doctor multiple times, and had her symptoms blamed on age (menopause), instead of being run through normal diagnostic procedures which would have detected her cancer when it was still curable.

What would have most likely prevented her untimely death? A reliable HPV detection method that included genotyping and regular Pap smears. However, policy makers at the NCI have not made these options readily available to medical consumers. Policy makers have left women with no choice but to educate themselves, demand the reliable test procedures they need and refuse those options which provide little benefit and substantial risk. Women must stop allowing themselves to be manipulated by the news media and industry-paid consultants, whether they are in the government or the academic world. You have a choice – medical consumer or medical subject?

Sanofi Sued in France over Gardasil Vaccine - Could this be the Beginning of the End for Gardasil?

Mainstream news media widely reported last month that a French teenager had filed a lawsuit against French pharmaceutical company, Sanofi Pasteur, and France’s health regulators, over side-effects that were caused by the Gardasil HPV vaccine. Jean-Christophe Coubris Bordeaux is suffering from multiple sclerosis as a result of the Gardasil HPV vaccine.

This story is quite significant for two major reasons. First, you will never read a story like this happening in the United States, because you cannot sue a pharmaceutical company for damages as a result of vaccines in the United States. U.S. law, upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2011, gives total immunity to pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. for any damages related to vaccine products.

Secondly, negative news regarding lawsuits or government action against vaccines in countries outside the U.S. are almost never reported in the U.S. media. How this one slipped through the cracks is not clear to me at this point. It could be that they believe they have an air-tight defense in this lawsuit, and that the overall media exposure for them will be positive on this. Or, it could be that Sanofi, a French company, does not have the same media lobbyists and influence that American and UK drug firms seem to have.

The news regarding Gardasil outside the U.S. is very negative, while the U.S. media has continued to propagate the notion that Gardasil is one of the safest vaccines on the market. Japan recently announced it had stopped recommending Gardasil vaccines and has begun a full investigation into the safety of the vaccine, amid numerous reports of severe injuries from side effects.

In addition to all the bad publicity Gardasil is receiving over severe side effects, including death, a study that was completely ignored by the U.S. media earlier this year, linked the HPV vaccine to premature menopause in teenage girls.

In another recent report that was completely ignored by the mainstream U.S. media, it was found that the Bill Gates funded group, PATH, which participated in HPV vaccine drug trials in India, violated the law resulting in fatalities of young girls during the drug trials. An investigation is ongoing in India.

Could we be looking at another Merck disaster similar to Vioxx, which reportedly killed more than 60,000 people before it was removed from the market?

Chocolate Better for Your Teeth Than Fluoride

Toothpaste that contains the naturally-occurring cacao extract theobromine was more effective at repairing and re-mineralizing exposed dentin (the tissue that makes up the bulk of your teeth below the enamel) than fluoride toothpaste. People who brushed their teeth with cacao-extract toothpaste twice a day for one week had “100 percent dental occlusion” with their tooth dentin becoming re-mineralized or repaired. Past research has also shown that the phytocompound found in chocolate known as theobromine works better than fluoride at repairing lesions in artificial enamel. There are safer and more effective solutions for dental health than fluoridated toothpaste (and fluoridated drinking water), including natural non-fluoride toothpastes and proper nutrition.

Florida Couple Files Lawsuit Over Ban on Front-Yard Vegetable Gardens

May the government prohibit you from peacefully and productively using your own property to feed your family?

For 17 years, Hermine Ricketts and her husband Tom Carroll used their front yard to grow food for their own personal consumption. And for 17 years, nobody had a problem with it . . . until now. In May 2013, Miami Shores Village, Fla. amended its ordinance to make clear that front-yard vegetable gardens were prohibited. Only vegetables are explicitly banned—trees, fruit and garden gnomes are just fine.

A few days later, the Village’s code enforcement department served Hermine and Tom with a notice informing them they were in violation of the front-yard vegetable ban. The department threatened them with fines of $50 per day if they did not destroy their beautiful garden. Unable to bear the cost of such hefty fines, Hermine and Tom had no option but to surrender to the government’s demands and uproot the garden.

The battle, however, is far from over. Hermine and Tom are part of a nationwide movement of small-scale food producers and consumers who are tired of the government dictating what foods they can grow, sell, and eat. On November 19, 2013, they joined with the Institute for Justice to challenge Miami Shores’ senseless front-yard vegetable garden ban. Their case aims to vindicate the right of all Americans to peacefully use their own property to support their own families.

Are Aerosol Vaccines Forced Upon Populations via Plane or Helicopter The Wave of the Future?

It is a well established fact in the United States that the pharmaceutical company’s vaccine products cannot survive in a free market. Facing complete financial ruin due to extensive litigation resulting in faulty products which were maiming and killing people in the 1980s, the industry sought and was granted legal protection from all lawsuits by Congress in 1986. This law was challenged but upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2011.

Without this legal protection that no other product in the U.S. market enjoys, we would have far fewer vaccines in the market today, but the vaccines that would have survived the normal free market pressures would also be far safer. So like many other government subsidized products in the market, a huge “financial vaccine bubble” has formed over the past few years – a very costly bubble in more ways than one.

