Virgin Coconut Oil: The Dietary Oil the Government Does Not Want You Know About because it is a Threat to Pharmaceutical Products

In 2001, while living in the Philippines with my family, I became the first person to export a "Virgin Coconut Oil" from the Philippines to the United States. The product wasn't known as "Virgin Coconut Oil" in the Philippines. It was just known as common "coconut oil" that the poor people made by hand, using traditional methods, because it was cheaper to make this kind of coconut oil from fresh coconuts, than it was to buy the mass-produced machine-made refined coconut oil sold in the grocery stores. We had spent the previous two years developing our Philippine Herb company in the Philippines, and exporting some of these herbs to the U.S. for the herbal supplement industry. Handmade coconut oil using traditional methods, was an afterthought for us, but because it was the dietary oil our family was now consuming in the Philippines at that time, we decided to offer it for sale in the U.S. also. The rest is history, as it quickly became our #1 product, changing so many people's lives that powerful forces tried to destroy us to stop the sale of this simple dietary oil that had nourished tropical populations for thousands of years, with tremendous health benefits. Those health benefits threatened market share of other products in the U.S., including pharmaceutical drugs and the "newer" polyunsaturated oils that technology made possible after WW II, and today are normally referred to as "vegetable oils" made from corn and soybeans, which today are more than 90% genetically modified (GMO). I was very fortunate to utilize the emerging technology in 2001, and the growing use of the Internet, to educate the American public about the truth regarding the edible oil industry, and show how the U.S. Government's dietary recommendations through the USDA were faulty, and served the interests of big corporations and had nothing to do with Americans' health. This was long before Google, Facebook, or Twitter were around filtering information, and when Amazon.com still mostly sold only books. By 2003, there was strong market demand for Virgin Coconut Oil, and book publishers were contacting me about writing a book, as I had published so much information on coconut oil, including peer-reviewed research on its health benefits, some of which had been around since the 1960s. I ended up self-publishing our own book in 2004, gathering together 100 of the best testimonies from our customers and readers, and we also hired a professional chef to create some recipes on how to use coconut oil, which were also published in the book. Today there are hundreds of thousands of copies of this book printed, although most now buy the eBook version. Much of the contents of the book are also published on CoconutOil.com, but if you would like to have a hard copy that will not disappear if the Internet goes down, we are currently offering it for free for a limited time.

The FDA has NOT Banned Trans Fats! Traditional Saturated Fats like Coconut Oil Continue to Shine for Alzheimer’s Disease but are Condemned by U.S. Dietary Advice

It has been widely reported in the Alternative Media this month that the FDA has banned trans fats, and that they will no longer be allowed in foods starting December 22, 2023. Please note: if you believe that the FDA always tells us the truth because they want to protect us, then there is no need for you to read any further. Go on trusting them and their advice for drugs, vaccines, and food. Just make sure your estate is in order, as it has been widely shown that following the FDA's advice leads to shortened lifespans. If, on the other hand, you understand that the FDA is simply the marketing branch for Big Pharma and Big Food, which looks out for THEIR best interests and how to maximize profits, and that it is almost always wise to do the exact OPPOSITE of what the FDA recommends, then read on. I have thoroughly researched this claim, and as far as I can see this (dis)information originates from a single article published on Epoch Times by Mary Gillis. I have searched the FDA website to find the most current news and rulings on this issue of deadly trans fats, and there is nothing on the FDA's website about "banning" trans fats. In fact, they still allowed it in small quantities for edible oils, and the food manufacturers do not have to list them on their labels as long as they are below the "accepted" limits the FDA has determined are allowable for poisons in foods. Trans fats are toxic byproducts produced by hydrogenating polyunsaturated oils, such as vegetable oils derived from soybeans and corn, two subsidized cash crops in the U.S. that were only used to extract oil from after WW II and the development of seed "expeller-pressed" technology. Prior to WW II, these "dietary" oils did not exist in the human food chain. What we had instead were the traditional fats and oils that nourished our ancestors: Saturated Fats. They are found in animal sources, such as lard, tallow, and butter, and also from vegetable sources such as coconut and palm "oil". These are known as the "tropical oils", as in their native environment in the tropical countries they tend to stay liquid at room temperature, but are mostly solid (fats) in northern climates, such as North America and Europe. When the Japanese cut off the shipping lanes from the tropical countries to the U.S. and Europe during WW II, American food processors began hydrogenating polyunsaturated oils like corn and soy to make then mimic saturated fats. Years later, it was determined that the byproducts from these hydrogenated oils were toxic and disease-causing, and many nations started banning them. The rational thing to do would have been for the U.S. Government to reverse their harmful "low-fat" diet advice and only promote polyunsaturated oils as "healthy", and return to the traditional saturated fats that our ancestors grew up consuming. But no, that could never be, as it would take away corporate profits at the expense of having healthier fats and oils benefit Americans' health. It would also remove their main motive to promote cholesterol-lowering drugs, as they need to demonize saturated fats by scaring everyone that if they consume them, they will have high cholesterol that leads to heart disease, the "lipid theory" of heart disease that has been widely debunked in the scientific literature. The Globalists know that traditional saturated fats are healthy: they just don't want YOU to know, because it decreases their profits in Big Pharma and Big Food. However, since the early 1930s it has been known that a diet high in saturated fat is not only NOT unhealthy, but it can actually cure disease.

