Just Say No To Acetaminophen

Acetaminophen (such as Tylenol®) is the most commonly used analgesic medication worldwide. Many physicians and lay people assume that acetaminophen is perfectly safe. It is not. A recent study published in the British Medical Journal (March 1, 2015) highlighted some of the adverse effects of acetaminophen. The researchers looked at multiple trials that reported adverse events related to acetaminophen use including mortality as well as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal or kidney problems. In one study, the authors found a 90% increased risk in overall mortality in those taking acetaminophen.

When Doctors Become Lawmakers: Medical Tyranny in California

California State Senator Dr. Richard Pan is a co-sponsor of a new proposed California bill, SB 277, which seeks to remove the personal belief exemption to vaccinations in California. Who is Dr. Pan? He is an "industry insider" when it comes to the medical industry. He is a teaching faculty member at UC Davis Children's Hospital, and has served in many organizations that set medical policy and funding, such as the American Medical Association, the United Way, Sacramento First 5 Commission, Healthy Kids Healthy Future, Sacramento Health Improvement Project, and others. Dr. Pan was also a supporter of AB 499 which allows minor children as young as 12 years old to be vaccinated with the Gardasil vaccine without the knowledge or consent of their parents.

Cleaning Copper Pots with Coconut Oil

Copper instantly responds to changes in temperature and this thermal conductivity ensures an even distribution of heat, so everything gets cooked consistently and evenly. The downside is that copper requires more TLC than standard stainless steel. This can be easily prevented by regularly using my very own copper cleaner.

Who is Trying to Silence Filmmaker and Judicial Watchdog Bill Windsor, Currently Held in County Jail?

Filmmaker Bill Windsor has been in the process of producing a film called "Lawless America" since 2005. It is a film project which exposes the corruption in the American judicial system. He currently has over 1200 videos in his YouTube channel of testimonials from American citizens who have experienced corruption in the judicial system first hand. Windsor was detained in Texas in October of 2014, and held in jail for over 50 days before being released in December of 2014. He is 66 years old, and claims this is the first time he was ever arrested and detained, and previously had never been charged with a crime. He states he has never used drugs, and is a "non-violent law-abiding citizen." He has filed numerous lawsuits across the country, including a couple of cases where he claims he was attacked by "cyberstalkers" who allegedly want to discredit his work. After being released from jail in Texas, he started a "road-trip" and blogged twice a day, once in the morning, and once at night, to let everyone know he was still free. The blog posts stopped on February 19th. Health Impact News and other alternative news media began a search for Mr. Windsor, and found that he had been incarcerated in Ada County jail in Boise, Idaho on February 19th. Health Impact News spoke with Bill Windsor from Ada County Jail this past weekend, and he wants us to covey to everyone that he is "OK." He stated that he is currently being held on a $4.1 million bond. Why?

New Texas Law Wants to Vaccinate Minor Children without Parental Consent

Children should not be vaccinated by any health care provider for any reason without the voluntary, informed consent of their parents. Period. HB 212, by Rep. Toni Rose ((D), D-110, Dallas) circumvents federal and state parental rights and consumer protection laws by allowing a minor child 14 years of age and older in the Texas Juvenile Justice System to consent to vaccination on their own without their parent. It also allows for a health care provider to consent to vaccination for the child if a parent has previously consented to any medical treatment not specific to vaccination. Unless the health care provider has “actual knowledge” that a parent has refused to give consent for a particular vaccine in the past, the doctor only has to make a “reasonable” attempt to contact the parent before he or she can shift the decision making to a minor child and themselves. The bill also puts the responsibility on the minor child to reveal personal and family vaccine reaction and medical history to the vaccine administrator while protecting the vaccine administrator from liability for any harm caused by vaccinating a child without parental consent.

Medically Kidnapped Isaiah Rider: “Don’t Underestimate Me”

Teenager Isaiah Rider is speaking out about being a victim of DCFS and Lurie Children's Hospital after they seized custody of him from his mother last year. A verdict was reached Wednesday, March 11, that the 17 year old will remain a ward of the state of Illinois, a state he only visited in order to have surgery. His message to the world and to DCFS is this: "One thing you're not going to do - take me away from my family. Don't underestimate me. You're never taking me away from my family. I love my family more than anything."

93 Percent of the World’s Seeds Have Been Lost in the Last 80 Years

Seeds represent the foundation of life. We depend on them for food, for medicine and for our very survival. In many ways, you can trace the underpinnings of any given culture through the heritage of their crops and seeds. It wasn’t long ago when seeds were mostly the concern of farmers who, as the Worldwatch Institute put it, “were the seed producers and the guardians of societies’ crop heritage." But this is no longer the case. Once considered to be the property of all, like water or even air, seeds have become largely privatized, such that only a handful of companies now control the global food supply. Ninety-three percent of seeds were lost from 1903 to 1993. Just four agrichemical companies own 43 percent of the world’s commercial seed supply. The Millennium Seed Bank Partnership estimates that 60,000 to 100,000 plant species are in danger of extinction.

