Two weeks ago my post focused on the lack of evidence for a link between saturated fat and heart disease risk. One of the reviews I quoted was published in 2009, which came out of an ‘expert consultation’ held jointly by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the US. The study found no links between saturated fat intake and risk of heart attacks or risk of death due to heart disease.
