The highest rates are reported among those aged between 18 and 25. However, not only is there evidence that depression is vastly overdiagnosed, but there's also evidence showing it's routinely mistreated.

Multiple Merck products caused severe harm, including deaths; these include: the arthritis drug Indocin® (1960s); the widely prescribed drug for pregnant women, diethylstilbestrol (DES)® drug that caused women vaginal cancer (1970s); Vioxx®, the painkiller prescribed for arthritis (1999-2004) caused, 140,000 heart attacks and an estimated30 to 60,000 deaths. Merck paid $4.85 Billion to settle Vioxx lawsuits. Another controversial drug is Fosamax® prescribed for osteoporosis (1990s) which causes osteonecrosis of the jaw and thighbone fractures; Januvia® , linked to pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and severe joint pain. Big Tech Wants to Replace Medical Doctors and Squelch Alternative Health
The September newsletter of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is sounding the warning about Big Tech's plans to take over medical care as Americans increasingly turn over their privacy for the sake of convenience. Dr. Alexa, the virtual assistant in Amazon smart speakers, is already able to perform certain health-related tasks. “She” can track blood glucose levels, describe symptoms, access post-surgical care instructions, monitor home prescription deliveries, and make appointments at an urgent care center. Amazon has big ambitions. It thinks Alexa could help doctors diagnose mental illness, autism, concussions, and Parkinson disease. Big Tech giants such as Google are set to block all “alternative” medicine websites such as NaturalNews.com. They will not only be eliminated from search results, but within a year or so, the Google Chrome browser won’t even allow a user to visit a disapproved site—say one that is skeptical about vaccines, chemotherapy, or statin drugs—without changing the browser’s default settings. The Trump Administration is reportedly considering a proposal to use Google, Amazon Echo, and Apple Watch to collect data on users who exhibit characteristics of mental illness that could lead to violent behavior. This is part of the initiative to create a Health Advanced Research Project Agency (HARPA), which got a renewed push after August shootings in El Paso and Dayton.
Chinese-American Family in Nebraska Destroyed as Teenage Daughters Medically Kidnapped and Sex Trafficked by CPS
They were Chinese medical scholars continuing their education and careers in the U.S. Yang Wang, who upon obtaining her U.S. citizenship changed her name to Catherine Anderson to have an easier name for Americans to pronounce, graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai, one of the top universities in China, and reportedly harder to gain entrance than Harvard University in the U.S. Her husband, whose last name is also "Wang" but unrelated outside of marriage, graduated from one of the top medical schools in China, Capital Medical University in Beijing. They obtained student visas to continue their education in the U.S. Catherine went on to obtain two Masters degrees, one as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from Maryland, and another one as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her husband obtained his Nebraska physician license when he started his residency in Creighton Medical School in the Pathology Department, and became the Chief resident and was retained as a faculty member at Creighton after his graduation. Two beautiful daughters were born to them while residing in Nebraska. Both went on to become honor students in high school, ranking number 1 in their classes, following in their parents footsteps to achieve academic excellence and preparing for college at the age of 14. Unbeknownst to them, tragically, they had settled in a part of the U.S. that is known for one the largest child sex trafficking scandals ever uncovered and then buried in U.S. history: the Franklin Cover-up story centered around Boys Town. Catherine learned that her oldest daughter was developing an unhealthy relationship with one of her male high school teachers outside of class, and eventually learned that this teacher was "counseling" her on "sexual identity issues." After finding inappropriate text messages on her daughter's phone, she reported the teacher to law enforcement. What followed next is every parent's worst nightmare. Instead of investigating the teacher, Catherine became the focus of investigation, and not only did Nebraska CPS take custody of her older daughter who was then 16, but they seized her younger 15-year-old daughter as well, against the wish of the younger daughter who had no complaints against her mother and wanted to stay home where she felt safe. The tragic story that follows is a story about how one mother fought as hard as she could to get her daughters back, not realizing in the beginning that she was fighting an apparent child sex trafficking ring that allegedly brings in more money to the state of Nebraska than any other business. She has spent more than a quarter of a million dollars in legal fees fighting for her daughters, and has had her career destroyed. Her youngest daughter went from honor roll high school student preparing for college to being forced into a life of prostitution and being sexually trafficked, while every government agency she contracted to try and end this nightmare just stood by and watched. Dr. Meryl Nass: Why are Legislatures Imposing Vaccine Mandates Now?