Are Proposed Forced Vaccination Laws Comparable to Eugenics Forced Sterilization Laws in the U.S.?

Constitutional attorney Jonathan Emord has written an excellent commentary about current legislative efforts to remove vaccine exemptions, and increase forced vaccinations against people's wills. Emord writes: "The current rush to revoke laws allowing conscientious dissent from compulsory vaccination, including encumbering or revoking grounds based on religious or medical grounds, are a return to a very ugly era of elitism, one of gross intrusion into rights of personal autonomy and liberty that left us only a few decades ago." Emord reminds us that it was not that long ago when "eugenics" was a popular "scientific fact" accepted by the majority in our society, and used to pass state laws forcing sterilization of people considered "genetically unfit" for society.

How to Make Corn Tortillas: Nixtamalizing and Grinding Dried Corn

The process of nixtamalization is a simple one, one that has been practiced for generations by those whose mainstay is the corn grain. Corn masa, the dough that makes tortillas and chips and tamales, cannot be made without this process. But it wasn't done for frivolous reasons or for aesthetic purposes. Instead, those who subsisted off of corn and other local foods found it imperative to their health. Pellagra is a disease often acquired by cultures who began to utilize corn in large amounts in their diet. When corn was introduced to a new culture through travel or trade, and the historic practice of nixtamalizing the corn was ignored, people often fell ill with skin, digestive, and mental disorders. This was later diagnosed as pellagra. Those who had been subsisting on corn for generations and who were taught to soak their corn in lime, however, consumed corn as the backbone of their diet without such symptoms. Their was wisdom in the preparation. This process of soaking and cooking the corn in an alkaline solution - nixtamalization - is now known to release a B vitamin called niacin. Pellagra - and the vitamin and amino acid deficiencies related to it - can be prevented when the diet contains enough niacin. Nixtamalization, therefore, is a simple practice that transforms corn into a nourishing everyday food by releasing the niacin and making the grain more digestible.

Should New Jersey Government Decide What is “Bona Fide” Religion to Refuse Vaccines?

New Jersey politicians are making moves to restrict religious exemptions to refuse vaccines. Bill A1931 is scheduled for a 10:00 am Assembly Health Committee meeting on MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2015. According to NVIC: A1931 requires a written statement "explaining how the administration of the vaccine conflicts with the bona fide religious tenets or practices of the student, or the parent or guardian." As such it requires parents to explain and ultimately justify their deeply held personal and private religious beliefs to the government.

Retired Arizona Judge Reveals Corruption in Legal System

Justice John F. Molloy was an attorney in Arizona who went on to serve as a judge on the Arizona Superior Court bench. He is probably best known for his time serving as Chief Justice to Court of Appeals for the State of Arizona, where he authored the famous Miranda decision that was subsequently appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, resulting in what is known today as the "Miranda Rights" which law enforcement now quotes to suspected criminals upon arrest. Judge Molloy wrote a book that was published in 2004 a few years before he died in 2008. He was apparently suffering from cancer at the time, and perhaps knew his remaining time on earth was short. The title of the book is: The Fraternity: Lawyers and Judges in Collusion, published by Paragon House. It is an amazing expose on just how corrupt the American Judicial System is today, and it perhaps gives us a better understanding on how so many judges in family or juvenile courts across the United States are able to successfully remove children from the custody of their parents in medical kidnapping cases.

Breastfeeding 2-day Old Newborn Seized From Parents Because Mother Has Disability

A Florida couple is devastated. Child Protective Services just took their breastfeeding newborn from her mother's arms at the hospital. She was is not even two days old, but parents Tracey and Freddie Verzosa of Kissimmee, Florida will now only be able to visit their baby for feedings, under supervision. The accusations against them, according to the parents' story, boil down to the facts that Tracey is a slow learner, they are poor, and the baby was born too quickly for them to make it to the hospital. The Verzosas have 6 other children, and they have been fighting since last summer to get them back from DCF (Florida's Department of Children and Families.) They say that their other children were taken unjustly, and the children, who are divided between 3 different foster homes, cry and plead to come home whenever they see them.

                            Health Impact Editor Comments

Do not be discouraged by this report just released by the National Vaccine Information Center! Citizens across the U.S. are taking action to oppose these bills, and there have been some recent victories as bills in Oregon and Washington to expand medical tyranny regarding forced vaccines have been defeated (for now)!

