Alternative Health looks at alternative ways of treating illness apart from the medical system.
Grounding Helps Thin Dangerously Thick Blood and Fights Inflammation and Disease
When you walk barefoot, free electrons are transferred from the earth into your body, and this grounding effect is one of the most potent antioxidants we know of. Inflammation thrives when your blood is thick, and you have a lot of free radical stress, and a lot of positive charges in your body. Grounding effectively alleviates inflammation because it thins your blood and infuses you with negatively charged ions through the soles of your feet. Grounding helps thin your blood by improving its zeta potential, which means it improves the energy between your red blood cells. Research has demonstrated it takes about 80 minutes for the free electrons from the earth to reach your blood stream and transform your blood.
Research: Radiotherapy Causes Cancer, Blueberry Kills It
An important new study reveals both the abject failure of conventional radiation treatment for cancer, and the very real possibility that blueberries contain a curative compound far may be effective than anything modern cancer specialists have available to them today to strike at the very root of cancer malignancy.
Colon Cancer Reduced with Antioxidants
Colon cancer is the second leading cancer killer in the U.S. and colonoscopies are one of the most common medical procedures done today. A colonoscopy is performed in order to identify a growth or a polyp at an early stage so that it can be removed it before it becomes cancerous. Colonoscopies are one of the few preventive procedures in conventional medicine that actually improve mortality. A recent study looked at the efficacy of using antioxidants to prevent recurrent colonic polyps in patients who have undergone colonoscopic removal of polyps.

Genetic Research Lacks Science – Political Social Control is Genetics Agenda
Over the last twenty years, human genetic research has convinced the public that genetic factors often underlie disease and human behavior. Yet the genomic research project, which is one of the most expensive science programs ever conceived, has almost entirely failed to identify the important genes that geneticists predicted, or to account for the occurrence of human illness. Thus the BRCA1 equals breast cancer example, which remains the most cited example of a genetic contribution to common disease, plays a role in less than 10% of all breast cancer cases. This contrast between the hype of genetics and the meagre reality exposes, first a failure of geneticists to honestly report their results, and second a failure of the science media. It also brings into focus the disturbing historical fact that human disease genetics first attained prominence with money from the tobacco industry. The tobacco industry had decided it urgently needed to find alternative explanations for lung cancer and tobacco addiction that were capable of dissipating public opprobrium and derailing potential legal actions. Genetics research receives billions of dollars in government funding, and its agenda has become very clear. In the absence of solid scientific data, its is being used politically for social control and to protect invested interests such as the pharmaceutical industry. Genetics is NOT a blueprint for disease or intelligence, as the public has been misled to believe.
New Study Confirms Gingko Biloba Aids Stroke Recovery
A new study published in the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease confirms that extracts of one of the oldest plants in existence today, the 'living fossil' known as Gingko biloba, protects against stroke-related neurologic deficits in human subjects.
New Legislation Threatens Supplements!
Just as Congress is preparing to recess until the second week in September, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) reintroduced legislation that would deal a deadly blow to nutritional supplements. This bill is a naked new FDA power grab—an attempt to move us one step closer to a full FDA pre-approval system for supplements. That, of course, would just make supplements insanely expensive, like drugs—if you could get them at all.
600 Reasons Turmeric May Be The World’s Most Important Herb
There is a medicinal spice so timelessly interwoven with the origins of human culture and metabolism, so thoroughly supported by modern scientific inquiry, as to be unparalleled in its proven value to human health and well-being. Turmeric turns the entire drug-based medical model on its head. Instead of causing far more side effects than therapeutic ones, as is the case for most patented pharmaceutical medications. Turmeric possesses hundreds of potential side benefits, having been empirically demonstrated to positively modulate over 160 different physiological pathways in the mammalian body.
Compounds Used In Drugs To Treat Cancer Are Found Naturally In Over 30 Foods
Angiogenesis is the process of building new blood vessels and is inherently coordinated with building new tissue, but increased angiogenesis can also have a deadly side effect - a distinguishing characteristic of cancer growth. Some cancer treatments for halting the growth of cancer-feeding blood vessels have been successful in treating tumors. This term is known as anti-angiogenesis. Although several drugs have been incorporated with isolated anti-angiogenic compounds, there are more than 30 dietary sources of naturally-occurring anti-angiogenic substances. Foods with natural anti-angiogenic compounds do not have the serious side effects which are now being found in angiogenic drug inhibitors.
When Less Is More: The Buteyko Method of Reduced Breathing May Be a Cure for Asthma
In the 1950s, a young Russian doctor was suffering from chronic illness. He had only been given a few years to live due to chronic severe hypertension. As a result of patterns and relationships he observed in his own bouts of illness, he developed a method for treating asthma and other diseases through a series of breathing exercises. The young man was named Konstantin Pavlovich Buteyko, and his simple, free, innovative method for overcoming asthma, other lung diseases and many other chronic illnesses is called the Buteyko method or Buteyko Breathing Technique. The method has been approved by the Russian State Medical System, and today the Buteyko method is a significant part of the routine treatment protocol for chronic illness among conventional practitioners in Russia and Australia, as well as many alternative medical practitioners around the world.
Groundbreaking Study Finds Turmeric Extract Superior to Prozac for Depression
A new study published in the journal Phytotherapy Research has confirmed for the first time in a randomized, controlled clinical trial that the primary polyphenol in turmeric known as curcumin is both safe and effective in treating serious states of depression.
Dr. Burzynski’s Cancer Cure the FDA Tried to Suppress

Traditional Herbal Remedies Proven to Increase Breast Milk Production
Research on herbal remedies for increasing breast milk production have found that several natural compounds have the ability to safely stimulate an increase in milk production and thereby increase infant weight and growth. Researchers from the University of Illinois recently reviewed the evidence for herbal galactogogues – those traditional herbs that can stimulate more milk production, also called lactation. Their review found that several traditional remedies may well have clinical application – given that the herbs were found by clinical research to increase milk production among those tested. Traditional clinical application of an herbal remedy over centuries comes with its own set of controls: That is, each time an herbal remedy is prescribed or passed down to the next generation, it undergoes a clinical evaluation among the patients that have taken the remedy. A traditional healer could not readily retain his or her position among the community if he or she was not able to clearly provide viable treatment. And with the passing down of a remedy from one generation to the next comes a necessary proving among that next generation of patients. This gradual yet time-tested manner for clinical evaluation of natural remedies has resulted in an almost-perfect record as traditional remedies have met with modern clinical research. Those rare failures have typically been the result of a misapplication of the herb as an extract or otherwise weakened set of active constituents. An in practically every case, the herbal remedy has proven to be safe and easily tolerable by those using it.
