The Yemen Houthis are continuing to defy U.S. President Donald Trump, and even mocking him, as they continued bombing Israel and U.S. warships in the Red Sea today.
The U.S. military will not admit to any ships actually being hit by Houthi missiles, and nobody was reported injured or killed in Israel, but sirens went off sending people rushing to take cover.
Here is some footage published by Times of India, from today as well as some footage from earlier this week.
Here is the English translation from Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement press release today.
Yemen targets Israel’s Ben Gurion airport, US aircraft carrier
Yemen’s armed forces say they have successfully carried out an operation against Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport and a number of military targets within the occupied territories in solidarity with Palestinians.
In a statement released on Thursday, Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement said the country’s forces had struck the airport and Israeli military sites in the occupied area of Yaffa, using ‘Dhu al-Fiqar’ and Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missiles.
The statement added that the operation successfully achieved its objective.
Israeli media reports said that air raid sirens sounded across al-Quds and the central part of the occupied territories shortly after 1:00 p.m. local time on Thursday.
An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that the alarms were triggered by the launch of two ballistic missiles from Yemen. The Israeli military said it was investigating the incident.
The Yemeni resistance group has repeatedly fired drones and missiles towards Israeli-occupied territories as acts of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. It has said it would stop such attacks if Israel halted its ongoing ‘barbaric military campaign’ in the besieged Gaza.
Elsewhere in the statement, Ansarallah also said that its forces struck US warships and an aircraft carrier in the Red Sea.
“In retaliation to the ongoing US aggression against our country, the missile , UAV, and the naval forces carried out a joint military operation targeting enemy warships in the Red Sea, led by the US aircraft carrier Truman, with a number of ballistic and cruise missiles and drones,” the statement read.
Washington and London, the Tel Aviv regime’s biggest benefactors, have been relentlessly bombing Yemen over the past several days, killing dozens, mostly women and children, in a desperate attempt to stop Sanaa’s military operations against Israel.
US warplanes carried out at least 15 air raids on the southern and northeastern regions of Yemen’s capital late on Wednesday, including airstrikes in the vicinity of Sanaa International Airport. (Source.)
Also published today was an interview with Pepe Escobar, a well-known international journalist who has been writing for over 40 years, with on-the-ground reports from inside Yemen, where he has been for the past week.
Escobar reports that the people in Yemen are not backing down, and refer to the Trump administration’s Signalgate as a “clown show”. He stated that they all knew about Signalgate as soon as it appeared on X.
It is a very informative video with information from inside Yemen that is not being reported in the western media, as he has interviewed leaders in Yemen to get their perspective.
He reports that the U.S. has only bombed civilian areas so far, not military ones, because the U.S. doesn’t even know where Yemen’s military sites are located.
Yemen has been at war with the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates since 2015, for about a decade now, and are used to being constantly bombed.
He states that he believes the Trump administration is foolishly planning on bombing Iran, and that Iran has over 5000 ballistic missiles pointed at U.S. military installations throughout Asia.
There were other things I learned from this interview. I had no idea that the Yemen people had such strong support in China, with Chinese Muslims. Escobar stated that both China and Russia have strong ties to Yemen, even though Yemen military leaders did not reveal any details to him.
He pointed out that the Houthis have frequently stated that both Chinese and Russian ships are free to pass through the Red Sea, and that they would not attack them.
Iran has responded to threats by President Trump by publishing photos of a massive underground missile city at an undisclosed location.
Explainer: What does Iran’s newly-unveiled largest subterranean ‘missile city’ reveal?
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday unveiled its largest underground missile city at an undisclosed location, sending a powerful message to enemies about Iran’s growing military prowess and complete readiness for any eventuality.
The subterranean facility was revealed in the presence of Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, and IRGC Aerospace Commander, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
Its unveiling comes amid escalating threats and blatant warmongering from the Donald Trump administration and the Israeli regime, prompting Iran to showcase its military preparedness to defend the homeland.
Just three days prior, the IRGC had unveiled new missile systems on three strategic islands in the Persian Gulf, capable of striking enemy bases, vessels, and assets across the region.
In recent years, the IRGC has released images of various underground bases, but this latest facility stands out as the largest yet, both in scale and firepower.
What ballistic missiles are stored in this underground base?
During the latest unveiling, it was revealed that a wide array of ballistic missiles—including Kheibar Shekan, Haj Qasem, Emad, Sajjil, and Ghadr-H, as well as Paveh cruise missiles—are stored in this missile city.
In a single frame, at least 78 Kheibar Shekan or Haj Qasem missiles were visible, with additional footage showing tunnels filled with dozens more, suggesting that the base houses at least hundreds, if not thousands, of missiles.
