Former Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin has had 3 warrants for his arrest issued this year for failing to obey court orders in a case concerning his adopted son who was abused in foster care, and as of this writing, Bevin is still free, as apparently no law enforcement agency in Kentucky is willing to arrest him.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A third arrest warrant was issued Friday for former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin.

According to a court order, Bevin and his estranged wife, Glenna, were ordered in May 2025 to produce financial documents to the court. In February 2026, Matt and Glenna were told three times to exchange the documents.

In March, Matt and Glenna were given another deadline to exchange the documents. When Matt failed to produce the documents, the Jefferson County judge found him in contempt of court and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Court documents show that the case was put on pause for two months, which the court said was “ample time to compile the necessary records.” Matt was scheduled for sentencing on May 29 and was given a final chance to provide the documents within a week, on June 5.

During the sentencing, Matt and Glenna’s son, Jonah, filed an emergency motion to find Matt in contempt of court. The previous day, May 28, Jonah’s attorneys filed an affidavit requesting that Matt and Glenna be responsible for the attorney fees.

A second arrest warrant was issued and recalled on May 29.

On Friday, attorneys for Matt filed a motion requesting more time to compile the financial documents.

“Matt is not trying to unduly delay this action but is instead simply requesting a reasonable time period to complete the production of the documents identified by Jonah’s counsel,” the motion read.

The order filed by the court stated that Matt had enough time to compile all the necessary documents, and that Matt filed the motion “minutes” before the deadline at noon.

The order denied Matt’s motion for more time, and the court issued a warrant for his arrest for failing to produce all the necessary documents by the deadline.

At the most recent court hearing a few weeks ago (June, 2026), the judge stated that the arrest warrant was still active, and yet he still has not been arrested.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The warrant for former Gov. Matt Bevin’s arrest remains active after a Jefferson Family Court judge ruled that he still has not turned over documents needed in his ongoing child support case.

The development comes as Bevin is responding to comments from attorneys for his adopted son, Jonah, which were included in our exclusive interview last week with his ex-wife, former first lady Glenna Bevin.

Jefferson Family Court Judge Angela Johnson refused on Monday, June 15, to lift the warrant for the former governor’s arrest.

The judge said Bevin still has not provided all of the documents needed to determine child support for his adopted son, Jonah, who is seeking retroactive financial support through his parents’ divorce case.

Johnson said the case is not about putting the former governor in jail, adding she would “happily rescind” the warrant if he provides the required documents.

“Let’s not pretend as though you’ve been acting in good faith, and at this point, I am being a little less diplomatic than I ordinarily would because I am losing patience at this point,” Judge Angela Johnson said.

The Bevins have adopted several children from Ethiopia. The case of their adopted son Jonah, who allegedly became a “troubled teen” and then was reported severely abused while in foster group homes, ended up in a Jamaican boarding school that was raided and then shut down for severe child abuse.

The adopted son of former Kentucky governor Matt Bevin says he was abandoned in Jamaica after being rescued from a school accused of abusing its students.

During his time in office from 2015 to 2019, the Republican and his wife Glenna often spoke of their four adopted children from Ethiopia and their desire to reform Kentucky’s ‘broken’ adoption and foster care system.

But one of the couple’s adopted sons, 17, has now claimed he was abandoned by the Bevins after being rescued from the Atlantis Leadership Academy for troubled teens in Jamaica in February.

The boy, nicknamed Noah for his privacy, was one of eight American boys aged 14 to 18 who were removed from the school after a surprise inspection uncovered horrific abuse, per authorities.

Noah told The Sunday Times last month that while other parents traveled to Jamaica to pick up their children after the school was raided, the Bevins did not show up and he was made ward of the Jamaican state.

When asked why the Bevins adopted him, Noah replied: ‘public image.’

The Bevins, who also have five biological children, did not respond to the allegations when contacted by the Kentucky Lantern.

Noah was reportedly sent to another facility in Florida after Bevins lost re-election in 2019.

He was then sent to the Jamaican boarding school last year. His current whereabouts are unknown but he is no longer in Jamaica.