Vaccines to Treat Alzheimer’s Disease? Virgin Coconut Oil Already Heals Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Big Pharma has been attempting to cash in on the huge number of older Americans suffering from Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and other forms of dementia for decades now, but the number of older Americans suffering from dementia just continues to increase. That's because AD is a form of diabetes, often referred to as "Type 3" diabetes, and is largely caused by older Americans taking too many drugs, prescription pharmaceutical drugs. The latest news to increase American senior's addiction to prescription drugs is a "vaccine" that is being developed to inject into seniors who have AD. Well for those who bow the knee to worship Big Pharma, I suppose there will be a market for this kind of insanity for those who believe that health can come from being injected with chemicals through a needle. The sad thing about dementia and AD is that thousands of people have already seen great success by using Virgin Coconut Oil, especially in conjunction with a ketogenic type of diet, including seeing a total reversal of AD. I have been documenting this and publishing testimonials from those who have reversed AD for almost 2 decades now. The research and testimonials are all published on our CoconutOil.com website. If you are in charge of caring for someone who suffers from AD or other forms of dementia, please take time to research this censored, life-saving information that could dramatically change your life and the lives of those you care for who may be suffering needlessly as victims of Big Pharma. I have published an eBook that talks about Virgin Coconut Oil and AD, and I am offering it to the public for free in my Healthy Traditions store.

Study: Virgin Coconut Oil Protects Neuronal Damage and Mortality after a Stroke Incidence

Researchers from Japan and the Philippines have just published a new study conducted on "stroke-prone" hypertensive rats that indicate Virgin Coconut Oil can help prevent neuronal damage and deaths due to strokes. Given the fact that we have seen an astounding 100,000% increase in strokes recorded in VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System) following COVID-19 vaccines, this is good news for those seeking to minimize or reverse the effects of COVID-19 vaccines.

Another Phase 3 Trial Failure to Develop an Alzheimer’s Drug Shows Why Virgin Coconut Oil is Needed to Prevent Dementia

After more than a decade of failed drug trials and $billions lost in research to try and bring an Alzheimer's drug to market, maybe the pharmaceutical industry is finally ready to admit that they don't really understand what causes Alzheimer's disease. It was announced earlier this week that Roche had failed for the second time to develop a successful Alzheimer's drug. I have been reporting on the failure of Big Pharma to produce an Alzheimer's drug for over a decade now, along with publishing numerous testimonies of how many people have reversed the effects of Alzheimer's and dementia by using Virgin Coconut Oil in their diet, especially if it is part of an overall ketogenic diet which emphasizes healthy high fats, moderate levels of protein, and small amounts of carbohydrates. There is strong evidence that one of the main contributing factors for Alzheimer’s Disease is a diet too low in fats and excessive pharmaceutical drugs. The low-fat dietary advice, and the demonization of cholesterol, has led to poor health and the development of worthless and harmful statin drugs. The data and evidence on the health benefits of coconut oil and the ketogenic diet are overwhelming today, not only for Alzheimer’s Disease, but for a whole host of other diseases as well. I have also written a booklet that not only covers the research and testimonials on how Virgin Coconut Oil has helped so many people with Alzheimer's and dementia, but also includes dietary advice on how to include coconut oil into one's diet and other tips on Holistic Geriatric Care. I am offering this booklet to the public for free....