Smart Meter Scandal in California? Emails Reveal CPUC May Have Known and Concealed Health Risks and Other Problems

Josh Hart of Stop Smart Meters! is reporting that former California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) President Michael Peevey is currently the subject of a criminal probe by the U.S. Attorney and State Attorney General who are investigating allegations of bribery and corruption. CPUC allegedly assured the public that California's smart meters were accurate, were no fire hazard, and no threat to health. However, research into more than 120,000 e-mails and memos between CPUC and Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) seems to paint quite a different picture.

Verdict – Missouri Resident Isaiah Rider To Remain Ward of the State of Illinois

Michelle Rider is in shock. Her son is upset and angry. They cannot believe that the system can get away with making 17 year old Isaiah Rider a permanent ward of the state of Illinois. The Missouri residents only visited the state in order to have a surgery there that was supposed to help Isaiah, who suffers from a rare neurological condition that leaves painful tumors on nerves. Instead of helping him, the actions initiated by Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago have resulted in custody of Isaiah being seized by Child Protective Services of Illinois. The final hearing for the Riders was on Wednesday, March 11, and the verdict was not at all what they had hoped to hear. Michelle writes: "Isaiah was just made a ward of the court in the state of IL. A Missouri residing resident is a ward of another state."

The Vaccine Culture War in America: Are You Ready?

More than 1.2 million people in the United States are infected with HIV but government officials do not ban HIV infected children and adults from attending school, receiving medical care, being employed, or otherwise participating in society. In fact, there are anti-discrimination laws that guarantee civil rights protections for Americans infected with HIV or living with AIDS. In 2012, public health officials reported that about two million people in America are infected with chlamydia, tuberculosis, syphilis and gonorrhea, and they estimate another three million people are infected with hepatitis C. Like those with HIV or AIDS, these citizens are not targeted for discrimination and blocked from getting a public education, being employed or moving freely in society. But in 2015 after a handful of measles cases were identified at Disneyland, suddenly Americans are being asked to surrender civil liberties. Healthy children whose only "crime" is that their parents have chosen to refuse toxic vaccines are suddenly at risk for being denied an education in America and other freedoms granted to other citizens. How did a handful of measles cases at Disneyland turn into a full-scale assault on civil and human rights in America?

New Film Exposes Shaken Baby Syndrome Myth – Opponents Want to Silence it at Film Festivals

A new film exposing the corruption behind much of the Shaken Baby Syndrome diagnosis used to remove children from the custody of their parents, and in some cases put parents behind bars, is currently making its way through the film festival circuit. The Syndrome is an explosive documentary following the crusade of a group of doctors, scientists, and legal scholars who have uncovered that “Shaken Baby Syndrome,” a child abuse theory responsible for hundreds of prosecutions each year in the US, is not scientifically valid. In fact, they say, it does not even exist. However, doctors and groups who benefit from Shaken Baby Syndrome diagnoses are opposing it, threatening film festivals with litigation if they consider including this film.

Coconut Oil Effective in Treating Aluminum Phosphide Poisoning

A new study published in the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine shows coconut oil can be an effective "supportive measure" in treating aluminum phosphide poisoning. The authors of the study, from the Department of Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonology at the Metro Heart Institute in Haryana, India, treated 7 cases of ALP poisoning with severe hemodynamic effects. The patients were treated with supportive measures including gastric lavage with diluted potassium permanganate, coconut oil and sodium-bicarbonate. Four out of 7 patients survived with these "supportive measures," and all four patients who were given coconut oil survived.

Aluminum is Toxic to All Life Forms: So Why is it Used in Vaccines?

Dr. Suzanne Humphries has made available to the public her lecture on neonatal immunity presented in New Zealand in May of 2014. In this lecture, Dr. Humphries deals specifically with the toxic effects of aluminum, which is a common adjuvant contained in childhood vaccines. The medical literature clearly shows that aluminum is a death factor for cells, and highly toxic. The reasons as to why aluminum has not been replaced with something less toxic or non-toxic are economical, and not medical. This is a critical lecture that anyone considering vaccines needs to watch, particularly pregnant women and parents of young children.

Wyoming Makes it Legal to Buy Food Directly from your Neighbors and Local Farm

In a win for farmers, deliciousness, and just plain common sense, Wyoming’s governor signed a bill this past week which will “stop overregulation of locally produced foods” by making it illegal for the state government to require “licensure, permitting, certification, inspection, packaging, or labeling” when farmers sell food directly to consumers. In practice, this means that farmers markets and small food stands will be able to proceed without the interference of government busybodies. As the bill explains, its purpose “is to allow for the sale and consumption of homemade foods, and to encourage the expansion of agricultural sales by farmers markets, ranches, farms and home based producers.” The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. Tyler Lindholm, says it will “take local foods off the black market. It will no longer be illegal to buy a lemon meringue pie from your neighbor or a jar of milk from your local farm.”
