Press Release
Grass-Fed Traditions

Grass-Fed Traditions, part of the Tropical Traditions and Healthy Traditions network, has announced that it is offering bison bone stock to the public.

The stock is sourced from the bones of grass-fed bison that are raised on pastures that are never treated with chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. These magnificent animals yield bones that are perfect for making a nutrient dense stock.

Grass-Fed Traditions adds a touch of organic apple cider vinegar and distilled water to the bones to help pull those nutrients out and impart them into this mild flavored stock that has many uses. The stock will arrive frozen in glass jars and once the stock is defrosted it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

This delicious and nutrient-dense stock can be used as a base for soups or simply enjoyed as a wonderful warm drink. The flavor is mild, but it also lends itself well to add great flavor to rice or quinoa. However you choose to enjoy our concentrated stock you will appreciate the fact that this stock is made by:

  • Slow simmering grass-fed bison bones
  • Hand crafted in small batches
  • Hand packaged into glass jars
  • Frozen to ensure freshness when it arrives
  • Simple ingredients: grass–fed bison bones, distilled water, organic apple cider vinegar

Healthy Traditions Traditionally Produced Certified

Traditionally Produced Gold Standard2

Grass-Fed Traditions bison bone stock carries the Healthy Traditions highest standard: Traditionally Produced.

Healthy Traditions is a set of standards defined by traditional values and ways of producing food and healthy products. Recognizing that today’s standards for terms such as “organic,” “GMO-free,” or “natural” can often be confusing and conflicting, Healthy Traditions has developed its own standards that far exceed most other industry buzzword marketing terms.

Traditionally Produced” is the highest standard. When you see the “Traditionally Produced” logo, this carries the Gold Label standard of traditionally produced food.

For foods to be considered “Traditionally Produced” they must have a “traditional” history in the food chain. New foods that have been introduced into the food chain in the past 65 to 70 years, since the Industrial Revolution, cannot carry the “Traditionally Produced” seal of approval.

Additionally, foods carrying the “Traditionally Produced” seal must also be traceable back to the actual producer. Foods that meet all the standards of “Traditionally Produced” that cannot be directly traced to the producer can still carry our “Healthy Traditions Approved” seal, if they are free from GMO and glyphosate contamination.

For foods that have a risk of contamination from GMO crops and glyphosate, Healthy Traditions requires each batch to be tested and return a result of “no detection” in order to carry ANY of the Healthy Traditions seals.
