Health Impact News
The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine has become this generation’s Vioxx scandal. Headlines are now appearing weekly as news aggregators struggle to keep up with the bad press garnered globally from Gardasil, Cervarix and others. Countries are in various stages of fending off a criminal, profit-motivated HPV vaccine push onto their populations.
This once airtight medical fraud is now coming apart at the seams as politicians and healthcare professionals are jumping ship and refusing to hold the party line.
Colombia is in the news once again courtesy of focused communities that are demanding answers to their HPV vaccine-injured girls. As reported early on by Health Impact News, the Colombian medical and political leaders have been playing strictly by the pharmaceutical company’s handbook to quell its revolutionary population who are demanding action regarding their HPV vaccine-injured daughters.
Colombia’s largest mainstream news outlet El Tiempo is currently reporting — as fair as one could hope a mainstream outlet would cover mass vaccine-injury — on a public forum that was held in the Bogotá Council. The forum heard testimony from doctors, lawyers, politicians, health ministers and numerous HPV vaccine-injured girls in an effort to determine the country’s next steps concerning its HPV vaccine program and treatment of the massive numbers of vaccine injuries caused by the shot.
Colombia’s Vaccine Injured Girls – Their Voices are Being Heard
The girls took the stand and testified one by one in a scene that was reminiscent of what has been unfolding in Ireland currently. The Colombian girls went on record to tell of fainting spells, muscle weakness and pain after their HPV vaccinations.
In early 2013 the Ministry of Health and the Secretary of Education of Bogotá initiated official vaccination days in schools throughout the city vaccinating thousands of children and adolescents. No information was given at the time to parents or children about the side effects and risks.
Colombian officials were forced to sit and listen recently in the Bogotá Council to both sides state their cases. Colombian National Academy of Medicine member Dr. Francisco Yepez went on record to state:
The evidence at this time requires us to establish warning signs. We cannot wait until we demonstrate scientifically that these elements have causal relationship.
Maria Paula Salamanca, now 16 years old, took the stand to tell of what happened after she was given the shot at school on May 27, 2013. A year prior to that, in 2012, Salamanca was a world-class skater winning a silver metal for Colombia in the annual 100K New York Marathon. After the HPV shot, she began to pass out and have migraines that she, her coaches and her family all attributed to fatigue.
Juliana Vega, now 19 years old, was given the HPV shot on at school in 2014 yet was never warned about the risks. Fifteen days later she began fainting, and started losing her hair and vision. Vega testified stating:
I had to suspend my plans for college. I was extremely athletic before, now I can’t run — my legs won’t let me. I have no wheelchair and if I awake with no mobility in my legs, I have to stay in bed.
In their testimonies, the HPV vaccine-injured girls also denounced the poor treatment they have received from doctors and health institutions in Colombia. The girls also went on record to chronicle the lack of support for their treatments and therapies telling how their disabilities have limited their ability to lead a normal life.
Doctors Take a Stand and do the Right Thing
What prompted this public forum in the Bogotá Council? In the days leading up to the public forum in Bogotá, Dr. Juan Mendoza Vega and Dr. José Félix Patiño submitted an official public request to The Minister of Health and Social Protection Alejandro Gaviria Uribe on March 14.
Dr. Vega is the President of the National Academy of Medicine in Colombia and his specialties are neurosurgery and electroencephalography. In addition, Dr. Vega also is the current professor of Medical History and Medical Ethics at the National University of Colombia as well as playing the role of chief scientist at the Neurological Institute of Colombia. Dr. Patiño meanwhile serves as Coordinator of Health at the National Academy of Medicine in Colombia.
In their request, Dr. Vega and Dr. Patiño state:
…after listening to different independent experts, among them the former director of the Colombian National Institute of Health, Dr. Fernando De La Hoz, Dr. Nubia Muñoz and two doctors from the pharmaceutical company Merck. And after carefully reviewing the available scientific literature, CONSIDERS necessary to ask the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MSPS) to change in current HPV vaccine application protocols. The reasons for this request are grounded in growing national and international information about the association between this vaccine and the onset or aggravation of various autoimmune diseases.
Citing sound medical and epidemiological references the doctors go on to state in their request:
The number of cases of vaccinated people who have developed these [autoimmune] diseases is increasing. Indeed, a high incidence of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions associated with HPV vaccination and a significant risk of developing systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis and arthritis have recently been documented in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) In addition, the number of reported cases of dysautonomia is increasing.
Perhaps the most important points contained in their request to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection were the following statements:
The Commission, of course, recognizes the importance of preventing such a serious disease as is cervical cancer, but believes it is more important to draw the attention of the Ministry of Health to the following aspects:
- The Hippocratic term “primum non nocere [do no harm]” should permeate all medical and public health actions.
- It is important for national and international experts to give their opinion on the safety of the vaccine, and to make public their conflicts of interest when they receive funding from the pharmaceutical industry.
- …the absence of transparent information is affecting the confidence of the population.
The takeaway from this request is the demand that Colombia’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection exclude HPV vaccination in populations with the presence of an autoimmune disease and modify the protocols for the public to receive full information on the negative effects and risks.
It is interesting that Colombian politicians and medical leaders are actually acknowledging that full consent has been withheld while currently debating the notion of allowing the public to receive full informed consent.

Medical Doctors Opposed to Forced Vaccinations – Should Their Views be Silenced?
One of the biggest myths being propagated in the compliant mainstream media today is that doctors are either pro-vaccine or anti-vaccine, and that the anti-vaccine doctors are all “quacks.”
However, nothing could be further from the truth in the vaccine debate. Doctors are not unified at all on their positions regarding “the science” of vaccines, nor are they unified in the position of removing informed consent to a medical procedure like vaccines.
The two most extreme positions are those doctors who are 100% against vaccines and do not administer them at all, and those doctors that believe that ALL vaccines are safe and effective for ALL people, ALL the time, by force if necessary.
Very few doctors fall into either of these two extremist positions, and yet it is the extreme pro-vaccine position that is presented by the U.S. Government and mainstream media as being the dominant position of the medical field.
In between these two extreme views, however, is where the vast majority of doctors practicing today would probably categorize their position. Many doctors who consider themselves “pro-vaccine,” for example, do not believe that every single vaccine is appropriate for every single individual.
Many doctors recommend a “delayed” vaccine schedule for some patients, and not always the recommended one-size-fits-all CDC childhood schedule. Other doctors choose to recommend vaccines based on the actual science and merit of each vaccine, recommending some, while determining that others are not worth the risk for children, such as the suspect seasonal flu shot.
These doctors who do not hold extreme positions would be opposed to government-mandated vaccinations and the removal of all parental exemptions.
In this article, I am going to summarize the many doctors today who do not take the most extremist pro-vaccine position, which is probably not held by very many doctors at all, in spite of what the pharmaceutical industry, the federal government, and the mainstream media would like the public to believe.