The Bevins are going through a contentious divorce after 27 years of marriage.

Since the identity of the Bevins’ adopted son that is the subject of this legal battle for his support went public, he recently spoke out about his case.

And like so many overseas adoption cases we have covered over the years, he was lied to about his parents, whom he was told were dead, when in fact, they were not.

It is all part of the adoption child trafficking network I have reported on for years, where mainly white, Evangelical Christians, claim that they are saving “orphans,” when in fact they are not orphans at all and have families who love them.

Jonah Bevin shares allegations of abuse, neglect as judge orders former Kentucky governor’s arrest for failing to provide court records

KENTUCKY, Ky. (WKYT) – For the first time, Jonah Bevin is sharing his side of the story in an ongoing child support case against his adoptive father, former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, as a judge issued an arrest order for the former governor.

The judge issued the arrest order after Matt Bevin failed to provide the court all requested records in the case. The order gives all peace officers in the commonwealth the authority to arrest Bevin. After his arrest, he will have to serve 60 days in jail and pay a $500 fine.

In an interview with WKYT, Jonah spoke about what it was like living with the Bevins and shared his thoughts on the legal fight currently going on.

“Everything that happened after I was sent away changed the course of my life,” Jonah said.

Jonah, adopted by the former governor and his wife Glenna from Ethiopia at age five, said his relationship with his adoptive father is nonexistent. He said he was sent to facilities across multiple states and eventually to the Atlantis Leadership Academy in Jamaica.

Jonah claims he was physically abused at the Jamaican boarding school and both emotionally and mentally abused under Matt and his wife’s guardianship.

Jonah’s attorneys said the money the Bevins paid did not care for him but paid for his abuse.

“What’s undisputed is that the facility in Jamaica was shut down by the Jamaican child welfare authorities and Jonah was left there, along with two other boys whose parents refused to come pick them up,”

said Melina Hettiaratchi, Jonah’s attorney.

Jonah also said he grew up believing his biological family in Ethiopia died. He later found them and reconnected.

He said his last conversation with Matt Bevin came when he shared that news, and Matt Bevin told him if he pursued legal action, he would never help him connect with them.

“I have my own family. I’m not concerned about being in another family that I don’t need to be a part of. I already have one they took me from one that I had,” Jonah said.

I felt like vomiting, because during a 5-year period from 2014 through 2019 when we were actively reporting on medical kidnapping and child trafficking every week with hundreds of stories, Kentucky was one of the worst states responsible for trafficking children through foster care and adoption run by the State.

We could hardly believe what the government in Kentucky was allowing to happen to their children!

Bevin basically even admitted all this, but not only did he not fix the problem, he participated in it.

Whistleblowers Reveal CPS Child Kidnappings in Kentucky Adoption Business

In 2006 and 2007 investigative reporter John Boel exposed much of the corruption taking place in the “child protection” system in Kentucky. His reports were broadcast in the local media at that time, and included some amazing interviews with former CPS whistleblowers, documenting the depth of the alleged corruption within Kentucky CPS.

In a report aired originally on WLKY Target 32 News, news anchors begin the story by explaining that the station had to go to court ^[9] just to get permission to air their investigative report, because the State of Kentucky attempted to censor their report from the public.

Reporter John Boel states that they were “being swamped with complaints” against CPS in Kentucky. He explains that his report gives an “in-depth look” into Kentucky CPS which exemplifies what they were hearing from so many other families who were coming to them.

Boel reports that children are often removed quickly with no evidence of parental wrong-doing, and that the State retaliates against those who try to fight back.

Corrupt Kentucky Family Court

The investigative report shows a confidential video tape from an actual custody trial that was recorded in family court. Boel states:

While it may take weeks, months or years to take someone’s freedom away in a circuit court, it only takes 17 minutes to take 3 …. children away in a family court.

The video footage then clearly shows that the mother in this case had no true representation in family court. The caseworker states that the children were taken into state custody due to “educational and medical neglect.” No records were allegedly provided, only the opinion of the caseworker. After 17 minutes, the judge terminates the mother’s right to her children.

