Female doctor hand hold prescription on clipboard pad and offer to patient

The CDC currently attributes vaccines and antibiotics as the two major milestones of modern medicine. Many of us have taken a more critical attitude towards vaccines, but the reputation of antibiotics is still mostly untarnished.

The fact of antibiotic resistant bacteria is considered the worst public health medical nightmare by mainstream media and medicine. This situation is blamed on antibiotic overuse.

Yet few are asking “why?” Why are these medical wonders losing out to those terrible germs that threaten humanity?

Few dare to confront the possibility that the germ theory of disease is highly overrated, that a strong natural immune system is vital for maintaining a healthy “inner terrain” capable of resisting disease, and that maybe Pasteur was a celebrity scientist hack who was off the mark. Pasteur managed to establish the pharmaceutical industry as the solution to microbial phobia. (Source)

Perhaps this antibiotic resistance “crisis” is a wake-up call, a blessing in disguise, urging more to nurture their immunity and health with proper diets, lifestyles, and exercise. One could use safe natural antibiotic remedies rather than depending on synthetic pharmaceutical drugs (this is covered in the last section of this article “Yes, There are Safe Alternative Options”).

Antibiotics are like Chemo to Microbes

Chemotherapy kills cancer cells and healthy cells. Many official cancer deaths are actually chemo deaths, and those who survive chemotherapy are likely to experience cancer again, often within five years.

Antibiotics create a similar scenario. They wipe out all microbes in their path, including the more recently discovered “good bacteria” that are now known to be a large part of our immune system. In other words, they harm our immune systems, paving the way for future infections.

Not only that, there are definite connections between our gut probiotic colonies and the nervous system. Antibiotics also adversely affect our nervous systems by wiping out the probiotic gut colonies that many are calling our “second brain” because they communicate with the central nervous system.

For starters, we need a healthy gut microbiome or internal ecosystem to maintain health regardless of external conditions. A large portion of necessary gut microbiota bacteria gets wiped out from antibiotic use, sometimes permanently.

Professor Martin Blaser from New York University’s (NYU) Langone Medical Center states:

Early evidence from my lab and others hints that, sometimes, our friendly flora never fully recover. These long-term changes to the beneficial bacteria within people’s bodies may even increase our susceptibility to infections and disease. Overuse of antibiotics could be fueling the dramatic increase in conditions such as obesity, type 1 diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, allergies and asthma, which have more than doubled in many populations. [Emphasis added] (Source)

Even mainstream medicine’s WebMD acknowledges this disastrous effect in the first line of a report, stating:

Antibiotic overuse doesn’t just lead to drug-resistant superbugs, it may also permanently wipe out the body’s good bacteria. (Source)

Overuse includes prescribing antibiotics for viral and fungal infections, where they only eliminate the good guys since the bad bacteria aren’t even there to begin with.

Often incidents of candida overgrowth are due to the lack of balancing gut microbes and a particularly nasty bug called the Clostridium Difficile causing C Difficile Infection or Antibiotic Colitis, a highly infectious gastrointestinal infection that causes diarrhea and can lead to leaky gut and IBS. A specific probiotic, high potency Saccharomyces Boulardii, can protect against this infection. (Source)

Another overuse syndrome is prescribing overly powerful fluoroquinolone antibiotics for simple ear or sinus infections and urinary tract infections that can be overcome with high doses of vitamin C, colloidal silver, or other natural antibiotics.

Fluoroquinolones are second generation quinolone antibiotics, which were bad enough in their time, with fluorides attached to gain better cellular penetration. The problem is that also allows better blood brain barrier penetration.

The incredibly debilitating, painful, and long term side effects, such as tendon tearing and neurological conditions of fluoroquinolone antibiotics have been the subject of some documentaries. Some have been removed from the market, but the following remain: Levofloxacin (Levaquin) Ciprofloxacin (Cipro), Gemifloxacin (Factive), Moxifloxacin (Avelox), and Ofloxacin (Floxin). (Source)

Notice the “flox” in each term. Adverse side effect victims, sometimes from as little as one dose, call themselves “floxies” and use the phrase “I was floxed” on various flouroquinolone side effect groups.

Here’s a list of fluoroquinolone adverse side effects documented over a decade and a-half ago by Dr. Jay Cohen and reported in an earlier Health Impact News article:

  • Nervous system symptoms occurred in 91 percent of patients taking fluoroquinolones (pain, tingling and numbness, dizziness, malaise, weakness, headaches, anxiety and panic, loss of memory, psychosis)
  • Musculoskeletal symptoms in 73 percent of patients (tendon ruptures, tendonitis, weakness, joint swelling)
  • Sensory symptoms in 42 percent of patients (tinnitus, altered visual, olfactory, and auditory function)
  • Cardiovascular symptoms in 36 percent of patients (tachycardia, shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations)
  • Skin reactions in 29 percent of patients (rashes, hair loss, sweating, intolerance to heat or cold)
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms in 18 percent of patients (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain)

Here is a list from that same article of complaints among the several recent lawsuits against fluoroquinolone drug makers:

  • Retinal detachment, which can cause blindness
  • Hallucinations
  • Nausea and diarrhea
  • Acute kidney failure
  • Psychotic reactions
  • Hearing problems
  • Brain fog
  • Painful rashes
  • Disruptions to blood sugar metabolism
  • Depression
  • Phototoxicity (unbearable sensitivity to UV rays from sun or tanning beds)
  • Peripheral neuropathy (loss of feeling, pain, or tingling of limbs)
  • Insomnia

Even a pharmaceutical drug rep was once victimized or floxed by a fluoroquinolone antibiotic.

If you or a friend or family member is on or has recently used any of those fluoroquinolones then heavy probiotic and magnesium dosing is recommended. It’s been discovered that magnesium is rapidly depleted by these drugs, which leads to many of the adverse side effects.

Many Horror Stories Swept Under the Mainstream Media Rug

Here’s an antibiotic adverse side effect that’s unknown to almost everyone, and this one can occur from several types of antibiotics.

It’s called Stevens-Johnson syndrome or SJS. This syndrome is gruesome. The whole body begins to blister to the point where an SJS victim needs to be treated as a burn victim. It’s most often an adverse side effect of antibiotics.

Dr. Joshua Zeichner, a dermatology professor at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan explained:

“You’re not truly burned, but what happens is you have compromised the skin barrier function.”

He explained that the epidermis separates from the dermis.

Dr. Zeichner added that SJS reactions occur mostly from antibiotics, adding “Unfortunately, we have no way of predicting who would have this type reaction.”

How’s that for a surprise after taking an antibiotic for the sniffles?

Yes, There are Safe Alternative Options

Safer antibiotic solutions include colloidal silver, garlic, oil of oregano, Manuka honey, elderberry extracts, tea tree oil, Berberine, and Andographis.

Serious bacterial and viral infections can also be treated effectively and safely with high dose vitamin C (ascorbic acid), taken orally within bowel tolerance several times per day, or once daily with liposomal vitamin C, or with IV drips.

Remember, lawyers who are considered ambulance chasers don’t chase empty ambulances. Their actions are further proof adverse consequences from antibiotics are real. Unlike the vaccine protection racket, antibiotic manufacturers can be sued.

If you or someone close to you may have been victimized by fluoroquinolone antibiotic drugs, here’s a contact source for legal counsel. Simultaneously, report any adverse reactions through official channels, such as the FDA communication channels provided here.