FDA Approves Non-effective New Alzheimer’s Drug Despite Their Own Doctors Recommending AGAINST It

Big Pharma has been trying to create a blockbuster drug for the very lucrative Alzheimer's Disease market for more than a decade. But they have repeatedly failed, mainly because they start with the wrong presuppositions on the cause of Alzheimer's, basing it on "genetics" instead of environmental causes. The over 55 age population has always been a cash cow for Big Pharma, as the most profitable drug of all time was Pfizer's Lipitor, a statin drug that artificially lowers one's cholesterol. Prior to its patent expiring at the end of 2011, no other drug in human history had racked up more sales than this one single drug, as their advertising campaign against cholesterol resulted in doctors placing nearly one out of every four people over the age of 55 on statin drugs to lower their cholesterol. But 25% of our body's cholesterol resides in our brains, so there have been honest researchers over the years, such as Dr. Stephanie Seneff at MIT, who have linked low cholesterol to a rise in Alzheimer's Disease. And so it is no surprise that coconut oil, demonized by Big Pharma, the USDA, the FDA and just about every other regulatory agency in the U.S. since the 1970s, can provide dramatic improvement to Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia, often with dramatic results. See our body of research provided over the years on coconut oil, along with amazingly dramatic testimonials for curing Alzheimer's at CoconutOil.com. We have covered all the previous failures of Big Pharma to produce a drug to treat Alzheimer's over the years, but just this week the FDA finally approved a drug for the treatment Alzheimer's Disease. But as reporter Andrew Joseph of Stat News writes, the FDA did so in spite of the fact that their own 11 doctor expert panel had 10 of those doctors state that "there was not enough evidence to show it could slow cognitive decline," and the 11th doctor voted “uncertain.” And now one of those doctors, Neurologist Joel Perlmutter of Washington University in St. Louis, has resigned.

Study: Virgin Coconut Oil Effective in Reducing COVID Symptoms

Dr. Imelda Angeles-Agdeppa, the director of the Department of Science and Technology’s Food and Nutrition Research Institute in the Philippines, was recently interviewed by CNN-Philippines about a study she led comparing COVID patients who ate a regular hospital diet, with patients who ate the exact same diet but supplemented with Virgin Coconut Oil, according to their body weight. She reported that at the end of 28 days, all of the patients who received the Virgin Coconut Oil supplementation exhibited no more symptoms of COVID-19. This is an interesting study, because the results depended upon COVID symptoms, and not faulty PCR test results, such as those that were used for the COVID mRNA vaccine trials.

New Research on Coconut Oil Focuses on Replacing Antibiotics to Combat Antibiotic-resistant Pathogens

Coconut oil is nature's richest source of lauric acid, long known to be a powerful antimicrobial. As a saturated fat, coconut oil is almost 50% lauric acid. Nature's next most abundant source of lauric acid, human breast milk, comes in a distant second. For years now, research (primarily outside of the U.S.) on coconut oil has focused on the use of lauric acid as an adjunct or replacement for antibiotic drugs that have lost their effectiveness due to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant pathogens. 2019 has seen more studies published where coconut oil is studied in this context: how to deal with the emergence of antibiotic resistant pathogens, and the decreasing effectiveness of antibiotic drugs. A Japanese study published in the journal Cell Transplant was especially promising, as it showed that lauric acid could potentially be used as a broad spectrum anti-microbiological agent without disrupting the "good bacteria" in the human gut microbiota.

