A family farm in rural Michigan may be shut down by a Government Entity who has passed a law stating that the heritage breed of hogs they are raising are a threat to neighboring croplands. In truth, the Big Pork Industry has been planning this campaign to take down all family farms with hopes to eventually siege complete control of the American Food Supply.
On July 12, 2 pm at the courthouse in Lake City (111 Canal Street) we will be facing off with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Michigan Attorney General (AG) in court for the first time. Both sides are asking for Summary Disposition, meaning that the judge will say that there isn’t a legitimate case and therefore one side wins by default. We are also asking for a Jury for the trial in August. This means the DNR and AG would have to present their case to a panel of citizens who would advise the judge. The DNR has no desire to make their case to a panel of our peers and is fighting this motion strongly. Come and show your support for small family farms and the right to procure the foods of your choice from the producer of your choice! Let’s fill the courtroom and respectfully show the judge that the people care about their rights and are supporting Mark Baker.