Some of these missiles, such as Kheibar Shekan, Ghadr, and Emad, were used in the True Promise I and II retaliatory operations against the Zionist entity last year that sent shockwaves across the world.
These operations demonstrated Iran’s capability to strike Israeli military and intelligence targets with high precision, penetrating much-hyped and advanced Israeli and American air defense systems.
During his visit to the facility, Major General Bagheri emphasized that “Iran’s iron fist is far stronger today than before,” stating that the current missile capacity is ten times greater than during past operations.
He further asserted that “the enemy will definitely fall behind in this balance of power,” signaling Iran’s continued advancement in missile development and underground military infrastructure. (Source.)
President Trump announced today that he would continue bombing Yemen for a “long time.”
Trump Says He Will Continue Bombing Yemen for a ‘Long Time’
The president claimed the bombing campaign has been ‘very successful’ even though the Houthis show no sign of backing down
President Trump on Wednesday claimed that the US’s daily airstrikes on Yemen have been “very successful” and vowed the bombing campaign would continue for a “long time.”
The US started bombing Yemen again on March 15 in response to the Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, announcing they would reimpose a blockade on Israeli shipping due to Israeli ceasefire violations in Gaza.
Since the Trump administration launched the bombing campaign, the Houthis have restarted attacks on US warships and resumed firing missiles at Israel, operations they ceased when the Gaza ceasefire went into effect on January 19. Despite this, President Trump claims the Houthis want “peace.”
“The Houthis are looking to do something. They want to know, ‘How do we stop? How do we stop? How can we have peace?’ The Houthis want peace because they’re getting the hell knocked out of them,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
“They want us to stop so badly… They’ve got to say, ‘No mas.’ But I can only say that the attacks every day, every night… have been very successful beyond our wildest expectations… We’re going to do it for a long time. We can keep it going for a long time,” the president said.
The Houthis’ message has been that they will meet “escalation with escalation” and that their attacks won’t stop unless there is a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the Israeli blockade on aid and all other goods entering the Palestinian territory.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that the American aggression will only increase the Yemenis’ steadfastness and resilience, and that the confrontations over the last few days were only the beginning of what will be a gradual expansion of defensive operations in the coming days,” Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said on Thursday when announcing new attacks on US warships and on Israel. (Source.)
In spite of Trump’s threats, it’s hard to believe what he says when the U.S. has already been bombing Yemen, including under Trump’s first term, for 10 years now, with little to no results.
In the Pepe Escobar interview above, he reports that all of Yemen’s weapons are produced domestically, and NOT imported. They are far less expensive to make than similar weapons produced in the U.S.
Robert Inlakesh, writing for MintPress News, reported that Trump’s bombing of Yemen is going to cost $billions, as in 2024 the U.S. spent $200 billion fighting the Houthis.
He reported that Trump’s first attacks on March 15 used RGM-109 Tomahawk land-attack cruise missiles, estimated to cost between $1.4 million and $2 million per unit.
What good is cutting government costs in the U.S., just to send $billions more to Israel, and spend $billions more bombing Yemen and maybe eventually Iran??
Trump’s Attacks on Yemen Will Cost US Taxpayers Billions
While U.S. President Donald Trump announces that Yemen’s Ansar Allah will be “completely annihilated,” he is racking up costs for the American taxpayer, using a strategy that failed under the Biden administration for more than a year.
Instead of pressuring Israel to allow aid to reach Gaza, the White House has declared war.
Ansar Allah made it clear it would continue to take action against Israel until a ceasefire was implemented in Gaza, justifying its intervention on humanitarian grounds, claiming an obligation under the Genocide Convention to act. The U.S., under the Biden administration, then decided to attack Yemen directly despite no immediate threat to American interests or vessels.
Then-Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced the launch of Operation Prosperity Guardian, a multinational naval mission that failed to achieve any of its objectives and was conducted primarily in the interest of Israel. The costs of the mission ran into the hundreds of billions, while U.S. taxpayers suffered at least billions in losses with no positive outcomes to show for it.
Through 2024 alone, Ansar Allah’s blockade in the Red Sea cost more than $200 billion. Although the U.S. and its British allies repeatedly launched airstrikes on positions across Yemen, they only succeeded in extending the blockade in the Red Sea to their own vessels instead of just Israel’s.
Trump began launching airstrikes across Yemen on March 15, which were deadlier to the country’s civilian population than comparable assaults during the Biden administration. Yet, there are no objective indicators that a favorable result has been achieved.