I am a veteran of the vaccine war in the US, and today I feel compelled to speak about what I saw in that war. Legislators were forced to change their votes to revoke vaccine exemptions and rescind the historic right to consent to medical procedures. The vaccine war is a dirty war, in which platitudes about protecting the most vulnerable are invoked by the same pharmaceutical companies that paid $2.7 billion in criminal penalties in the US between 2012 and 2015. The vaccine industry generates enormous profits (estimated 10-40%), benefits from a government-guaranteed market, and receives almost total liability protection. No other industry can rival these benefits. Let me add context to this discussion by noting that in 2014, the NY Times said it cost $2200 to fully vaccinate one child. At that price, it cost $163 billion dollars to fully vaccinate every US child. Vaccine mandates guarantee a vaccine market, now and in the future. Mandates put in place today will enforce the uptake of vaccines on the currently required list, plus other vaccines yet to be added.
Big Pharma Reeling Over Opioid Criminal Charges – Why Would we Trust These Companies to Produce Safe Vaccines?

Purdue Pharma is trying to file for bankruptcy to avoid more legal litigation, and Johnson and Johnson is facing serious charges of criminal intent over OxyContin. Johnson and Johnson was also just convicted of including asbestos in its popular baby powder product. This raises the question as to why the public is asked to believe that one class of pharmaceutical products is supposedly immune from the criminal intentions of Big Pharma, as they claim that these products are completely "safe and effective": vaccines.
Forced Vaccination and Nonviolent Civil Disobedience
There they were, quietly standing with arms locked on a street next to the California state Capitol building on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 and refusing to move: a grandmother and two young mothers. Carol, Lisa and Lauren were there with other parents to beg the California legislature to show mercy and allow enlightened doctors with a conscience to grant vaccine injured and vaccine vulnerable children a medical exemption to vaccination that cannot be taken away by government officials. Standing there with sadness and fear of the unknown in their eyes, they were surrounded by parents speaking words of comfort, while others shouted to the legislators inside to “oppose SB 276” and “you are not representing California for all.” Then someone started singing “Amazing Grace,” while mothers pushing strollers held their children in their arms and watched armed policemen from the California Highway Patrol form a circle around them. As I witnessed from Virginia on live video streaming the events unfolding in California 3,000 miles away, my heart was breaking for the pain and anxiety I could see in the faces of those women, who were taking an action that they never dreamed they would have to take. I knew that the love, which compels mothers to sacrifice everything to protect their children, outweighed their fear of what would happen to them if they did not move. And as the patrolmen gently approached and handcuffed mothers, who were courageously protesting an abusive law that would make all doctors agents of the state, I knew that the vaccine safety and informed consent movement launched in America in 1982 by parents of DPT vaccine injured children had entered a new era. The three mothers in California, who were arrested for refusing to move out of a street near a building where legislators were passing a law that will harm their children were the first, but will not be the last, to stand their ground against forced vaccination laws in America. The revolution to end medical tyranny and forced vaccination through civil disobedience has just begun. It is a peaceful revolution to restore respect for human rights and civil liberties, driven by the love that mothers and fathers have for their children, and it is long overdue.
Michigan Law Professor: “The United States Destroys More Families than any other Country in the World”
Vivek Sankaran is a clinical professor of law at the University of Michigan Law School, and he directs both the Child Advocacy Law Clinic and the Child Welfare Appellate Clinic, through which law students represent children and parents in trial and appellate proceedings. Professor Sankaran understands the failures of today's foster care system better than most people in the U.S. do, and he has written: "The United States destroys more families than any other country in the world. While our Supreme Court has recognized that a parent’s right to care for her child is one of the oldest and most fundamental rights recognized by our Constitution, our federal child welfare policy is centered on the destruction of families."
Finnish Citizens Conduct Own Vaccine Safety Study and Question Health Authorities Letting 12-Year-Olds Make Own Decisions About HPV Vaccine without Parental Consent
A support group comprised of vaccine-injured and their families in Finland circulated an internet-based questionnaire to find out if there could be an association between vaccinations and healthy children or adolescents/adults falling ill. Once the results were compiled and analyzed, it was impossible for them to find a medical professional willing to help them get the results published in a peer-reviewed medical journal. They contacted academics from their own country and abroad. All of those contacts agreed that the study has been conducted well and that it deserved to be published, but none of them were willing to co-author the manuscript because of the controversial nature of the topic. In other words, they were afraid of being bullied and losing their position. "How ethical is it to give the HPV-vaccine without informed consent and to advertise it is safe and effective and leave the decision to 12 years old girls?"
