I ran over to Jean Ann Van Krevelen the other day – she had put out a shout for any veggie starts. Since she had been traveling she hadn’t had the chance to do much early planting this season. Since we don’t live too far from each other and I had planted more than enough tomato starts (well, maybe not enough – can you ever have too many tomatoes?), I tweeted back that I had a few to share.

I found her busy in her greenhouse, along with new intern Dede, planting seeds and trying to catch up! As I gave her 5 little starts she said these are ready to be potted up! That reminded me…I was here last year filming that process. Gee, I need to go back and look and that video as a refresher. I thought there might be others in the same boat, so here you go: how to pot-up your tomato starter plants! Not only does Jean Ann explain what it is, why it’s important to do, but (more importantly for us learners) how to do it.
