A federal judge has sentenced scientist and vaccine researcher Dong-Pyou Han to more than four and half years in prison and ordered him to repay $7.2 million in grant funds his team received from the federal government to develop an HIV vaccine. Last year, the Iowa State University HIV vaccine researcher confessed to fraudulently injecting samples of rabbit blood with human antibodies to make an experimental HIV vaccine appear to have great promise, and earn $19 million in grant money from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Washington Post is reporting that this is a very rare sentence for an academic researcher: "Academic misconduct often doesn't even result in researchers losing their jobs, and it is even rarer for criminal charges and prison time to result from one of these cases. In 2006, a researcher pleaded guilty to falsifying information on an NIH grant and was sentenced to a year in prison -- the first time such a sentence handed down for scientific misconduct."
In a brief mention in the mainstream media that as far as we can tell only Reuters reported, former Merck vaccine scientists, who have become whistleblowers and have had a federal lawsuit pending against Merck since 2010 for vaccine fraud, have filed another court document in their case accusing Merck of withholding evidence and not complying with court orders.

Jeanne Lenzer, associate editor of the British Medical Journal, has published an investigative report showing how the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is not honest when publishing disclaimers in their studies stating that "they have no financial interests or other relationships with the manufacturers of commercial products." This news does not come as a surprise to those of us in the alternative media, but it is significant that the report was published in one the world's most respected medical journals, the British Medical Journal. Lenzer explains why this is so significant: "The CDC’s image as an independent watchdog over the public health has given it enormous prestige, and its recommendations are occasionally enforced by law." She goes on to quote Marcia Angell, former editor in chief of the New England Journal of Medicine: "The CDC has enormous credibility among physicians, in no small part because the agency is generally thought to be free of industry bias. Financial dealings with biopharmaceutical companies threaten that reputation."
It is hard to defend an agency that continually acts against the best interests of the public they’re entrusted to defend. Due to the efforts of a professor and his students at the Arthur L. Carter Institute of Journalism at New York University, we have proof that the FDA is failing to warn Americans about grave concerns due to falsifications in published data. They found 60 clinical trials that had violations found by the FDA, and these trials were used for data in 78 published articles. And we’re not talking about small, innocent mistakes. The violations included fraud, incompetence, and misconduct. This means that anyone browsing a medical journal might be making decisions based on fraudulent published studies.
Criminal activities of pharmaceutical companies are frequently reported on in the mainstream media. The largest criminal settlements in U.S. history are cases against pharmaceutical companies, such as Johnson & Johnson’s $2.2 billion criminal settlement late last year for illegally marketing drugs to the elderly, children and the mentally disabled. When it comes to criminal activities involved with marketing vaccines, however, there is a near total blackout in the mainstream media. So here at Health Impact News we will highlight a sampling of some of the biggest stories of fraud and criminal activities involved with marketing vaccines so far here in 2014. Very few of these stories have been mentioned in the mainstream media, because the vaccine market is a multi-billion dollar market, and the vaccine industry does not like losing any market share. They are using their incestuous relationship to the U.S. government to take away personal rights and liberties in medical choices. They would like mandatory vaccine policies in place at the local, state, and national levels, because their products cannot survive in a free market. They need government collusion and coercion for this market to survive. And so far, with the help of the mainstream media generally not reporting on the corruption and criminal activity, they have a willing and compliant public.
Pharmaceutical Industry now Leads all other Industries in Fraud against the Federal Government – Why are they Still in Business?
by Alliance for Natural Health
There is a surprising reason why the government won’t go after drug companies for serious crimes.
It is because government programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and the Veterans Administration would then be barred from doing business with them!