Do Cholesterol-lowering Statin Drugs Really Work? Who Benefits? Who Has the Power to Cover Up the Side Effects?
For decades, the medical establishment in the U.S., Canada, and the UK has promoted statin drugs for an ever increasing population. Concomitantly, public health officials have advocated a low fat high carbohydrate diet, and the replacement of saturated fat with polyunsaturated fats. By following this regimen, the medical “authorities” claimed, will prevent heart disease. Nobel Prize winners Dr. Michael Brown and Dr. Joseph Goldstein who discovered the central role that blood cholesterol played in the development of heart disease, prompted the pharmaceutical industry to develop statins. Although the scientists’ prediction that heart disease will have disappeared by the beginning of the 21st century, was decidedly wrong, the manufacturers of statins have profited beyond expectations – even though the drugs have not reduced heart disease. Like so many flawed, but widely recommended medical regimens, this one is not about improving public health. Independent physicians who are not industry lackeys agree that cardiovascular disease are likely to be preventable through modifying the diet by lower sugar and carbohydrates, increased exercise, and eliminating tobacco use. But healthy lifestyle regimens don’t generate billions of dollars!
DC School Warns Parents they’ll call CPS if You’re Late to Pick Up Your Children After School
As we have frequently reported here at Health Impact News over the years, very few children in the U.S. seized by Child Protective Services are taken because they are being abused. Frequently, the threat of having children taken away from their families by CPS is used as a weapon to coerce parents. Recently a school district in Pennsylvania received media attention for threatening parents who were late in paying their school lunch fees of being reported to CPS and possibly losing their children. Now, another report out of Washington D.C. shows how one school threatened parents who did not show on time to pick up their children from school with being reported to CPS.
September Government Report Shows $206 Million Paid so far in 2019 for Vaccine Injuries and Deaths
The federal government Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services just concluded their third meeting of 2019 on September 6th. These quarterly meetings include a report from the Department of Justice (DOJ) on cases settled for vaccine injuries and deaths as mandated by the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP). The September 2019 report can be found here. The NVICP was started as a result of a law passed in 1986 that gave pharmaceutical companies legal immunity from being sued due to injuries and deaths resulting from vaccines. So far in 2019 the NVICP has paid out $206,295,187.00 in damages due to vaccine injuries and deaths. This is public information, but it is not covered in the corporate "mainstream" media. As far as we know, Health Impact News is the only media source that publishes these DOJ reports on vaccine injuries and deaths each quarter. In fact, by publishing these government reports, we are accused of publishing "fake news," even though all the facts we are publishing here come from government-funded reports.
Award-Winning Pro-Vaccine California Pediatrician Appeals to Gov. Newsom to Preserve Doctor-Patient Relationship
Dear Governor Newsom, My name is Dr. Dane Fliedner, and I am a board certified, California-licensed pediatrician in Orange County. In addition to my medical training, I also hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health and at one point in my career was considering a career in Maternal-Child Public Health, interning at the OC Health Department and traveling to Sacramento with the local health officer to learn about the advocacy aspect of public health. I was one of the earliest recipients of Medical Board of California Service awards for my work in an under-served community. Since that time, I have also worked in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and have seen first-hand the devastation that severe bacterial infections can have on small children. I mention all of these things so that you are very clear that I am not against vaccines. I administer them daily in my pediatric practice and my own children are vaccinated and are not vaccine-injured. I know you are receiving many letters, including from physicians, but wanted to share an aspect of SB277 and now SB276/714 that you may not have considered—and that is the fact that these bills have created a climate of fear and anxiety. There are many physicians in practice that have been afraid to speak up for fear of retribution, of being targeted by the state, for public censure and loss of professional respect for speaking up regarding these laws—because that is what we often observe happening from what appears to be vindictive agendas by those in power against anyone who dares speak up.
Is the Franklin Cover-up Scandal of Child Sex-Trafficking in Boys Town, Nebraska Still Happening Today?