However, even with this legal protection, vaccine sales are continuing to slump as the true danger and toxicity of vaccines is becoming more widely understood, even with an almost complete ban on covering the dangerous side effects of vaccines in the mainstream media, which is quickly losing credibility. The financial vaccine bubble may be poised to burst, as countries outside the U.S. are beginning to question the safety of certain vaccines in the market place, such as Gardasil.

Thanks to the power of the Internet and the new alternative media, facts about the true danger of vaccines are becoming well-known, where in the past they may have been concealed from the public. The Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law & Advocacy group published a report earlier this year explaining that the U.S. government has paid out more than $2 billion in vaccine injury compensation in over 2500 claims since the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program was implemented in 1988 to replace the legal system in hearing and trying vaccine injury cases. That is $2 billion in taxpayer money that in a free market judicial system would have been paid by the vaccine manufacturers (and probably a whole lot more than that!), but who get to continue dumping new vaccines into the market place with virtually no risk.

So what’s next in the government and pharmaceutical’s effort to keep the financial vaccine bubble inflated? If people are waking up to the facts of the dangers of vaccines and increasingly refusing them, then mandatory forced vaccinations is the only course left open, and what better way to maximize expenditure and profit than to use an aerial spraying delivery system on a non-compliant public who no longer wants these products.

FAIL: Infant Hep B Vaccines Perform Shamefully; Time To End Them?

An eye-opening new study published in the Journal of Viral Hepatitis reveals that conventional hepatitis B vaccine, and hepatitis B immunoglobulin-based treatment for infants of mothers who tested positive for hepatitis B infection, is nothing near “95% effective in preventing infection and its chronic consequences” that the World Health Organization (WHO) and a myriad of health organizations around the world claim it to be. To the contrary, researchers were able to detect through highly sensitive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) DNA testing that 42% of the infants still had ‘occult’ hepatitis B infection, 24 months after initiating treatment at birth, despite the fact that the vaccine reduced the incidence of overt infection. In the researchers’ own words: “The results of this large prospective longitudinal study show that 42% of babies born of HBsAg-positive mothers develop occult HBV infection, which is not prevented by administration of recombinant HBV vaccine to the newborn.” This study not only clearly calls into question the standard of care for preventing hepatitis B infection in infants born to infected mothers, but it also challenges core tenets of vaccinology, including hepatitis B vaccine safety and effectiveness.

“Regulate Supplements Like Drugs!” says Senator Durbin on NPR

In just under five minutes, Senator Durbin reveals his plan, which would effectively eliminate supplements from the shelves.

Durbin says that supplement producers should be legally liable for identifying anything about the supplement that “might” interact with a drug or cause some vague and ill-defined additional difficulty. Even drug companies are not required to report how a drug might interact with all other drugs, because they could never do so.

The senator also said: “I want at least to be sure, as a consumer, of what I’m consuming and what my family would be consuming.” We agree, but this is already required by law for supplements and foods with one glaring exception: genetically modified organisms.

FDA Sued, Forced to Remove Safety Status on Trans Fats

For over 60 years, saturated fats have been wrongfully accused of causing heart disease, despite mounting evidence showing that saturated fat is actually critical for optimal health while trans fat is the dietary fat causing heart disease. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced it is now considering removing partially hydrogenated oils—the primary source of trans fats—from the list of “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) ingredients. Making trans fat non-GRAS is the first step toward getting trans fats out of the American diet altogether. The FDA’s decision comes right on the heels of a lawsuit filed against the agency by a heart disease researcher. FDA is still holding fast to its ignorant view on saturated fats, urging you to “choose products that have the lowest combined amount of saturated fat, cholesterol and trans fat.” This advice causes far more harm than good. Saturated fats from animal and vegetable sources provide a number of important health benefits, and your body requires them for the proper function. Science has firmly debunked the myth that saturated fat promotes heart disease.

Farmer Fights Back: Sues State of Oregon For Ban on Free Speech in Advertising Raw Milk

An Oregon raw milk farmer is fighting back against Big Dairy and the state of Oregon for limiting her free speech.

The state of Oregon allows limited sales of raw milk from the farm. Based on a law passed in 1999, if a farmer has 3 or less dairy cows, with no more than two lactating, they can sell raw milk directly to the public.

Yet, in spite of these tight restrictions, the Oregon Dairy Farmers Association pushed for even more restrictions last year.

So while it is still currently legal to sell raw milk from a 2-cow dairy farm, it is a criminal offense if you advertise your product. If a raw milk dairy farm even publishes the cost of their product online, they can face a year in jail and $6,250 in fines. All Oregon farmers who sell milk on the farm directly to consumers are prohibited from advertising the milk online, in fliers, via email or on signs.

Being faced with the possibility of going out of business, Christina decided to fight back, with the help of the Institute for Justice, a civil liberties law firm based out of Alrington Virginia. This week they filed a suit against the Oregon Department of Agriculture in U.S. District Court in Portland, claiming farmers’ Constitutional rights to free speech are being violated.