Virgin Coconut Oil Supplementation Improves Diabetic Related Kidney Dysfunction

With Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) on the rise, and its clear relationship to unmanaged blood sugar and blood pressure unquestioned, virgin coconut oil is proving a valuable addition to the fight with ameliorate kidney function parameters in suffers of CKD and can even be protective for those at risk for the disease. Lowering your risk for kidney dysfunction rests largely on lifestyle changes, but for change to occur in something so entrenched as an individual’s lifestyle, there is a need for impetus, and despite the fact that over 37 million people in the US alone are estimated to have CKD, many of those are completely unaware of the slippery slope they are currently on or headed towards. It’s interesting that virgin coconut oil, which is often a prominent part of a healthy ketogenic diet, also shows promise in studies as a potential therapy in the treatment and prevention of kidney dysfunction. Perhaps the only thing standing in the way of discovering the full benefits of virgin coconut oil in the treatment of chronic kidney disease and fully embracing it, is our society's ingrained acceptance of long held and poorly supported nutritional doctrine. Luckily in the cases of kidney function and diabetes, science is confirming that there is hope to be found in change… and that a couple of tablespoons of virgin coconut oil consumed daily may be just the place to start.

The Health Benefits of Topical Virgin Coconut Oil for Preterm Infants – Studies Show Why You want to Massage Your Newborn Baby with Coconut Oil

Most of us who have reached maturity take our body's largest organ at face value, spending a staggering $300 billion on anti-aging globally and approximately $400 million U.S. dollars yearly on over-the counter acne solutions to put on a pretty face. But for the newest and most vulnerable among us, preterm and full-term infants, healthy skin is critical to their very survival, and here is where researchers think virgin coconut oil may be a major contributor in the fight to lower preterm infant mortality. Complications arising from preterm births are the leading cause of death globally for children under the age of five, according to the World Health Organization.

Study: Virgin Coconut Oil has Anti-inflammatory and Skin Protective Properties

Many who have used coconut oil for their skin and hair rave about its positive effects. Many testimonials to the powerful healing properties of virgin coconut oil for skin conditions have been published here at CoconutOil.com over the years. People have testified to virgin coconut oil healing fungal skin infections, acne, eczema, keratosis polaris, psoriasis, rosacea, and more. But exactly how virgin coconut oil is so beneficial for applying on one's skin has rarely, if ever, been thoroughly analyzed on a chemical and cellular level. That’s no longer the case, as a new study has recently determined what goes on biochemically within the skin’s cellular and genetic composition when using virgin coconut oil on one’s skin. This report, In vitro anti-inflammatory and skin protective properties of Virgin coconut oil, was published by the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine in January, 2019.

Study: Virgin Coconut Oil Reduces Effects of Aluminium Chloride-induced Alzheimer’s

Another study has been published here in 2018 looking at the positive effects of virgin coconut oil for Alzheimer's disease. This is the third peer-reviewed study we have covered so far in 2018 looking at the effects of coconut oil on Alzheimer's Disease (AD). This latest study is titled "Possible prophylactic anti-excitotoxic and anti-oxidant effects of virgin coconut oil on aluminium chloride-induced Alzheimer's in rat models." It was published July 13, 2018, in the "Journal of Integrative Neuroscience." The study was conducted by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. This year's previous studies on AD and coconut oil were also conducted outside of the U.S. (Japan and Iran.) This study is significant, because it addresses the issue of aluminum toxicity, which has been increasingly linked to AD. (See: Study: High Amounts of Aluminum in Brains of Alzheimer’s Patients.) From the study abstract: "Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects an estimated 5.4 million people worldwide. However, there remains no curative treatment for the condition. Aβ and hyperphosphorylated tau accumulation are the main hallmarks of the disease; they interfere with glutamate uptake and mediate glutamate excitotoxicity, oxidative stress, inflammation and neurodegeneration. As virgin coconut oil (VCO) is well-known as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory natural compound, the purpose of the present study was to assess the possible prophylactic effect of VCO on aluminium chloride (AlCl3)- induced AD in rat."