State of Kentucky Retaliates Against Those Who Try to Fight Back – Including Attorneys

The mother allegedly appealed the ruling and fought back, which resulted in the State removing her other 3 children, and 14 children from her extended family.

Next, Boel interviews an attorney who took this family’s case, attorney Bob Bishop, and his wife Jennifer Bishop. Jennifer explains how her husband was incredulous that such abuses in the system were happening.

She then explains that CPS came after them also, removing their own adopted daughter from their home.

They said “if you don’t cooperate with us, we’re going to take all your children, and charge you with emotional abuse.”

Corrupt State of Kentucky Makes Money from Adoptions

In his next investigative report, reporter John Boel explains that one of the motivations for the State to remove children from parents even when parents have done nothing to warrant such a removal, is to receive federal reimbursement funds for the adoption program.

In his follow up report in 2007, John Boel receives “confidential” family court tapes showing just how the system works, and how the actions of some caseworkers even disturb some of their fellow caseworkers. Records supporting parents seem to “disappear.” They also reveal conflicts of interest between case workers and foster parents who may be related to the case worker placing the child into the foster home.

CPS Whistleblowers Speak out on Abuse in Kentucky CPS

In this 4th report, John Boel explains that CPS whistleblowers reveal how Kentucky families are harassed, and CPS workers are pressured to boost State adoption numbers.

He starts out his report by interviewing former CPS social worker Pat Moore, who was fired because she refused to ignore abuses in a foster home. She sued the State of Kentucky, and settled for $308,000.00. Moore allegedly refused to carry out an adoption for foster parents because they had criminal records, and a convicted sex offender was allegedly visiting and caring for the foster children. CPS tried to over-rule her decision to oppose the adoption and push it through quickly.

Boel interviewed her attorney, who stated that he believed the motivation for CPS to approve adoptions to convicted criminals was to receive federal funds available for adoptions.

Adoption Business: Placing Orders for Babies that CPS Fills by Kidnapping

Next, Boel interviews another CPS whistleblower, but one who wanted to keep her identity concealed because she was so afraid of retaliation. The former CPS worker explains how CPS is all about statistics, about how many children can be placed into adoption, since State and Federal reimbursement funds are all tied into statistics. She explains that CPS workers are encouraged to put more children into adoption.

She even relates one story of how someone who could not have children “placed an order” for a baby:

Someone could not have a child and wanted a child. So, within the community this certain person saw a family that was in distress, was having a hard time, and relayed to (CPS) workers that they would like those children. And that is exactly what is happening….

Next, Boel interviews a former CPS supervisor who also conceals her identity because she fears retaliation. This person tells Boel that if an order for a child was delayed or denied, her supervisors would come in and try to overrule local decisions.

This one family was promised a child. And when it happened that the child was going to be reunified with the parents, they called our regional office, and our regional office came down on our county and they harassed the birth parents… because they did not agree with our decision.

Kentucky CPS Power: Take Away Children at Will

These CPS whistleblowers also confirmed that CPS can and does take away children simply to retaliate against people who try to fight or expose the system:

I can call in a report tomorrow, and I can make it seem very real, to the point that a family will be investigated. And whoever gets it could come up with a substantiation, of let’s say “neglect,” and it might not be true. But it doesn’t matter.

Are Things Any Different in Kentucky Today?

We could find no evidence that John Boel’s investigative reports on Kentucky CPS back in 2005 through 2007 resulted in any changes for the better.

Earlier this year, Health Impact News reported on the story of the Maney family in Kentucky, which suggests it might be business as usual in Kentucky CPS.

Brenda reports that a well-meaning friend called CPS in Kentucky to actually help her through some difficult times, but that instead of helping, CPS allegedly took her children away, even over the objections of local police.

Conclusion: The Child Traffickers in the U.S. do NOT Face Justice

Here in 2026, now several months after the partial release of the Epstein files that was required by a law signed by Donald Trump himself, the child traffickers are still not being brought to justice.

How can THREE arrest warrants be issued by a judge against a former governor and not be enforced??

Because the whole system is corrupt, and they protect each other.
