Arrested Doctor Deliberately Misdiagnosed Patients with Cancer for Profit
Dr. Farid Fata’s website for his Michigan Hematology Oncology practice promises the “Best Cancer Care – Anywhere.” But, U. S. Attorney Barbara McQuade says otherwise. Federal agents arrested the 48-year-old Oakland Township doctor at his Rochester Hills practice. McQuade says he’s charged with healthcare fraud for his role in a scheme to submit false claims to Medicare for treatments that were medically unnecessary. McQuade says the fraud scheme involves $35 million. Federal officials are alleging an even worse crime than cheating Medicare -- in their criminal complaint against Fata, FBI agents say “Dr. Fata directed the administration of unnecessary chemotherapy to patients in remission.” The feds say he also deliberately misdiagnosed patients “as having cancer to justify unnecessary cancer treatment.” Federal agents say Fata directed the “administration of chemotherapy to end-of-life patients who [would] not benefit from the treatment,” and deliberately misdiagnosed “patients without cancer to justify expensive testing.”

Study: HPV Vaccine Linked to Premature Menopause in Young Girls
Dr. Deirdre Little, a pediatrician in Australia, was the first one to sound the alarm over the HPV vaccine causing premature menopause when she observed it in one of her 16 year old patients in 2012. Dr. Little published a paper in the British Medical Journal warning that the premature menopause of a healthy 16-year-old girl may be linked to the Gardasil vaccination. Now a new study has just been recently published in American Journal of Reproductive Immunology documenting three more cases of "Primary Ovarian Failure," where three young girls stopped having periods and showed signs of menopause. The study confirms Dr. Little's experience, and was conducted in Israel and Italy. Sadly, this study and others that are conducted outside the U.S. receive no mention in the U.S. mainstream media. While Japan's Health Ministry recently stopped recommending the HPV vaccine due to so many documented injuries, it is continued to be promoted as safe in the U.S., and the push is now on to start giving it to infants.
How Can a Drug that Causes Leukemia, TB, and Listeria Remain on the Market?
In 1998, the FDA approved a new class of anti-inflammatory drugs called TNF-alpha blockers. The best-known drugs in this class are Enbrel and Humira, which are used to treat juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and other inflammatory diseases. But these drugs have dangerous side effects. In 2008, 2009, and 2011, the FDA determined that these drugs increase the risk of different—but all potentially fatal—infections and cancers, including tuberculosis and childhood leukemia. Despite all their well-documented dangers, as of 2013, TNF blockers remain on the market. The FDA has simply asked manufacturers of TNF blockers to let them know when someone got cancer—essentially taking a “wait and see” approach to a drug that has caused at least thirty-five deaths from cancer, at least fourteen deaths from Legionnaire’s Disease, and at least seven deaths from listeria infections. Over fifty people have died, and the FDA is still at the “information-gathering” stage.

FDA Approves a Dangerous New Antidepressant—for Hot Flashes!
The FDA has approved the first non-hormonal treatment for hot flashes associated with menopause. The drug is paroxetine mesylate (marketed as Brisdelle). Paroxetine, an SSRI, is the active ingredient in two drugs for depression and other psychiatric disorders, Paxil and Pexeva. What is not mentioned is that the FDA’s Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee voted 10 to 4 that the overall risk-benefit profile of the drug did not support approval—that the benefits over placebo were “minimal,” and that all of the severe side effects associated with SSRIs, such as suicidal thoughts and osteoporosis, outweigh the minor benefits.
