Doctors Who Claim Osteoporosis is Scurvy of the Bones – Vitamin C Supplementation Needed not Calcium

Osteoporosis is a bone-weakening disease caused by an inability to produce bone mass after bone cells die off naturally. This renders bones so brittle they can be broken by minor falls or even sudden harsh coughs. As our population ages, the conditions that create osteoporosis increase. Pharma-controlled mainstream medicine offers prescription drug bisphosphonates, such as Alendronate (Fosamax) Risedronate (Actonel, Atelvia) Ibandronate (Boniva) Zoledronic acid (Reclast). These drugs create even more brittle bones that break under normal loads. Dr. Thomas Levy, MD, PhD, is a board-certified cardiologist and vitamin C expert with a long history of administering mega-dose IV vitamin C treatments for various ailments, including cancer. He has also authored several iconoclastic books, including Death by Calcium. He states unequivocally: "While osteoporotic bone is certainly very deficient in calcium, the administration of calcium does not resolve or improve this disease, not even a little. Osteoporosis is a focal scurvy of the bones, and a restoration of an appropriate balance of antioxidants, lead by vitamin C, is essential to the reversal of this disease and the subsequent growth of new, healthy bone. Appropriate mineral intake is also essential for the optimal function of these antioxidants in the bone."

Therapeutic Value of Vitamin C Now Linked to Cancer Treatment

A recent series of studies reported by Science Magazine online indicated the need to further research mega-dose vitamin C, usually delivered intravenously, as an adjunct for cancer treatments with normal treatment resistance due to KRAS or BRAF gene mutations. Half or more colorectal (colon), lung, and ovarian cancer cells contain those mutated genes that manage to repel chemotherapeutic attempts at targeting them. The laboratory and animal studies convinced researchers that there is potential for at least applying mega-dose vitamin C therapy with conventional chemotherapy to lead the charge at disabling those genes. This was a mainstream medical research endeavor, not an alternative treatment study. But some oncologists lauded the study and feel compelled to start using mega-dose vitamin C therapies on cancer patients with conventional oncology's “standard of care” chemotherapy.

Vaccine Induced Scurvy and Shaken Baby Syndrome

Most people, including babies, have only marginal reserves of vitamin C. Injections of vaccines containing a great number of toxic substances, such as formaldehyde, mercury and aluminium compounds, as preservatives and adjuvants, and foreign proteins (antigens) are the primary and documented cause of harmful immune response anaphylaxis. Depletion of vitamin C reserves was linked to vaccination by Pekarek and Rezabek (1959) who demonstrated that when the rats are injected with pertussis vaccine, they develop an acute scurvy. The difference between rats and human babies is in that the rats produce their own vitamin C and recover fast, unlike the humans who do not. While it is not surprising that scurvy still occurs in the twenty first century, it is surprising that modern doctors generally fail to recognize it. Simple administration of sufficient doses of sodium ascorbate (a non acidic form of vitamin C) would save a very large number of premature deaths as demonstrated by Levy (2012) in his article "Vitamin C prevents vaccination side effects." Instead, tens of thousands of innocent parents and other care givers are serving long prison terms and being accused of Shaken Baby Syndrome, a non-existent invalid syndrome that in many cases can be directly related to vitamin C deficiency and scurvy.