Similar hyperbole that seeks to exaggerate the results of airstrikes was used by Pentagon officials in January 2024, after the former U.S. president ordered a large-scale bombing campaign. “We feel very confident about where our ammunition struck,” remarked Lt. Gen. Douglas Sims, the Joint Staff’s director for operations at the time. Offering no proof of success, Trump is following in the footsteps of the Biden administration.
In the first wave of Trump’s attacks against Yemen, the U.S. used RGM-109 Tomahawk land-attack cruise missiles, estimated to cost between $1.4 million and $2 million per unit. In 2018, when Trump launched an attack on Syria with 66 Tomahawk cruise missiles, the estimated cost for munitions alone exceeded $92.4 million.
The munitions used by the U.S. Navy to shoot down Yemen’s missiles and drones cost between $1 million and $4.3 million each, provoking Department of Defense officials to voice their discontent. “That quickly becomes a problem because the most benefit, even if we do shoot down their incoming missiles and drones, is in their favor,” said Mick Mulroy, a former Defense Department official, in December 2023.
A former U.S. naval officer told MintPress News that the cost of Operation Prosperity Guardian was roughly $600 million per month. “This appears to be a much more intense and costly operation, so without all the specifics, it’s hard to predict how much this will cost,” the officer said. Operating an aircraft carrier alone is estimated to cost between $6 million and $8 million per day. (Full article.)
Fallout from Signalgate Continues
As I reported yesterday, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated in the Signal chat that “European navies do not have the capability to defend against the types of sophisticated, antiship, cruise missiles, and drones the Houthis are now using.”
In that chat thread he also stated that there they had a positive ID on a strike of one of Yemen’s military leaders.
“The first target—their top missile guy—we had positive ID of him walking into his girlfriend’s building and it is now collapsed.”
Of course as others have pointed out by this statement, it confirms that they targeted civilian structures causing civilian deaths, which they all cheered.
Today, in what the Wall Street Journal is claiming is an “exclusive,” they report that it was Israel (Mossad) who had a person in Yemen who identified this Yemen military leader.
Israel was apparently not happy about the Signal leaks, and now there is risk that others will be hesitant to share intelligence with Trump’s team.
Israel Supplied Intelligence in Airstrike Discussed in Signal Chat, Officials say
WASHINGTON—Israel provided sensitive intelligence from a human source in Yemen on a key Houthi military operative targeted in an attack described by national security adviser Mike Waltz in an unclassified Signal chat with senior Trump administration officials, two U.S. officials said.
Shortly after the U.S. strikes began, Waltz texted that a key target of the attacks, a Houthi missile expert, had been seen entering his girlfriend’s building, which he said had been destroyed.
Israeli officials have complained privately to U.S. officials that Waltz’s text has become public, one U.S. official said.
Israel’s role in supplying information that helped track the militant highlights the sensitivity of some disclosures in the texts and raises questions about the Trump administration’s contention that no classified information was shared on the Signal chat, a publicly available nongovernmental app.
“The first target—their top missile guy—we had positive ID of him walking into his girlfriend’s building and it is now collapsed,” Waltz wrote, without disclosing the source of the information.
Waltz didn’t describe the sources of the intelligence but said in another text that the U.S. has “multiple positive ID.”
The identity of a person in Yemen who was supplying information in real-time about the strikes would likely be carefully protected.
Current and former officials say intelligence leaks could compromise foreign intelligence sources and make other nations reluctant to share such sensitive information. Trump officials have said in recent weeks that they have redoubled their efforts to prevent leaks of classified information. (Source.)
The other thing that was reported today, which was a very busy news day, is that Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen have launched a joint naval exercise in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
A raging “hot war” breaking out in the Middle East seems all but certain now, with the Zionist warmongers in charge of Washington D.C. The main question that remains is, will it be confined to the Middle East?
Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen kick off joint naval drills in support of Gaza
Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen have launched a joint naval exercise in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who have been enduring the Israeli regime’s criminal war.
The joint parade kicked off across the Persian Gulf, Makran coastal region, and the Caspian Sea in the northern and southern territorial waters of Iran on Thursday ahead of International Quds Day.
IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said 3,000 heavy and light vessels are taking part in the parade.
The parade mainly aims to display the maritime capabilities of the resistance front and convey a message to the wicked and oppressive Israeli regime, he added.
‘IRGC will turn the sea into hell for Israel’
Tangsiri said the IRGC naval forces are pursuing the guidelines of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and will “turn the sea into hell for the Zionists and eliminate Israel from the face of the world.”
“We will not only fight on land. We are also ready in the sea and you will have no way to escape,” the IRGC commander told the Israeli regime. (Full article.)
The Red Sea, of course, is mentioned many times in the Bible.
The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead man, and every living thing in the sea died. (Revelation 16:3)
