Re: raw milk.

I would like to get my two cents in on this one.

I concur with all the other reasons stated why we should be able to buy it. My husband and I drank raw milk for years, raised two kids on it and they turned out healthy.

I kept everything scrupulousy clean and can’t figure out why we can’t just buy it in the grocery store. If a farmer were to sell raw milk, his reputation and continuation of business would depend on cleanliness, healthy cows and doing everything to ensure the milk was pure.

It makes me wonder why we can’t buy raw milk, but energy drinks are sold on the market by the thousands. Energy drinks contain an overabundance of caffeine, not to mention the excessive amounts of sugar, combined with other food additives, often not listed on the labels, and may interact with each other causing nausea, abnormal heart rythmns and emergency room visits.

These drinks have been linked to reports of seizures after a “crash” following the “high” after drinking. They also have a detrimental effect on kids concentration in school. A few cases of heart failure have been reported in the U.S.

Is this better than raw milk? I think not.

If Health Canada think energy drinks are OK, they they should be OKing raw milk. If energy drinks are a choice then give us the choice of pasturized and raw milk.
