Liberian Scientist and Professor: Ebola Virus Manufactured by Western Pharmaceuticals, US DoD?

This editorial written by Dr. Cyril Broderick, a former professor of Plant Pathology at the University of Liberia’s College of Agriculture and Forestry, was published by Liberia's largest newspaper as headline news. He claims that Ebola is a genetically modified organism (GMO) introduced by western medicine and possibly a result of military research. The western pro-pharma media has chided Dr. Broderick, saying that such an inflammatory piece of writing is "irresponsible" since so many Africans are already distrustful of western medicine. They see western medicine as the answer to Africa's deadly diseases such as Ebola, while Dr. Borderick sees it as the cause. Dr. Broderick states "African people are not ignorant and gullible, as is being implicated." Whether right or wrong, we feel African leaders have a voice in this matter, and should not be censored.

Bill Gates Funded Company Can Now Track Your Vaccine Status via Fingerprint

Earlier this week VaxTrac, a non-profit organization supported by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, announced it's new "Lumidigm multispectral imaging fingerprint sensors" were being used to build a biometric vaccination registry. The new device is operated and managed in the field with low-cost mobile devices. Adult and child patients are identified in the registry with fingerprint sensors. By scanning finger prints, medical professionals can pull up their vaccination records with the touch of a finger. Will this technology be used in the U.S. to develop national vaccine registries as pharmaceutical companies look to expand their vaccine markets?

African Groups Reject G8 Biotech Food Plan as ‘Colonialism’

African farmers’ movements and civil society groups have rejected the G8’s New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition as part of a “new wave of colonialism” targeting their food systems for corporate profit. The African statement accuses the G8 of supporting multinational corporations like Yara, Monsanto, Syngenta, Cargill in their quest to privatise African agriculture: “Private ownership of knowledge and material resources (for example, seed and genetic materials) means the flow of royalties out of Africa into the hands of multinational corporations.” The statement calls for alternative strategies to protect sustainable agricultural techniques already in development across Africa which put household food security before corporate profits.