In 1988, the raid and closure of the Franklin Federal Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska revealed a child sex trafficking ring, mainly boys and, later, girls from Boys Town, Nebraska, that included prominent members of society and government officials as the perpetrators. The investigation into the credit union and its General Manager, Larry King, ended with the arrest and conviction of Larry King for a forty million dollar fraud. Despite multiple investigations into the credit union, Larry King and Boys Town, one of the greatest cover-ups was not only successful, but resulted in the accusations made and corroborated by several witnesses as nothing more than a “hoax,” leading to multiple conspiracy theories. A documentary created in 1993 by a film crew from Yorkshire Television in the UK, went to Omaha, Nebraska to make a documentary about the alleged pedophile ring. Funding for the film was made by the Discovery Channel in the U.S.A. The documentary was set to air in Ireland and the UK as part of Yorkshire Television broadcast, “First Tuesday.” A US broadcast would follow. The documentary crew claims to have found a vast operation throughout the country, providing children to the wealthy and political establishment for molestation, drug trafficking and blackmail. A year later, in 1994, the documentary, “Conspiracy of Silence,” was complete and ready to air in the UK, but the Discovery Channel withdrew support and reimbursed Yorkshire Television the half million it cost to make. The documentary remains unaired till this day, although copies can be found on the Internet.
California Pediatrician Appeals to Governor Newsom to do the Right Thing and Preserve the Doctor Patient Relationship
Dear Honorable Governor Newsom, I am a California-licensed, board-certified, Stanford-, NYU, & UCSF-trained pediatrician. I am not anti-vax. I administer vaccines in my pediatric practice. I believe that vaccines can be effective at reducing the risk of vaccine-preventable diseases for MOST children. I believe that vaccines are safe for MOST children. But not for all… I am not a “hysterical anti-vaxxer.” I am not the mother of a vaccine-injured child. I am not an unethical doctor selling “fake” medical exemptions. I am not a bureaucrat or a politician. I am a pediatrician in the trenches. And I am unashamedly, unabashedly, and unequivocally PRO-CHILD. I believe in public health, yet I care for individual children and families who sit across from me everyday, trusting that I am giving them valid, scientific, evidence-based information that will keep their individual baby safe and healthy, and believing that I am providing them with true informed consent. I am a pediatrician trying to do the best I can for the children in my practice. And the best is not simply repeating that vaccines are “safe and effective.” Because they’re not 100% safe. Because they’re not 100% effective. Because parents are asking questions. And because we, as primary care physicians, need to be able to practice the art and science of medicine to the best of our abilities, for the child sitting in front of us, without bureaucratic handcuffs and fear of retribution. SB 276 continues to place the decision regarding an individual child’s vaccine risk/benefit assessment and whether or not that child qualifies for a vaccine medical exemption in the hands of the government. As clearly stated by Andrew Kroger M.D., M.P.H., Communications and Education Branch of the Immunization Service Division of the CDC: “It would be inappropriate for anyone other than the treating provider to determine who should be allowed to get a medically-necessary exemption.”
Investigation Reveals North Carolina CPS Took HUNDREDS of Children Away from Parents Illegally
“I’m sort of flabbergasted by it. It’s one of those situations where – very rarely am I speechless – I am absolutely speechless over it.” These were the words spoken by North Carolina District Attorney Ashley Welch, when reporter Kate Martin, writing for the Carolina Public Press, asked her to respond last week (August 2019) to news that an internal memo revealed that state officials knew that Cherokee County Department of Social Services was illegally removing children from their homes, before a civil lawsuit was filed in 2018 and before a request was made for a State Bureau of Investigation probe into the matter. In 2018, Associated Press reporters Mitch Weiss and Holbrook Mohr published an investigative report showing that Cherokee County Department of Social Services removed many children from their homes illegally, perhaps "hundreds."

Our Battle after Gardasil: 13 Year Old Girl’s Life Damaged
This story started when my daughter Chiara was 13 years old, now she is 18. She used to be a very good athlete with symptoms from Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with high levels of anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies. These were already known much before receiving the HPV vaccine. She was really a good athlete and Hashimoto’s did not stop her from participating in the World Championship Karate in Caorle where she had the first place twice. In 2010, she took the brown belt. Apart from Karate interest, Chiara’s other hobbies included painting, singing and practicing all kind of sports. That was Chiara’s profile before Gardasil. Six years have already passed since the Gardasil treatment and the strong headache, dizziness, osteochondritis, Hashimoto’s, articular and abdominal pains are still there. Moreover, she is still under a strict diet that prevents her from taking milk derivatives and food containing gluten. This is my daughter’s story and I wrote it to bring you about the injuries that Gardasil could cause.