Study: Virgin Coconut Oil Reduces Aβ Plaques, Inflammation, and Oxidative Stress Associated with Alzheimer’s Disease

A study published in August 2018 in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology confirms what many people have already discovered: coconut oil can improve or even reverse the effects of Alzheimer's Disease. This is believed to be the first peer-reviewed study to examine coconut oil's effect on Alzheimer's Disease. The title of the study is "Virgin coconut oil (VCO) by normalizing NLRP3 inflammasome showed potential neuroprotective effects in Amyloid-β induced toxicity and high-fat diet fed rat." Researchers from Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences and Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in Iran used rats in a laboratory to study "the effects of virgin coconut oil (VCO) on inflammasome and oxidative stress in an Alzheimer's model." Their study found that the rats fed VCO "improved hippocampus histological changes, reduced Aβ plaques and phosphorylated Tau." (Phosphorylated Tau is a biological marker for Alzheimer's Disease.) They concluded that virgin coconut oil "showed potential neuroprotective effects." From the study conclusion: "Virgin Coconut Oil improves the health of the hippocampus and improves memory and learning in Alzheimer and HFD model rats by inhibiting inflammasome and reducing oxidative stress."

Study: Antioxidants in Virgin Coconut Oil Counteract Environmental Pollutants and Improve Cardiovascular Health

A new study published in Avicenna Journal of Phytomedicine sheds further light on how coconut oil, virgin coconut oil in particular, enhances cardiovascular health, in direct contradiction to the U.S. government claims that coconut oil leads to heart disease. As is to be expected, much of the research published in peer-reviewed journals showing that coconut oil enhances heart health in recent years has been conducted outside the U.S., in tropical cultures where coconuts grow. These countries are finding out for themselves that they have been misled by U.S. policy that condemns their native diets which includes coconuts and coconut oil. This current study conducted in Nigeria looked at the pathogenic role of cadmium (Cd) and its exposure in the induction of dyslipidemia implicated in the development and increasing incidence of cardiovascular diseases, and explored whether polyphenolics isolated from virgin coconut oil (VCO) could prevent Cd-induced dyslipidemia. The researchers concluded: "The co-administration of VCO polyphenol with Cd remarkably restored lipid profile and cardiovascular risk ratios and stabilized antioxidant defense systems comparable to control group. This is the first study presenting that polyphenols isolated from VCO prevent Cd-induced lipid abnormalities and cardiovascular risk ratios by improving antioxidant defense systems."

New Coconut Oil Studies: Antioxidant Effects Protect Liver and Kidneys – Reverses Effects of Chemotherapy

New research from Nigeria shows how virgin coconut oil can have protective health benefits due to its high amounts of antioxidants. One study looked at the effect of virgin coconut oil when supplemented in a diet high in consumption of heated vegetable oils, and how virgin coconut oil protected the liver and kidneys, and the other study looked at how virgin coconut oil can reverse the free radical damage done by cancer chemotherapy drugs. Virgin coconut oil, depending on how it is processed, is much higher in antioxidants than refined mass-produced coconut oils. It is not surprising that scientists and researchers in Africa are exploring the benefits of coconut oil, which is native to many tropical African countries, after being deceived for many years by western thinking that coconut oil is harmful due to it being a highly saturated fat.

Study: Coconut Oil Reverses Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is defined medically as macrovesicular steatosis, or abnormal retention of lipids (fats) sufficient and large enough to distort or replace the nuclei of liver cells among those who consume less than 20 grams (.7 ounces) of alcohol per day. NAFLD, unknown prior to 1980, has become our largest liver health issue nationally and throughout most industrialized nations. Fatty liver disease affects metabolism and usually manifests as obesity and insulin resistance, which are direct co-factors for type 2 diabetes. It can also progress to inflammation of the liver, or non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), leading to cirrhosis. Ironically, a saturated fat (virgin coconut oil) may prove to be the safest and most effective treatment for NAFLD according to a study published recently (September 2017) in the Journal of the Science and Agriculture of Food. The study, “Virgin coconut oil reverses hepatic steatosis by restoring redox homeostasis and lipid metabolism in male Wistar rats,” noted in its background statement that more nutraceutical offerings are being sought for reversing fatty liver disease. The researchers also noted that earlier studies had demonstrated virgin coconut oil could help prevent NAFLD. This new study intended to see if virgin coconut oil could also reverse existing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Another Study Showing Virgin Coconut Oil Heart Healthy Contradicting AHA Propaganda

