On June 17, 2016, the International Business Times (IBT) reported that a strain of the vaccine-derived polio virus has been discovered in Hyderabad, India, and experts have warned that the likelihood of more cases being discovered over the next year is extremely likely. India recently reached their "polio-free" status, so the only known cases of polio currently are the ones caused by the vaccine. In 2015, we reported that the oral polio vaccination had been banned in the U.S. since 2000, because too many children who had received the vaccine had subsequently developed vaccine-associated paralytic polio (VAPP), which is a serious side effect of the vaccine. The World Health Organization (WHO) had known about this for many years, but instead of banning this vaccination as one would have expected them to, they vowed to keep using the vaccine until the wild polio virus has been eradicated. It appears that the WHO does not care in the slightest that thousands of children are being paralyzed throughout India and the developing world.
The Guardian is reporting that health officials in Pakistan are arresting and throwing into jail hundreds of parents who refuse to allow their children to receive the oral polio vaccine. These health officials are forcing children to receive the vaccine at gunpoint. Just to emphasize the point here, these are parents of children who are being rounded up and thrown into jail in Pakistan. Not terrorists, not murders, not thieves, but parents who do not want their children to receive the polio vaccine. Could we see armed health officials roaming the streets of cities in the U.S. forcing children to be vaccinated against the wishes of their parents at gunpoint? The rationale and the legal framework for such actions is actually already in place to do just that.
Opposition to mass vaccination programs in Muslim countries like Pakistan, as well as several nations in Africa, is well known. Many among the local populations fear that such programs are a part of covert Western government operations. Medical authorities who promote the supposed benefits of vaccination programs call such ideas "wild conspiracy theories," and usually find local leaders to dispel such "myths". However, with the recent announcement by the Obama Administration that the CIA "will not seek to obtain or exploit DNA or other genetic material acquired through such programs," the White House has now admitted that these fears were not "myths" or conspiracy theories after all. A fake vaccination program was launched in Pakistan by Dr. Shakeel Afridi, for example, to capture Bin Laden, as part of CIA policy to collect DNA samples. So why did the White House come out and make such a public statement?
The Vaccine Myth of “Polio-free” Status – Polio Vaccine Caused 53,000 Paralysis Victims in India Last Year
There is a dirty secret in the vaccine business that is very well documented: the live oral polio vaccine can actually spread polio and causes "non-polio acute flaccid paralysis." This is very well-known throughout the world, but in the pro-vaccine U.S. mainstream media, this information is seldom, if ever, published, so most Americans are still under the assumption that polio has been eradicated due to vaccines. Unfortunately, that is a false belief not supported by the facts. As usual, we need to look at reports outside the U.S. media to find out what is happening with vaccines around the world. This week, LiveMint in India reported on the polio-free myth in India, explaining how the live polio vaccine was responsible for increases in paralysis. LiveMint is the second largest business newspaper in India, and has an exclusive relationship with the Wall Street Journal. So this report was from "mainstream" media in India. What is clear from this report, and well documented in peer-reviewed literature, is that the term "polio-free status" is completely meaningless. The designation of a country as "polio-free" is simply a triumphant marketing cry by pharmaceutical interests to continue promoting their live polio vaccines, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that it does more harm than good.