Another peer-reviewed study was published this month (August 2017) showing dietary virgin coconut oil has beneficial heart-health effects regarding lipid profile, renal status, hepatic antioxidant defense system, and cardiovascular risks. The study was conducted by researchers in Nigeria in the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, at Federal University. The title of the study is: Dietary Supplementation with Virgin Coconut Oil Improves Lipid Profile and Hepatic Antioxidant Status and Has Potential Benefits on Cardiovascular Risk Indices in Normal Rats. This new study and many other previous studies clearly contradict the propaganda espoused by Big Pharma and the U.S. Government dietary advice, which has been waging a war against saturated fats since the 1970s and the McGovern Report that promoted the false hypothesis that saturated fats led to an increase in lipid cholesterol levels and an increased risk for heart disease. This theory, the lipid theory of heart disease, has been shown to be false repeatedly by the published medical literature, yet it still remains the official USDA dietary advice.

Study: Antioxidant Activities of Virgin Coconut Oil Useful in Reducing Harm of Chemotherapy

The health ramifications of virgin coconut oil keep surfacing from international studies without much coverage from mainstream media health or food sections. Fortunately, Health Impact News and their CoconutOil.com website is the leading authority today on the health benefits of coconut oil, keeping you up-to-date on all the published research about coconut oil you will never read in the mainstream corporate media. There has been a lot of text and talk about the wonders of coconut oil’s medium chain fatty acids and how they benefit the brain by producing ketones for brain cells’ functional nutrition. Ketones can even reverse Alzheimer’s disease. Of course, the pharmaceutical industry and their support of the mainstream media would like to keep that information from being known. There are even folks losing weight with high-fat ketogenic dieting, which includes the saturated fat coconut oil and other whole unadulterated healthy fats, to debunk the unscientific dogma of saturated fats as responsible for obesity. Many studies have demonstrated coconut oil’s antifungal and antibacterial capabilities as well. Now we have coconut oil demonstrating powerful antioxidant potential, even powerful enough for reducing the biological stress of chemotherapy. Here are two new studies that point this out.

Is Virgin Coconut Oil the Future in Natural Medicine for Skin Conditions?

There are several testimonials by people using virgin coconut oil (VCO) for improving scalp conditions, hair, and skin issues. But it’s doubtful that a certified dermatologist would recommend that for most skin issues. It’s more likely that an external skin condition known as atopic dermatitis (AD), which causes excess dryness, inflammation, and pruritus (itching) will be prescribed a corticosteroid cream to apply topically. The University of Central Florida Medical School offered a paper published early in 2017 titled “Coconut oil: The future of atopic dermatitis treatment?” Overall, VCO appears to be an emerging treatment for AD due to its safety and ability to both combat the suggested pathogenesis of AD and provide clinical improvement. More extensive trials that comprehensively examine the positive and negative effects of treating AD with VCO are indicated.

Study: Coconut Oil Improves Memory and Brain Function

There are many empirical episodes of improving memory and slowing or reversing dementia with coconut oil that are dismissed as “anecdotal.” Fortunately there are increasing scientific studies that corroborate the many remarkable testimonies of recovering from dementia to perhaps convince naysayers of coconut oil’s health and healing properties. The in-vivo (animal) study “Enhanced memory in Wistar rats by virgin coconut oil is associated with increased antioxidative, cholinergic activities and reduced oxidative stress” was published in January of 2017. The research paper stated as part of its findings: "The promising outcomes of this study strongly imply the possible use of VCO, not only as neuroprotective agents for those suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, but also as brain food." A Canadian study published this year around the same time titled “Coconut oil protects cortical neurons from amyloid beta toxicity by enhancing signaling of cell survival pathways” observed that coconut oil and its medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs) protect against amyloid beta (Aβ) induced neurotoxicity in primary rat cortical neurons.
